Dr. Chesler has been my doctor for years. He's always patient and concerned with my progress. His staff is friendly and helpful. Best doctor in SD county!

Dr. Bradley Chesler has been my pain doctor for 8 years. He and his staff have always taken excellent care of me. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, and thoughtful. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for quality pain management. Thank you Dr. Chesler!

Been great doc and listener for many years

I have been a patient of Dr Chesler for 15 years, and without him, I know my quality of life would be horrific. I believe he is an extremely caring, compassionate Dr, who struggles with the restrictions the DEA puts on Pain Management Specialist, and fights for his patients in order to give them the quality of life they deserve. I am one of the fortunate ones who finally found a Dr who cares about his patients and not his bottom line.

This doctor is not patient driven. Do not go to him. He will reduce you without your permission and without medical reasoning. He is only worried about his license not the patient. Don’t walk, run away

I have been with Dr. Chesler for about 6 years. For the first 5 years I always saw his P.A.'s which were all wonderful. Just in the past year everything changed. He and his office staff have been treating me (as well as other patients) like we're all liars and/or drug seekers (I myself have been targeted as well as many other patients I talked to in the waiting room). He is obviously worried more about his license now than he is about his patients. He started weaning me down on my meds at an intensely RAPID rate to the point that I had to go to the e.r. 3x in one month because I thought I was going to have a heart attack. He doesn't care. He certainly doesn't answer any of my questions directly. Its been extremely frustrating and exhausting seeing him each month. His office staff are extremely rude and can be disrespectful at times. I've seen more and more patients either leaving or who knows?. I'm older than all these kids he has working for him and I'm not going to be treated like a 5 year old. I'm outa here. Staff is rude! Brenda just sits in her area and does not get up and help! Her customer service sucks! She is always in a hurry to get you off the phone! She’s good about always saying if you don’t hear back from me in 2 weeks call me! Who does that! Jasmine fall in the category of just a mess! She looks a mess and her work station is always messy! I was always taught that your first impression is your front area! If it weren’t for me loving to see Dr Chesler I wouldn’t be coming in! Dr. Bradley Chesler was seemingly interested in my case for several years but seems to be overcome by troubles lately which occupy our visits for the last year or thereabouts. My case seems to have taken a back seat. I don't know who is determining my medications. I have been treated like a dishonest or suspicious patient lately which is not a true picture of my character at all. I have been a pain patient for 18 years with not one blemish on my records but a member of his staff treated me HORRIBLY. And its happened more than once. Beware of the woman whos name begins with the letter "B". She can accuse you of lying, cheating. And hes made no attempt to disciple this staff person with knowledge of her behavior. I would suggest you try to find a doctor whos aware you are there and counting on acknowlegement AND COURTESY. We go to pain specialists because we are helpless in our bodies and begging for help and understanding not criticism. Dr Chessler is one of those Dr’s that you hope to find and rarely exist. My experience with him is nothing but positive. He truly cares about what I’m dealing with other than pain. He’s a humble Dr not an arrogant one which I’ve come across too often. Nonjudgmental and a great sense of humor. I look forward to my monthly appts! That’s says a lot! My wife and I (my wife is the patient) have been coming to Dr. Chesler for some time and I am always impressed at how friendly and helpful Dr. Chesler and the staff is. Jasmine at the front desk, to Doroty the medical assistant, Liz at check out, and of course Brenda that helps us with insurance communication. With all the pressure coming from the uneducated public about pain management it is nice to have a team like Dr. Chesler’s to help us fight for patient rights. I hope you guys know how much we appreciate all of your hard work and compassion for my wife. It means the world to us. I have been seeing Dr Chesler for 10 years or so. He is the only doctor that ever sat down and talked to me for an hour before anything else. He actually listens and he care so much about his patients. He is never in a rush and listens to what I have said every appointment. My other doctors do not even come close to that. They all have a 7 minute limit which does no good. He is by far the best doctor I have ever had. Unfortunately his hands are being tied because the government knows so much more about me and my health. His office staff are also very companionate and are always friendly and kind and do anything they can to help. There hasn’t been a time that they have not treated us like well. Brenda has been so helpful dealing with the insurance every month! I think I would have pulled my hair out if I was her but she always does it with a smile on her face. Knows his specialties. Is competent and personable. Knows what will and will not work. Tries to find meds that will work to cut down pain and use less or no opioids. Keeps up on research to find medicines for chronic pain that you do not have to be backed off of to quit. Only takes patients by referral.

