About Dr. Brent G Nick
Reviews for Dr. Brent G Nick
The doctor is very talkative. He talked for 15 minutes but solved nothing for our daughter. Didn't even care to listen to our story. Worst pediatrician experience. Stay away
The visit with this doctor did not go well. He seemed outright annoyed, bitter and made my 9 year old daughter feel uncomfortable to say the least. Sensing that she was uncomfortable (and ill), he actually said sternly that he “didn’t have time for this” and demanded that she lay down on the table and “not to waste his time” because he had sick infants to attend to. I really wonder if he has daughters…either way, I don’t believe he has any business working in pediatrics. When I told him that she hadn’t been eating for days due to being sick, he passive aggressively replied, “wow! Your cooking is that bad?!” I might have laughed it off if he hadn’t been so cold towards my child. When he finally left, he said I could print out her doctor’s note online and ran off. That was odd too being that I’ve always been given a note…Any other doctor I have seen or taken my children to, have treated us with respect and dignity. Awful. He was ironic, rude and gave me only incorrect information about breastfeeding. It could have changed my breastfeeding journey if he had had said something correct instead of having a schedule for a 1 month old.
We got stuck with Dr. Nick because our normal pediatrician was out all week. He did not listen to any of my concerns about my son, instead talking over me and telling me that everything I was pointing out was normal. Yes, maybe these things singularly are normal but when combined, to me and the ENT I spoke to and triage nurse from their facility thought it is a cause for concern. He told me that if I didn’t like what he was saying then I should go get a second opinion from one of the other 90 doctors at their facility. He was so confrontational almost to the point that he was raising his voice at me. I even asked several times, why he was talking to me like that and being so rude. I walked out before the appointment was even over. Horrible experience all around.
Blamed the fact that it's the 21st century and he couldn't make sexist comments instead of taking responsibility for making lewd comments and touching me inappropriately.
Awesome doctor. He’s always very helpful & answers every question you have very well
My baby's pediatrician was out, so I settled for Dr. Nick, figured just this once. Well, he turned out to be amazing. Loved his energy, he was helpful and very clear in explaining things. He is our new pediatrician from this point on.
Awful. Made inappropriate comments and made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
My two teen sons love Dr. Nick. He is energetic and has a great sense of humor. He speaks to them just as much as me, and he explains procedures before he starts. Iâve never felt rushed or disregarded during our visits.
My experience with Dr. Nick was uncomfortable at best. I felt he came into the room with a random list of topics he felt he wanted to chat about regardless of how irrelevant they were to my situation. He told me about the harms of cows milk (which no one in my family drinks) and co-sleeping (which we also don't do), he lectured on and on about how some unhealthy meals can be made healthier (didn't ask for cooking advice). He responded to my questions with strange unrelated canned responses. The best part was when I asked for sleeping tips for my 9 month old that had quit sleeping through the night, I mentioned our current process of my husband getting her from her crib so that I could nurse in bed, his response: "wow great husband!" - as if my partner shouldn't be expected to assist at all in night feedings since I'm breast feeding? The whole appointment was exhausting, as a mom that hasn't had a full night of sleep in 9 months this was the last thing I needed. My experience with Dr. Nick was uncomfortable at best. Dr. Nick examined my grandson (he was staying with us for the weekend) after a near-fainting episode after track workout; everything turned white followed by dizziness and inability to walk in a straight line. Dr. Nick asked many questions about the episode and events and conditions surrounding the episode. Dr. Nick reached the diagnosis that the episode was brought on by a combination of an underlying strep infection, running wind sprints for track in the heat, resting for a few minutes and then standing up from a sitting position too quickly after running the sprints - i.e. the perfect storm of virus/infection, strenuous exercise, and heat. His diagnosis and multi-part explanation of how he reached the diagnosis ensured our confidence in his findings. He prescribed anti-biotics and rest. We will definitely continue to be a patient of Dr. Nick.

Dr. Nick saw my three year old who has been sick with an upper respiratory infection for a couple weeks. Despite her obvious wet cough and discomfort, he claimed her respiratory track was clear, spoke down to me, and refused to prescribe antibiotics without a blood test... for a three year old. After subjecting her to the blood test, the lab results came back the next day. Indeed, a bacterial infection, and so they finally called in the prescription. I'll be looking for a doctor that cares.
WORSE PEDIATRIC DOCTOR EVER!!!!
