I haven't been able to see this doctor in years due to my insurance coverage but still hold him as the standard of care that I wish I could see in all of my medical care. Dr Drake genuinely cares, listens and respects his patients. He addressed concerns about surgery in a patient and understanding manner. I can only hope that my coverage changes in the future, allowing me to return to the excellence in care that he showed me years ago.

I wish I could leave less than one star... Dr. Drake performed two surgeries on me. The first, an ooferectomy, went fine. However the second surgery, a complete hysterectomy one year later, was a different story. His bedside manner was curt/discourteous. He prescribed an IV pain medicine which caused me to projectile vomit. The nurse called him to ask to switch to the other medicine from before and he refused to prescribe anything else. I tried taking the medicine again to see if it was just a fluke, but I ended up projectile vomiting again. So I had to lay in the hospital in pain for two days. At the post op appointment he acted distracted/uninterested in meeting with me. When I asked him why I got a different pain medicine after surgery, his reply was, "Because that is what I prescribed." That was my last interaction with him. I honestly have no idea why I was treated so rudely by this doctor.

Dr Drake has handled both pregnancies of mine. My first pregnancy I had extreme complications. He was able to recognize those issues and put into action a plan to deliver a happy healthy baby. He is so genuine. Very happy, caring, knowledgeable and understanding doctor. I will never ever go through a pregnancy without him being my obgyn.
