My son had a procedure and wanted me to come with him to talk with the doctor. Doctor Hunter refused to allow me in the room and would not even allow me to be on speaker phone to listen in and ask questions. This doctor does not care about his patients. I will travel to Atlanta before ever going back to this selfish doctor or his joke of a facility. They need to learn they are here to serve their patients not the other way around. Not a good experience

Disrespectful of a patient’s time. Turned my sister away for THEIR failure to relay the appropriate arrival time. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Would never recommend.

These doctors have no respect for a person's time or money. Dr. Hunter is someone I would not recommend at all for care. Go somewhere else.

I was recommended to come here by another doctor. I wish i would have looked into what people had to say about the facility before going. The comments below about feeling like your time isn't important is too true.

I'm thankful every day that Dr. Hunter came into my life 5 years ago. If not, I probably wouldn't be here today. Thank you Dr. Hunter.

Dr. Hunter is ok but his staff in savannah (nurse) is rude and doesn't call you back when she says . Waiting on test results are nerve wrecking enough without not being able to recieve them . Don't matter how good a doctor is if he has a bad staff it reflects on him or her .

I had a great experience with Dr Hunter! I had 2 procedures done colonoscopy and EGD. I’m a high risk patient and Dr hunter and him staff took excellent care of me! He maded sure my procedures was done in the hospital so if I was having any problems he had back up! I felted very safe. The nurses and anesthesia was wonderful! They reassured I would be fine when they put me to sleep! I would recommend Dr Hunter to all my family and friends! I had a great experience with Dr Hunter! horrible bedside manner and extremely condescending

Dr. Hunter is very nice. But his office staff and follow-up are abysmal. Was due for my screening colonoscopy. Left voicemails for the scheduler for 6 weeks. Never did get a callback for an appointment. This comes after a similar situation 3 years ago. Also, a previous imaging study revealed a growth that the radiologist recommended a follow-up on in his interpretation. The only reason the follow-up was done is that I am a nurse and I happened to read the radiologist's report about 6 months later when I happened to request my medical records. Luckily it was not cancer because in that six months, it could have progressed. Do not recommend Dr. Hunter.

Should be a negative 5. Can't get anyone to call back for days. My mother has cancer hasn't been feeling good got an infection from hospital when Dr. Hunter did a procedure at St. Joes. She's been calling for her follow up and get her second procedure. But only get answering machines. Finally get in 3 weeks later to get more issues. Call in medicine she's allergic too. Asked for a different medicine only to have more problems. The nurses are to busy to call in correct medicine than wait for days to call in new medicine. By than my mother is really sick to tell her go the er. Find a Dr office that has time for patients not just insurance or money. Some people in this office do a good job but most are way to busy for the amount patients and forget. They need to hire group of nurses who stay working the phones and fax lines calling in medicines. Dr Hunter is a very informative doctor he takes the time to answer questions and discuss any concerns.

Awful! Came once and never came back! He doesn’t take time to explain to his patients. He’s short tempered and almost argumentative. The wait in the office to see him is very lengthy, not that he’s good. People that I know said the same thing about this office.

It's weird to have a Practice and never show your face. However, you are capable of making decisions that effect peoples lives. I was told that I needed this specific procedure done. When I asked if their were any other options I immediately got the cold shoulder. The "Schedulers" all need to be trained on prompt service and mannerism. I will not be returning this useless practice. A year and a half and just as bad as I was when I 1st walked through the door. Thanks for nothing! Dr Hunter has been doing my colon test for a few years and I trust him although I have run into him having a short temper he is good and I don't see why they touch your stomach the first visits but beside doing the colon test , never touch your stomach to see if there is a change , but I will have my test done by him again soon . Great experience in the endoscopy center and at Dr. Hunter's office! Since being treated by Dr. Hunter a few years ago, I've had no problems at all.

It's hard to believe some of these people are writing about the same doctor that I have seen for 7 years now. He is rather busy but this city does not have enough doctors in this field. Dr. Hunter is kind, professional, caring and certainly has never been ill-tempered. I have routinely taken others that express the same support for him. I know it's not a fun place to go but the staff makes it bearable! The back room folks that assist you after the procedure are a dream too! Dr. Hunter has been treating me since 2008. He was the ONLY Dr. that did not give up on me when I had end stage liver disease. There were others that just didn't seem to care. He has been treating me along with Mayo since. He's a wonderful Dr., with good bedside manners, caring and compassionate, and deserves more than the 2 stars that was listed here. He's very knowledgeable. I was fortunate to get him when the other Dr. in his practice gave up on me.

I don’t know where this doctor was voted best doctor of the year hanging on the wall. Needs to act like one or take it down. He has no bad side manner and not a compassionate doctor at all! Won’t be seeing me anymore! If you have a question that doesn’t flow through his ears, he start to get Loud and talk like in an argumentative manner. He would say stuff like this is how o do my things. He doesn’t listen to his patients. Very abrupt. I think the office staff voted for him.

I have never dealt with a doctor's office that makes things so hard. I never scheduled the appointment, because I had to sign a medical release for a similar doctor I saw ten years ago. So, their procedure was I had to go in a sign the report, then they would request the documents, then the doctor would review, then the would call and schedule an appointment. Even though I had a doctor referral I would be lucky to see the doctor in four months. When you are sick it shouldn't be this hard.

My experience with Dr. Hunter was great. I have eosinophilic esophagitis and had big problems swallowing. He treated me at his endoscopy center, I've been on medications, and I'm symptom-free (for the past 3 years)... I should have reviewed him long ago... but now I'm due for a screening colonoscopy. Can't escape age.
