Great experience from beginning to end. The atmosphere in the office is relaxed and friendly, while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Dr. Hoeflinger and his PA, Jenny, took the time to walk me through every aspect of my MRI, asked pertinent questions, and listened to my answers. Dr. Hoeflinger presented all of my options, including non-surgical treatment, allowing me to make a truly informed decision. I decided to have surgery, and at 1 month post-op, I feel better than I have in months.

He does not leave you waiting long for him to see you. I have complete confidence & faith in his ability to take care of me.

The videos were very helpful! Great experience with surgery and recovery. Pain from prior to surgery is completely gone.

Aside from the video and what I’ve been told in the office conflicting on a few fronts everything has been wonderful and they have answered every question I’ve had and helped along the way.

Dr. Hoeflinger explained everything for me to understand and look for during the prcoedures and what to do and what not to do.

Dr. Hoeflinger was excellent-calming and knowledgeable. His office staff was helpful and pleasant and the scheduler worked hard with my insurance to get me in quickly. My surgery results are excellent.

Dr. Hoeflinger did my Laminectomy on 4/19 and I have had a total reduction in pain without complications less than a month later. He treated me like he would everyone else despite me being plus size and having many potential complications. I can’t say enough about him and his entire office staff.

Everything was good

He is an excellent surgeon. Good beside manner. Very thorough with the surgery procedure. I came out of surgery w/ no pain. Had pain for 17 years. Not sure why I waited so long. I feel like I am in heaven.

I appreciated how well Dr. Hoeflinger explained the problem and the procedure to me.

Post op day 2 I called the phone number for a question about pain management. Apparently this wasn't the number I should have called. It took awhile to get a nurse to call back. This is my only issue with the whole experience.

The treatment I received at the clinic and McLaren St. Luke's was exemplary. The video was done quite well but was something used against me. My family all watched the video and the after surgery parts in order to keep me in line.

Would definitely recommend Dr. Hoeflinger to anyone with back issues. His knowledge about spinal problems is fully explained to your satisfaction, which makes you feel at ease.

Dr. Hoeflinger and the staff arw absolutely the best. They are a great group from the schedulers, check in, nurses and of course Dr. Hoeflinger.

I didn't realize how bad my cervical neck had become which was probably causing me a constant migraine and extreme brain fog. Since having the ACDF surgery with Dr. Hoeflinger, my brain fog is minimal and I don't have that constant migraine pain in my head any longer. I also have noticed sensations that nerves control throughout my body coming back to a more full capacity along with my energy level rising. I would highly recommend seeing him to see if he can help you with any needs you may have. I highly recommend Dr Brian Hoeflinger if you are looking for a Neurosurgeon for a spine/back issue. I had a rt L4-L5 laminectomy, discectomy, and foraminotomy for a severely herniated disc on 12/29/21. Everything from my pre-op appt to surgery to post-op appts and final appt went smoothly and without any major issues. Dr.Hoeflinger listened to my concerns the first visit, we decided surgery was my best option and I’m so glad that I did that. It’s only been a couple of months since I had my spinal fusion but my pain is so much better now, Of course I am still sore and still healing, but my scar looks great too. The first five days post-op were difficult with muscle spasms. After that, they continued with less frequency. No more spasms after 3.5 weeks. The doctor and his staff have been helpful and courteous. I highly recommend Dr. Hoeflinger to anyone having a similar condition as I did.

I had a spinal fusion and laminectomy over 12 years ago. My quality of life has been amazing since my surgery. I have been able to do everything I want to do: gardening, kayaking, walking, vacations and even amusement parks with grandchildren. Highly recommend this physician.

I’m only 22 and have had two back surgeries (including a spinal fusion) performed by Dr. Hoeflinger. Both times, Dr. Hoeflinger did an outstanding job in all aspects. He is one of the most personable healthcare professionals I have ever worked with and his commitment and desire to “fixing you” is so obvious with every visit or interaction with Dr. Hoeflinger. The first surgery helped with the massive migrains. Unforunately, that caused another issue to arise. After the second surgery everything that was hurting and causing my numbness was gone. I am really glad that I decided to get the surgery.

My recovery from surgery is going well. My original symptoms are gone. I'm only dealing with the pain associated with the muscles healing. Highly recommend surgery and this surgeon.

I was in great pain until Dr. Hoeflinger did surgery on my spine. Now I am pain free.

The only thing I would change is asking for an OT or PT to go over how to safely go about normal activities at home after returning from the hospital.

Dr. Hoeflinger was amazing. Even with the mask on, I could still see his smile. My back pain was unbearable before surgery. Now 30 days out, I'm about 75% better. Him and his whole staff were caring and supportive. They made sure I understood everything before and after. Thank you very much for healing my pain.

Videos were fabulous. It was great to see Dr. Hoeflinger's personal touch. Just loved it! It made me feel good to see what he was going to do in surgery, showing exactly what was going to be done. I watched it several times.

Dr. Hoeflinger is the best! Make sure to "take it slow and steady." Listen to him and the videos and you'll be set.

I am so happy with how my fusion surgery went. Dr. Hoeflinger and his staff were amazing. The videos explaining the surgery were so helpful - it was spot on on so many things and that helped me get through it.

Dr. Hoeflinger made sure I knew what to expect going into surgery. He was very considerate of all my needs. Surgery went well and I am feeling better every day. He explained to me that it will take time to get completely back to normal. I am well satisfied with the results and would recommend this surgery and Dr. Hoeflinger to everyone.

It can be painful the first few days but the overall results are very worth the pain those first few days.

The video was so helpful and important. I did have trouble with pain control once discharged from the hospital. Going from 2 pain pills to 1 was not effective post operatively but your office promptly responded to my needs and your nurses (Kris) were wonderful helping me through this difficult time.

Everything was great, nice people, wonderful doctor. I don’t think I was informed enough about what to do when I left the hospital (i.e., how to get out of a chair, get in bed, etc). I went to the local hospital unit and that really helped me. Would recommend that for all.

Dr Hoeflinger performed my spinal fusion. Immediately felt better after surgery with no more leg pain. This man is no nonsense, no B.S. He tells You like it is. I would highly recommend his services to those seeking spinal surgery.

I was totally calm going into my surgery. That was due to all of the information I was given by Dr. Hoeflinger's office prior. From the time I was admitted until I was discharged, it was the best surgical experience I ever had. I appreciated Dr. Hoeflinger's caution in keeping me an extra day. The staff at St. Luke's was exceptional - very caring and responsive. Back surgery can be scary - Dr. Hoeflinger and everyone involved made it wonderful.

I had a lumbar laminectomy almost 3 months ago and I am doing wonderful so far!

Maybe he is fine if you are going for more normal issues. However he is to proud to admit he doesn't know what to do with rare conditions. He threw me in the pysc ward and told my wife I made us the symptoms. An ER nurse's comments saved me from his lack of expertise in his choosen field. We later found out she caught and documented the issue. Hoeflinger had her notes and obviously ignored them! Two weeks later my primary care Dr sent me to Cleveland Clinic for the same issues. They did emergency brain surgery. After the fact CCF Dr's informed us that I would have died had I not come when we did.. No Dr knows everything but a wise man can admit 'I don't know' when he doesn't have a clue. Bottom line is that if we had listened to him I would not be here to type this note.
