Surgery was successful, but like many doctors terrified to prescribe pain meds so my son just writhed in pain for days while recovering from surgery.

Dr. Morganstern listen to my concerns, gave me time to speak, took time to research my health records and was exceptional answering my questions and how to follow up with my diagnosis. My awesome experience was highly due to the visit I had with Dr. Morganstern. He is a skilled and caring physician.

Thank you, Dr. Morganstern for not letting me give up. Listening to your advice has made me well and in remission for longer than I've been in over 20 years!

Dr. Morganstern is the best! He has great bedside manor I would highly recommended him. I was diagnosed with celiac's disease about 8 months ago now and he has made something that was pretty difficult at first so much easier . His office is always so friendly

*Edit: After my sour experience yesterday with the reception in the office, what a difference a day makes. Dr. Morganstern reached out to me via email. I am impressed with his professionalism and am looking forward to eventually meeting with him. Once I re-schedule an appointment, I will post an updated review. Thank you Dr. Morganstern for your expeditious response. It is unfortunate because I never met the Doctor. He is receiving this review due to his office staff, particularly Kathy/Kathleen. I was supposed to be a new patient. After being with the same gastroenterologist for 30 years, my doctor retired. I spent 2 days searching for his replacement. Everything I read about Dr. Morganstern was perfect. But too good to be true. I took off work an hour early. I drove 45 min. to the office with my records in hand. I gave all my information to the receptionist over the phone when I scheduled the appointment 3 weeks ago. Upon entering his East Setauket office, I was greeted by a rough/abrasive receptionist who was wearing a face mask. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, that she was under the weather. She asked me for my ID and insurance card. That's when it hit me, that I changed wallets and had forgotten the insurance card at home. I apologized several times. However, Kathy was angry and complained that she would have to do more work to verify my insurance. Again I gave apologies. After 30 seconds of her attempting to locate information, she decided to berate me with insults and condescension. Again, I apologized, but Kathy was in full nasty mode. When I finally told her that she doesn't have to speak to me as if I'm a child and or an idiot. And that Dr. Morganstern can thank her for losing a New Patient. I left almost in tears and shock. I jumped through hoops to make this appointment. I couldn’t get an appointment, spent twenty two minutes on the phone, either holding or being transferred. Don’t bother with August university, find someone else.

Dr. Morganstern is knowledgeable, polite, caring and overall an excellent doctor. The staff and nurses are friendly and professional. Appointments are easy to schedule and wait times are short. I would recommend Dr. Morganstern to anyone in need of a GI doctor.

My husband and I without any hesitation would highly recommend Dr. Morganstern. We appreciate his professionalism, great sense of humor, caring nature, and adore his loving personality that he gives to his patients. Dr. Morganstern's quality and integrity in treating our son speaks volumes and we extend a heartfelt thank you for the fantastic care of our son in performing his surgery. Dr. Morganstern and his staff are completely worth the extended drive for this quality care and treatment.
