Satisfied with treatment leading up to and after surgery

Dr. McCarty is always pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. He’s my go-to doctor for orthopedic needs.

It was all good, he has worked on mine and my daughter's knee and getting excellent results.

The Dr was extremely gracious and knowledgeable. He is not one to get you on the operating table without first trying alternative treatments.!

Minimal wait time in clean facility. Staff was courteous & professional. Issues were clearly explained plus need for tests & follow up.

Always friendly from reception to departure at 27th St. Ortho, Dr. Mc Carty , Steve & Medical assistants are helpful, informative & always willing to explore alternatives that will help my problems. Have been a patient there since 2012. Very lucky to have them on my team. Also big shout out to Dr.Edwards, Ryan & Lani for being attentive to my problems. ♥️ Their phone/ scheduling staff are efficient, cheerful & understanding.And a shout out to Dr.Barinaga, Michelle & Claudia .Its amazing to have all of these people in my life

This is my second knee replacement. I found the first experience satisfying therefore when the second knee had to replaced I knew where to go. I now have two knees that work and are pain free.

Dr McCarty, Steve Zabel and his staff are informative, warm & attentive. They are efficient, yet never fail to take the time to explain or answer questions. I’m delighted with my care.

Dr. McCarty is an excellent Doctor and Surgeon. He listens closely to what your medical condition is and immediately comes up with the correct procedure and plan of action to follow. He has a excellent, knowledgeable staff who assists him.

Wonderful! Did both shoulders, both knees, and repaired a completely severed Achilles tendon. All doing fine as we speak. Would recommend to anyone!

I am very pleased with my left shoulder replacement surgery. Dr Mccarty is extremely competent and caring. I highly recommend him if you need surgery.

Had totally unnecessary knee surgeries from him and it’s ruined my active lifestyle. I wish I had sought out a second opinion instead of trusting this physician. He was way too quick to recommend surgery. Do yourself a favor, don’t trust him and go elsewhere.

Dr. McCarty repaired my right shoulder after a massive rotator cuff tear. Shoulder feels like it is brand new!

I saw Dr. McCarty today. It is a busy office, but is run like a well-oiled machine—from the front desk, the office assistant who took me back to the room, the x-ray technician and of course, the doctor himself and Steve, his PA. After the xrays, the doctor and Steve, his PA came in. Dr. McCarty is very nice and straight forward. I am 68 years old and have had previous meniscus surgery on both knees. Currently, I am having knee pain and I was hoping to just have the meniscus worked on again.He looked at the xrays and said the dreaded words “bone on bone” —no cartilage left. He gave me a cortisone shot (remarkably not painful—he uses a very small needle and numbs it well) in both my aching knees and said it may work for a while, but ultimate relief would only be found in knee replacements. I like it when it is just spelled right out in a kind way. I was very happy with the visit. Dr. McCarty obviously is an expert in his field. It is a very friendly, professional office.

Excellent surgeon. Kind person. Good listener. Conservative but cutting edge as well.

I wanted a 2nd opinion for my knee pain. At the appt only the xray report was forwarded. The PA came in & did a brief exam. Dr. McCarty came in and without an exam said i should have injections for arthritis, lose weight, and get exercise. I tried to explain that my mother and daughter's have a genetic disorder and not just arthritis. I tried to express to Dr. McCarty that I just wanted further testing before treating with injections and come back in 2 weeks. He refused & walked out of the room.

He was an amazing surgeon really nice explained everything.

Dr M is an amazing doc. As a wife of a surgeon, previous part owner of a surgical center, and private-practice health care provider, I am confident to strongly recommend Dr Mccarty. He is highly knowledgeable, professional and personable. I reside in Hawaii and travel to Milwaukee to have my procedures completed by him. I had successful results with one shoulder surgery, ( when 3other doctors were unable to successfully diagnose and treat), and am scheduled to now have the other shoulder done without hesitation. My surgeon -husband strongly encouraged me to return to Mccarty because he witnessed a great result. Dr M is an amazing doc. Dr. McCarty operated on my shoulder after other doctors could not diagnose the issue. He was able to diagnose and cure the issue through surgery. I can throw without pain again. My son had an ankle procedure done by Dr. McCarty, and has fully recovered and is playing U19 Select-level soccer with no issues. I have recommended Dr. McCarty to several people I know.

Dr. McCarty fixed my frozen shoulder with a labral tear. He was thorough in the exam and diagnostics, didn't rush to surgical option but was decisive when it was time. The surgery and physical therapy time went as expected and I've made a great recovery. He has a couple of VERY sharp PA's that are very knowledgeable, professional and make him more efficient and a better doctor in the process. While unfortunate to have seen many doctors, I think these two may be the best PA's I've seen.

Dr. McCarty & his entire staff provided confidence in terms of my decisions regarding appropriate care & options in order to yield the most positive of clinical items. My future is bright & without pain.

My daughter tore her ACL and meniscus during basketball her senior year of high school 3 years ago. We had another surgeon do the first surgery but she was still in a lot of pain. We switched to Dr. McCarty who had to do a complete repair from the first surgery. We are now 7 weeks out and my daughter's knee feels the best it has ever felt in 3 years. Her Physical Therapists at Lacrosse are impressed with her recovery; she is well ahead of schedule. We highly recommend Dr. McCarty!
