I went to Dr Hood for a rotator cuff on my left arm. I'm also left handed. Had approximately 2 month waiting period for my surgery. It was well worth the wait. Surgery was on 6th December. I could feel the difference right after surgery in the pain relief alone.I have almost full use of my arm today one month later.I think he is very professional in my opinion. Up date on left rotator cuff :Little over 2 years after my surgery, arm is doing great. Minor pain now and then, other than that glad I had it done. DR. HOOD WAS GREAT AS WAS HIS WHILE STAFF. THEY WERE EASY TO TALK TO, PERSONABLE AND ALWAYS RETURNED A PHONE CALL. DR. HOOD GAVE US HONEST ANSWERS TO ALL OUR QUESTIONS REGARDING MY HUSBANDS SHOULDER SURGERY. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO GO BACK TO HIM OR REFER HIM.

I would highly recommend Dr Hood as your knee replacement surgery physician. I am extremely pleased with his expertise, competence and experience. The outcome of my knee replacement is 100% positive! I found Dr. Hood, the nurses and staff at Fremont Memorial Hospital and the Physical Therapists to be very attentive, professional and ready to answer my questions. He did left and right rotator cuffs. No pain, also all of range of motion!

Excellent! He was friendly. He gave me a choice of treatments. The injection was the most painless I believe I have had. 1

Dr Dr had good bedside manner before my surgery Dr came in and visited with me I had a complaint my complaint was I didn't see him before surgery only seen pa in his office.after surgery gave good summary of operation.Dr did fantastic surgery..

He is an experienced, talented orthopedic surgeon who can answer your questions and help you understand what is wrong and how he can fix it.

All I can say is please get another Doctor. Call Muskegon or call Spectrum Orthopedic group in Grand Rapids. I ended up in ICU at Butterworth Hospital after a simple 35 minute Arthroscopic surgery.

I went in to receive eufflexa shots for my knee pain, dr. Hood gave me a steroid shot instead! Never looked at my records! This guy is the head surgeon? He was the most unprofessional "Dr" I've ever dealt with. When I made the appointment I said I needed to get eufflexa shots. I've been there three different times in the past for eufflexa shots with another dr. who is no longer in Fremont. I've Never had a steroid shot. I was told he just assumed I wanted a steroid shot. After I was given the shot he told me to have a nice life, that was when I questioned coming back for my next two eufflexa shots, his hands went to his head as he says I just gave you a steroid shot, my fault that's my mistake. Dr. Hood is a fantastic doctor and surgeon I highly recommend him for any Orthopedic issues, great bed side manner and very skilled!
