Dr. Brett Alan Faulknier

I had several operations with very complicated heart issues. No blockages but mainly valve and electrical issues. After being hit by my internal defibrillator I could barely walk. My cardiologist sent me to Dr. Brett Faulknier, to see if everything was working correct with all the settings on my pacemaker. After I was thoroughly checked out and started heading home I received a call from Dr. Faulkner his self, on my cell phone, asking me if I could come back in his office, he wanted to try something. My wife brought me back immediately and he explained he wanted to try different settings and have me walk around the office area while he tweaked the settings to see if it would help me. It was almost unbelievable, I was able to walk back to the car like nothing was wrong with me. All because Dr. Faulkner was still thinking about what else he could do for me even after I had left his office. Fortunately for me I was blessed with an extremely caring and compassionate electrophysiologist.

I Dr Faulknier gave me an ablation and implanted a pacemaker. I ended up with a large, angry-looking lump sticking out from my chest, covered by a layer of skin that was stretched so thin that every bump and wire on the device was clearly visible. I was told that because of a previous bilateral mastectomy, this was the way it was . I resigned myself to a life of physical discomfort, embarrassment from often inappropriate baggy clothes, and fitful sleeping. 19 month later I had emergency surgery because the device was starting to break through the skin, making me at risk for a lethal infection. The surgeon repositioned the device into muscles under my arm. I am now fine. I could comment more about lack of competence in not only skill but in being a total physician, but a remark from one of my sons says it all: “ Mom, I guess they gave you the senior citizen special and it didn’t work out”

Dr. Faulknier not only listened to me but he heard what I was saying. What a refreshing experience. And to top it off, i am feeling much better!

Caring and very in touch with your needs

Dr. Faulknier performed an ablation procedure on me. I could not be more pleased with his competence and overall demeanor. He is a wonderful addition to Vero Beach.

The first time I met him, he took his time to listen, explain and answer questions. One of the best physicians I have been to. He also schedules procedures very promptly.
