Great doctor in all categories! I underwent a C6 disc replacement. The surgery went great and so far my recovery has gone great. Their office is extremely responsive and easy to work with.

Dr. Kwon is very thorough, detailed and professional. With my first surgery, he reviewed the entire procedure, conveying yo me the up most confidence in his ability and his staff was fantastic. Any reservations or concerns that I had prior to surgery were quickly squelched.

Dr Kwon explained everything to me very clearly. I felt involved in the decision making. I haven’t had surgery yet, but so far I feel very good about Dr. Kwon.

Dr. Kwon is a lifesaver. Prior to my L5-S1 microdiscectomy in early January, I could not sleep, drive, sit or lay down for any length of time. The pain was excruciating, a significant impact to my everyday life and mental health. I experienced immediate and complete relief following the surgery and fully recovered in 2 weeks. I cannot thank Dr. Kwon enough for his amazing skill and bedside manner. I went to a different orthopedic specialist prior to consulting with Dr. Kwon and he made me feel like I was exaggerating, offering no real path forward or support. I saw Dr. Kwon in January 2021 for a disc injury. He was very personable and had great bed side manners. He would thoroughly explain my injury and guide me through my MRI images. He was also very transparent about the various options for addressing the injury. He would explain that “if I put this in a room of colleges at a conference, 1/3 would say X, 1/3 would say Y, etc” and gave reasoning behind each. This gave me a lot of clarity and confidence in the decision to do conservative treatment. He gave practical takeaways on how to manage the injury and a PT referral. Office doesn’t return calls. Dr Kwon dismisses patient complaints. Doesn’t take the time to listen. Only wants to hear about his successful surgeries. Very disappointed.

Poorly managed office. Had an initial consult in December 2020. Was instructed to follow up if cortisone injection was not effective. Called in May 2021 to schedule surgery consult after re-injury. Called, emailed, and Instant Messaged, for weeks and left numerous messages with their answering service and a receptionist who was covering for the original receptionist now on medical leave for 6+ weeks. Finally get a return call in mid July 2021 and appointment scheduled for 9AM. I arrive at NE Baptist Hospital, and was given poor instructions by receiving staff as to the 4th floor location of his office. I find another doctor kind enough to explain and take me to Dr. Kwon's office. It's now 9:10am an I go to check-in for my appointment, where I am told that he is unable to see me because I am too late. Prime example of yet another poorly run doctor's office. Definitely *DO NOT* & *WILL NOT* recommend this practice to friends/family/colleagues and will tell them to steer clear of this office. Dr Kwon is an exceptional surgeon and Dr. He performed an ACDF surgery on my C5-C6 area about a month ago. I saw 4 surgeons in total for this as I was nervous and unsure about the procedure. Dr Kwon set himself apart for several reasons. The first is that he spent over an hour with me during our initial consult. He was very patient as I have anxiety and asked a lot of questions. He went through every single issue I had, why we needed to do surgery, went over all the MRI images, and ultimately just made me comfortable. As a business person, I treat every one of my clients like they are part of my family. They are not treated as a number and that is exactly how Dr Kwon makes you feel when you are treated by him. He performed the surgery perfectly, I had very little pain or stiffness after. I was in and out of the facility in 5 hours total. I would highly recommend seeing Dr Kwon for any spine or neck related problems. He is a true master of his craft. He is smart, down to earth, and truly caring. Dr. Kwon is an exceptional surgeon and Dr. He is calm, cool, collected, and at times very funny. He is also extremely smart. He performed an ACDF surgery on my C5-C6 area about 4 weeks ago. I saw 4 surgeons in total and I picked Dr. Kwon for several reasons. The first reason is that during our initial consult he spent over an hour with me discussing every single aspect of what was wrong, why I needed surgery, and what he would do. While the other surgeons also recommended surgery, none of them gave me the time Dr Kwon did. As a business person, when someone spends their time with me and doesn't treat me like a number, that is what truly matters to me. The surgery went extremely well from what we can tell even though it is still early. I had very little pain and discomfort. I was in and out of the facility in 5 hours total. Dr Kwon is a master of his craft in all ways. He has great bedside manner. If you are having issues with your spine or neck go see Dr. Kwon!

Dr. Brain Kwon was both professional and understanding....because of him I can turn in ways I haven’t been able to do in years...but most of all .... I had my spinal surgery in 2018 and I can walk again. I think about how lucky I am every day. Dr. Kwon was the nicest Doctor I think I’ve ever met. He took what I said seriously, listened and was very kind. The surgery was very successful I’d say, 90% of my pain is gone and I don't have to take pain medication every day. Dr. Kwon really save my life, before I met him I was in a lot of pain, now after my surgery I full active life and enjoying my life pain free. His bed side manor is exceptional, he is clam and explain everything in easy manor. A true professional. Thank you Dr. Kwon

awful, terrible service. he yelled at me and told me to get out of his office then cut me from the plan I had with him. He didn't return any of my calls or emails and I never got a refund.

This review is a little late... 15 years late. Since the surgery he did lasted this long, (he said I might get 10 years), I say he did awesome. Smart, sharp and knows his way around the spine!! Top Doc in this field... Thank Dr. K

I myself am a physician with some extensive experience treating certain spine disorders (fractures) but I ruptured a disc in April; I was in so much pain that my wife took care of finding a doc for me. I worked in Manchester NH and probably would have gone there or to Portsmouth but through my RN wife's work she found out about Dr. Kwon. several things impressed me. First, he called me first. Even before I had made an appointment. that blew me away. I've never had a physician do that, ever. Second, when I met him, he explained everything to me, the procedure, risks, chances of success, etc. He was spot on. The surgery went very smoothly. As he had said, took me almost exactly 3-4 weeks to recover and as he said the pain improved with some persistent numbness and pain for up to 3 weeks, as he had predicted. I appreciate candor, and it increased my confidence as well as my satisfaction knowing that everything he said was accurate. Hope I don't need any more spine interventions but I doubt I'd even look at alternatives.

While my surgeries did not relieve my pain, Dr. Kwon is a fantastic doctor. He creates a great and honest dialogue about all the options while keeping everything understandable and realistic. On June 11,2019 marked one yr that I had back surgery by Dr. Kwon. I had a laminectomy, fusion and bone graft. I chose Dr.Kwon for the following. He has a positive attitude regardless of age, great surgical expertise...minimally invasive surgery, good communicator, very engaging, honest, available. He's just a great person.And our last visit was bittersweet...great all was well but hopefully we won't have to meet again.

Dr. Kwon is a masterful surgeon and a wonderful communicator.

5 years after surgery and still going strong. I was having problems even walking now its like I never had back problems. Extremely professional and personable. All questions are welcomed and answered fully. I highly recommend Dr. Kwon for any back related injury.
