Brendan B Mitchell

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Mitchell. I have been a patient of his for years and he is always professional, knowledgeable and caring. When we moved to the area, we asked two physician friends of ours who they each recommended for an ob/gyn and they both said Dr. Mitchell, hands down. They described him as a talented surgeon and attentive, trustworthy care provider. They were spot on, that’s exactly what I’ve experienced in his care. He was a lifesaver during my complicated twin pregnancy + delivery as well as during my breast cancer diagnosis + treatment at 35-years-old. The nursing and office staff at Women’s Care are always friendly, responsive and helpful. Don’t hesitate to partner with Dr Mitchell and this office for your healthcare needs.

I saw Dr Mitchell for my routine 6 week PP appointment, as my primary OB was not available. I tried speaking to him about my low libido and asking for anything I might do to help. As this was my first child, I was unaware of what “normal” was. After finding out my husband is a physician, Dr Mitchell told me I need to have sex with him or else my husband will find it somewhere else. He also said that once I’m in my 40’s I will be the one with the high libido and my husband will have to be the one begrudgingly having sex then. It was an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional experience. I do not understand why someone would choose a speciality focusing on women when they obviously have no respect for them.

Awful experience. He didn’t take time to listen to what I needed. I knew my body and I felt like something was completely wrong. Feeling pains In my stomach and uncomfortable. My baby died at 39 weeks and he was my doctor. I do not recommend him .

Dr Mitchell made me feel very uncomfortable he was kinda racist some of the comments he made made me feel really bad even during labor he said some comments I didn't like. He's great at what he does but he shouldn't say inappropriate things to his patients I will switch doctor after This

Prior to giving birth, I had good experiences with Dr. Mitchell, but I mainly saw his nurse practitioner. He was totally neglectful while I was in labor and didn't listen to my concerns and because of this, wasn't there for the actual delivery. I switched to Dr.Mitchell after multiple terrible experiences with KU. He helped me get a handle on my health and gave amazing advice! He listens to my suggestions in my health care and truly makes me feel like an equal partner. He's an amazing doctor and helps reinforce that I, as the patient, am my primary care provider. He is totally Awesome!

Dr Mitchell is the best he delivered my son 9years and is delivering my daughter .....I'm almost 37 week's!!!!!!

Dr Mitchell is my favorite obgyn he always made sure I was comfortable during my pregnancy and always answerd my questions he's definately somebody I would recommend seeing he's smart, funny and very witty I love him and will definately continue seeing him

He made my delivery the most special moment in life thus far.. we literally reenacted kourtney kardashian when she pulled her baby out of her wound into the world.. we did that!!! It was amazing!!!! Threw out the pregnancy doctor Mitchell was super cool friendly and helped me bring in a healthy baby.. for sure if I have more children I will be looking for doctor Mitchell as the obgyn... I love love love Dr.Mitchell... He is the only doctor I dealt with when I was pregnant with both of my kids. He’s very kind, caring, and funny!!!! I only want to continue dealing with him. He’s fantastic and great at his job. An yu can tell he loves doing his job too!!! A+ Dr.Mitchell :)

Best Doc in the history of Docs! I've been going to him for over a decade and trust only him! I was under his care during both of my pregnancies and deliveries and takes great care of me every time I see him - he's smart, practical, efficient, personable (he knows and remembers so much about my family, he's practically family), sensitive to your time and needs and always gives his full attention! Dr.Mitchell was my OBGYN for my 1st and last pregnancy. He was an absolute pleasure to visit the entire 9 months of the best time of my life. He was always honest, relaxed, and kept me sane when I had a million questions -which I appreciated a lot. Dr. Mitchell is fantastic! He has been my doctor for several years. He is down to earth, funny, kind, and practical. I really enjoy visiting with him and he is just a great guy! He was my doctor through both of my pregnancies and I was lucky enough to have him in the delivery room for my second child's birth. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Mitchell! Dr.Mitchell was on OBGYN for my first and only pregnancy and he was great. Very upfront, relaxed, and informative during my pregnancy which kept me stress and worry free. Any concerns I had he addressed and he always had a great story or joke to share which kept me and my Husband laughing. I do suggest going to the OPKS location if you're going to see him, Shawnee is not my favorite between the two.

I was referred to Dr.Mitchell by a pregnancy center and my son passed away the final week of pregnancy. I do feel that if my doctor would have put me in the hospital on bed rest (after having a very difficult pregnancy) we could have avoided this entire situation and my son might still be alive. I was devastated thinking everything was going to be just fine. Will be using a different doctor moving forward.

Dr. Mitchell is very thorough and doesn't rush you out. I've been to many obgyns and I plan to continue going to this practice.
