My name is Nathaniel Merriott I’m 24 years old. Dr. Jelen performed a rare femoral acetabular and labral repair surgery on my hip in 2019. The surgery did not repair my injury, but rather complicated my injury and increased pain and instability in my right leg. Upon returning to Dr. Jelen in 2021 to address these adverse injuries, rather than diagnosing my new injury and trying to learn how to avoid similar situations with future patients…. Dr. Jelen denied me treatment and banned me from being seen by other ortho Indy doctors. Today, I am unable to walk without a cane, and have to use pain killers to sleep and work. Before my surgery I was unable to fully participate in physical activity without pain, and my injury did not influence my daily quality of life. Ortho Indy and Dr. Jelen continue to delete my Google reviews and not correspond with my new doctors. I’d recommend looking for treatment elsewhere, rather than potentially gaining life long injuries and then being denied treatment by Ortho Indy and Dr. Jelen. Dr. Jelen is an excellent doctor. He took the time to listen an to find the problem. He truly cares about how you are doing on every visit. I had the best care from Dr. Jelen and his staff. I would highly recommend going to Dr. Jelen.

Dr. Jaylen and his team are excellent they have a great bedside manner and treat you with the most respect. They are very understanding His nurse practitioner is excellent as well she has great bedside manner Listens to all your concerns and very generous. The two gentlemen that do your cast removal and applying they are very standing when it comes to your pain level. And very friendly, Dr. Jaylen did my surgery 20 years ago and I had a new injury to the same Area and he Remembered my break and circumstances. I recommend Him and his team 100% you won't be disappointed. Dr. Jaylen and his team are excellent they have a great bedside manner and treat you with the most respect. After experiencing some pretty severe hip pain on my left side I was referred to Dr. Jelen. Upon the very first visit he put me completely at ease and explained absolutely everything going on in my hip. Everything went smoothly every step of the way and he answered every single question. Surgery went incredibly well and I couldn't be more thankful to Dr. Jelen and his team! I'm no longer in pain and working back towards doing the things I love that I couldn't before surgery! My entire experience with OrthoIndy was outstanding . Staff was courteous, friendly and efficient. Dr. Jelen was very knowledgeable, good bed-side manner , listened to me and reassured me that they could fix the problem. I was very impressed start to finish.

Fantastic Doctor.. Found my problem when no one else could. not only did he find out my problem he fixed it. Won't go to no one else. Love him....

Wonderful doctor!! Kind, caring and very knowledgeable. Truly one of a kind. Dr. Jelen is able to fix the problem when no one else can. His staff is amazing as well. Would highly recommend

Dr. Jelen was very personable and very knowledgeable about my issues with my hip/pinched nerve. He listened to what I had to say and performed some examinations (after x-rays). He did not suggest surgery, shots or pain medications. He prescribed physical therapy. I thought this was wonderful.

Everyone so professional and kind! All were very helpful! Dr Jelen is excellent and always helps alleviate my problems! I always refer my family and friends!

Dr. Jelen is personable, detailed with a clear treatment plan. Both he and his staff were professional.

How can you say anything bad about this guy ? He’s nice , thorough and this is his specialty ! My hip is SO much better ! My pain is gone ! My only complaint is my pain wasn’t controlled well post op but he did approve a refill on my medication and would have given me something stronger if I would have asked. He’s awesome so let him do your surgery with confidence !!

He is such a great guy and explains everything so well. I haven’t had surgery yet but I feel very safe with him and his office is very helpful as well

Dr. Jelen is taking care of my son. I couldn't be happier. He is very knowledgeable and is very down to earth. Totally recommend Dr. Jelen for any of your ortho needs!!!

it was wonderful being treated by Dr Jelen. I would highly recommend Dr Jelen for any orthopedic issues. Not only was he wonderful with me my whole famly loved him too.

My experience visiting Dr. Jelen was excellent. He spent time talking through my history and my diagnosis. He showed me my imaging and talked me through why he was drawing certain conclusions. The time he took, care and attention was unprecedented compared to other doctors. He did not seem rushed at all. Also, he has great bedside manor. I could not have been more pleased with my visit to Dr. Jelen.
