Professional and consistent. I know that some say that he doesn’t give enough medicine but he is not responsible for the new guidelines

Avoid at all costs! This place is the worst and the nurses and office manager are the most unprofessional I’ve ever spoken with! Save your money and find a better pain management. Also, Dr. Claflin is/was in a bit of legal trouble for accepting kick-backs. Do your research and stay away from this place.

The staff are all courteous and professional. Dr. Claflin is very nice and his treatment has made my life much better. I am able to keep up with the teens I foster because of his care.

Unfortunately, my insurance only covers this Dr but I would say the Dr is label incorrectly. He is NOT into to pain management as with other reviews, I have severe chronic migraines. He will only do botox but only if you basically "twist his arm"... I already have my neurologist do that procedure. Dr. Claffin did it once but he would not listen to me I tried to tell him was to add to extra spots but he said he could only follow the chart... Ugh and like my other Drs wanted him to manage all of my pain medicines!!! You would think that you fall under his scope of practice. This office treated my 70 year old mother like the worst kind of druggy. She has chronic pain and due to the new drug laws her family doctor sent her to a pain management and she had her first appointment on August 20 at which time my mother left thoroughly confused. He sent her away with no medication and no other treatments. After a month of no pain relief or sleep, she went to her next appointment and he was not even there. They said he could not see her for another month. I have handled my mothers medications for years and she has done well. Now she is doesn't sleep, she is severely depressed due to extreme pain and she looks 10 years older. She will see a different doctor this week and hopefully get some type of care. I’m really sorry some of these people have had problems. I love Dr. Claflin and his staff (shout out to Nikki in billing). They have been so kind and patient with me. My insurance this year is terrible and they’re working with me to find the best treatment I can afford. EVERYONE in this office has bent over backwards to answer all my crazy questions. This is not a pill mill. I was with my previous pain Dr for 8 years that turned into a pill mill with a horrendous staff. I really appreciate an office that treats me so nice. People need to realize they have to get to know you as a patient. Dr Claflin is so easy to talk to and gives you the pros and cons. I’m really sorry some of these people have had problems. It did not help at all. Finally, my primary care doctor ordered an MRI and I had to have immediate surgey.

He was the best he fixed me up and got me to speed

Nurses aren’t friendly and I missed one appointment and got cancelled as a patient when I called and told them about the emergency but he still won’t see me again or call me back. Yes I would go back to him cause he’s the only doctor that has given me something that works but they blow you off when you call.

Worst doctor I have ever been to. He repeatedly said he was not a pill doctor but only offered me pills. He flat out lied to me about the information my neurosurgeon had sent him. I don't believe he ever reviewed my MRI results. If you are looking to get your pain resolved, you would do better to look elsewhere.

Dr. claflin was always concerend about my well being and although there had been a misunderstanding with scheduling and the doctor already having time he needed to take off, The doctor and his staff, especially the nurses were very kind to myself and my boys. They knew them by name and always complimented their behavior, although it mau not have always beem the best. The doctor had always taken good care of me for over four years and i felt like family to them. I've been seeing Dr. Claflin for almost 2 years now. He has always taken his time to talk to me, explain my plan of care and seems to be caring of what I say. I've never been denied the help I need from him and he is willing to let me have a say in my treatment. He also follows the guidelines for RX's to a T. Something I find comforting. Very professional, great staff, Heather and Lee are the best. Always on time and courteous.

I actually carry Dr. Claflin's cards with me and recommend him because I think he is THAT good. He spent months identifying where my pain originated, instead of just where I experienced it. He didn't just write me a prescription and pat me on the head. It took time, but he found the best solution for me. He does due diligence in drug testing for compliance. He listens very well, and explains procedures before they are performed as well as during the procedure itself.

I have not had very good experiences here. I feel that it is a very unprofessional environment and unsanitary. I have received injections in the past and the nurse always comes in and sits the gloves down on the counter (as in taken out of the box in another room and brought into the patient room and they are placed on top of the counter). The needles are always in unopened sanitary packaging, but how sanitary is it when the gloves aren't taken directly out of the box and put on, but rather carried into another room with someone's bare hands touching them before they're placed onto an unsanitary surface and then used for patient treatment? The walls are paper thin and you can always hear the (supposedly confidential) conversations being had between patients and the doctor in the patient rooms on either side of the room you're being seen in. Not to mention the nurses that hang out, chit chat, laugh and carry on right outside the patient rooms. I'm all for having fun at work, but again, it's not professional when there is loud cackling and conversations being held just outside the paper thin walls where you can hear every patient name being said and every word being spoken. I also feel that you're rushed through your visit and that you are more like a number versus a patient when you come in. I feel more like a dollar sign to them. I've continued to seek treatment because I feel as if the injections have truly worked, but I'm so fed up with the environment, unprofessionalism, and overall lack of customer service that I'd rather seek treatment elsewhere at this point. The receptionist/scheduler always seems to be annoyed or put out by actually helping patients and she has absolutely no personality. She is not friendly at all and always makes me feel like she hates her job. The one time I scheduled an 8:00am appointment, no one was there to open the office until 8:10am-8:15am and another patient and I both had to wait outside in the cold until someone arrived, making us late for our appointments... This last flub, is the straw that broke the camel's back. They mistakenly rescheduled my next appointment for the wrong day (after writing down the initial, correct appointment on one of their own appointment cards for me) and then insisted that they didn't mistakenly reschedule me for the wrong day (two weeks after I'm supposed to be scheduled), so now I have to wait an additional two weeks.