I have been taking my wife to Dr. Chesler for over 6 years. He has always been compassionate and thoughtful. He and his staff go above and beyond to try to help navigate the complex medical system. We recently had to change insurance carriers and Brenda in the office spent a couple weeks and many hours helping my wife get her meds pre approved with the new carrier. We could not have done it without her. She is awesome!! Between her, the doctor, the billing office, and the office manager 10 stars

Dr Chesler is great. Easy to talk too and appears to know what he is talking about. His staff is awful. It took me months to get in. Then it took 4 weeks to get referral for injection sent in. Once they got approval it took 3 weeks to get an appointment. Dr was to do 3 injections and they only sent in approval for one. I think if you are on medication then I'm sure it is great. Make appt see Dr get prescription. I don't take meds and the injections are the only thing that helps. Because of the staff issues I have decided to find a new Dr. 3 weeks ago I went in and signed a release form. Called today and form was never sent to billing. Unbelievable Dr Chesler is great. I recently moved to San Diego County and was afraid to go to a pain management doctor as I thought he would not give me the pain relief I needed. I am pleasantly surprised at Dr. Bradley chessler. I saw him for the first time today and he was wonderful. He was a great listener and spent time with me and assured me that he would help me with my pain. I just want to highly recommend him for anyone who is in need of a pain management doctor. If it were AT ALL possible to give more then 5 stars to Dr. Chesler BELIEVE ME I would!! I have been seeing him for close to 13 years (give out take 1-2yrs). My insurance at the time of my BOTCHED surgery (done by a private Dr), meant I had to go to The UCSD Pain Clinic.Dr Berger was my primary care Pain Doctor there,although you never knew who you were going to see, they had at least a dozen "Pain Doctors there, OR, you saw a LPN, or nurse...They had so many patients there, they saw more than half of them in a conference room (if they old find one), or you were seen in the waiting area, along with 30-40 other patients sitting around tables, or sofas...NO PRIVACY WHATSOEVER!!!!!! I did EVERYTHING They told me to do, Rx's, Therapy, NUMEROUS Surgeries!! I was treated as a Guinea Pig! They would change my Rx's everytime I went in, (which was every 2 weeks), Even if they were working REALLY well for me???? I RAN to Dr Chesler when another anesthesiologist recommended him to me. He was THE MOST kindest, empathetic, sympathetic, understanding Doctor I have ever met! (I should know I'm a nurse myself)!⛑☤ I recommend him to ANYONE who needs this kind of care (A RARE FIND INDEED)!! I've continued to see him all these years, even though I can't afford PPO insurance, so although I have to pay entirely out of pocket....I'll continue to do so, because I CAN'T lose him!!!! I don't know what I'd do if he (God Forbid), retired etc, because of Obama Care they changed my insurance, and if I leave him, I'll have to go back to UCSD, I don't have any other options being totally disabled! ???????????????? Dr. Chesler is by far the best doctor I’ve ever been in contact with, he is truly kind and empathetic towards whatever your condition may be. I appreciate all his help and understanding, I’ve been seeing him for about 6 Year’s now and has helped me come out the other side of a severe back injury with minimal pain and very little medication needed I would recommend anyone who has chronic pain or a long lasting injury to see him and I know he will do whatever is possible to help you Dr. Chesler is by far the best doctor I’ve ever been in contact with, he is truly kind and empathetic towards whatever your condition may be. I have been with Dr Chesler for years, I've never been better treated by the whole office.

Doctor has a fake bed side manner and does not actually care for his patients. He states he "will not diagnose" he pretends to care but ultimately has proven to profile his patients and does not care about his patients well being over his own. He is everything you hope to not experience in a doctor. He abuses his power of being a doctor and degrades patients and what they are going through.

Dr. Chesler saved my life. Due to my health problems, I have visited dozens of doctors over the last 20 years. Only one was truly sympathetic to my pain and was willing to go above and beyond routine care. If only all doctors were as kind, knowledgeable and open-minded as Dr. Chesler.

He is a very good doctor, he tells you like it is, I went into his office very full. My wife and I we had to wait a little bit but we'll well worth it. He is a very busy Doctor never stops. He helped me out like no other Doctor has done before. He's number one in my book.

Everything was fine until a week ago, in my last appointment, we decided to reduce one of my pain meds to half of the dose I was taking, with the contingent that I could call in and make an other visit, to restore the dosage if it seemed like the lower dosage wasn't working. Well I called in last week and tried to do just that, after a week I received a call that the Dr. wouldn't see me until my regular appointment. So, next week I will have to work in pain, because he forgot, what he told me.

I have been seeing doctors all my life. Born with brain didorder, very qualified to rate a doctors due to experiences :) I hate going to the Doctors. But I love seeing the whole office staff. After awhile they feel like family. May sound over the top, but its true. They really ? care.

Dr. Chesler is amazing. One of the best I have used. He generally cares and takes the time to listen to you and explain everything. He is a rare commodity in the pain community.I will not rate the experience higher though. It is not because of the medical treatment, but the neglect that the office staff shows. I was put off for months after surgery because they misunderstood a referral. The phone system is horrible and always goes to a message that will hang up on you and they do not call back.

Dr. Chesler is one of the most down to Earth, "real" doctors I have ever been treated by He is open to new ideas and treatments that may be considered different or unorthodox by western medicine. It is because of his open mind, I received better treatment and most importantly, I received a proper and complete diagnosis of my injury when MRI, Bone Scans, and opinions from several other doctors, told me there was nothing wrong. In my opinion, Dr. Chesler is much more than just a pain management therapist and I am grateful for all he has done for me.
