TERRIBLE!

My son had an appointment at 2pm. Come 3:30 he was still not called. Waiting room was packed people canceling their appointments and walking out due to the dreadful wait and the receptionist was extremely rude to everyone. Even argued with a patient on if he took her pen or not. They should start scheduling less patients instead of packing everyone on one day

I was referred to Dr Simon by my eye surgeon to save my eyesight. Dr. Simon made more than one urgent decision on my behalf. Monitored medications correctly. Dr Simon cares about his patients. His expertise and care are exemplary. I drive from Jensen Beach to Jupiter. Worth the drive. If the wait is a little long.. I read. Worth the wait!! Nancy Kleiner

Dr. Simons is a good doctor but the regular wait times of 2 to 3 hours per visit are a disrespect to his patients.

Only two starts because the actual Dr is pretty friendly but the rest of the visit was a horror. I waited an hour and a half to be seen when I had an appointment set up already. I had to stand at the desk to fill out paperwork because my son doesn't like to sit still and I overheard one of the women working at the desk say she'd be nicer to patients if they brought her cafecito..... I'm a new patient of Dr. BRAD SIMON'S and I was really surprised at the crowded waiting room. Then I started to wonder, was he the only eye specialist in the area. Apparently not, so he just must be that good. So many children being treated. The staff was wonderful and caring and the Dr. took the time to answer all questions. You mayy have a wait, so bring a book you've been wanting to read and never have the time. Spent the time reading and talking with your kids. You may want to bring a snack lol. I would HIGHLY suggest you DO NOT use "Dr" Simons. He botched my grand-daughter's surgery so badly that we had to have another surgeon repair what he had done. The fact that he overbooks and has dozens of people waiting outside for hours is the LEAST of your worries with this so called "doctor".

Dr. Simons is truly an exemplary physician. His knowledge,compassion and humanity for servicing those in need is truly remarkable. His patience, respect and humility make him unique amongst most physicians.

I've been taking my daughter to Dr. Simons for about 3 years. Honestly I have no idea why we keep coming here. The wait is always literally hours long which is ridiculous for a toddler to wait. Woman answering the phone is extremely unprofessional and uninterested. Not good to make a patient feel unwelcome before the appointment is even made.

Very rude staff over the telephone. Sounded like I was ruining her day scheduling an appointment.

After reading these reviews, I thought I’d leave a referral for anyone wanting another option. If you’re looking for a great pediatric ophthalmologist, please consider Dr. Nehemiah Spencer in Stuart! He and his staff are simply amazing!

Be prepared to wait 4 to 5 hours! Nope I am not kidding and all the reviews you read are not exaggerated they are truthful about the waiting time. I am sitting here hearing ppl say their appt was at 10:00am and it is now 2:20pm and they are still waiting. Unprofessional. 3pm appointment with 3 kids, 1 being a baby. It's now 6pm and still waiting. Told they don't know when we will go in the back and we could be here until 8-10pm. Like WTH. We paid for these glasses a month ago, why are we being forced to wait to pick up glasses? Sounds like a way for them to bill insurance for another office visit Ridiculous. Not good place. 3 hr wait. Its teribble. No body have this type of time to waste though have an appointment.

So fed up with them. Low quality customer service, messages are not passed on, makes me loose more than half a day in 1 appointment. They over book. Always a +3 hr ordeal plus travel time. You'll only get a few minutes of Dr time.

I didn’t make it past the front door!!! The young girl working the front desk at the Jupiter location needs to be fired immediately! Not only was she inappropriately dressed but she had the nerve to ask is my son special needs!!!! What does being special needs have to do with appointment scheduling? Then as I’m trying to push his stroller in the door she’s asking me to confirm PHI regarding my child as I’m 8-10 feet away and halfway in the hallway. TERRIBLE! I brought my mom to her appointment which was scheduled at 10:15am. After waiting an hour I decided to ask how much longer the wait would be... I was told another hour! I asked if type of long wait, (over an hour) and still an hour to go, was normal. She advised me that this is the STANDARD wait time to see the Dr. even when you have a scheduled appointment as we did. Poor poor office operations. As well as dirty & rude staff.

They took 0 COVID precautions- there were about 30-40 people in the small waiting room at all times. They quadruple book their appointments, so if your appointment is at 1pm, don’t expect to see the dr until almost 3. It is a money factory in there and they have 0 bed side manned or patient rapport. The dr gives you 2 minutes of his time and didn’t even review the tests he ordered, resulting in me needing to find another dr who figured out my problem after taking time to look at the images ordered. Dr Simons referred me out and then had the audacity to ask me to book a follow up appointment so he could collect money from my insurance and “find out what the other dr discovered”. Disgusting. I will never recommend or go back. The facility is filthy.

I was assigned Dr. Simon by my childs insurance. I wish I had been prepared. Our first initial visit was a total of 2 and a half hours. One hr of just waiting. The staff (lady with a russian accent) is not friendly or at all sympathetic to a scared child. The doctor is okay. Overall, it's been the same in the pass 2 yrs we have been going. Crowded, waiting room and unfriendly staff. During Covid-19 our appt was canceled. Then I was sent a message stating that Dr. Simon can do a virtual meeting if we preferred. It wasn't in my list to do at the moment. I received a txt stating we had an appt. When I called to explain I couldn't go because I was jobless. Bibi was like at so cancel? Yes. DO NOT make an appointment here unless your prepared to wait atleast 3 hours to just get in the back for the first time. One would think that because of the wait you would have plenty of time with the doctor. WRONG!! The doctor spends maybe a minute with you. It's all about the money here.

Dr. Simon is a great eye doctor, especially for children. But...be prepared to wait a long time at each appointment. If the staff is not friendly it is because they are probably under pressure from all the waiting customers wanting to know what is taking so long. Not sure if he over books his patients, or it's because he takes his time with each patient, but each time we go it is at least a 3 hour visit. He is one of two pediatric Ophthalmologists in the area. I take my daughter to him but I would never book an appointment for myself because of the wait time. Horrible! Office was overcrowded and filthy. Staff was surly and rude. Wait times 3+ hours. Walked out never to return. And.... they still try to make you pay over $400 with insurance (obviously they don’t understand). Run, run away!

Disgusting! The address is wrong on the website (and shouldn’t they have mentioned when confirming) and the office is crowded and dirty like Port Authority. The office staff is gross - rude, impatient, incompetent. We left without seeing the doctor after being told we need to pay $441 to see the doctor. For an eye exam? Are you lining my eyes with gold? What a crook! Later!!!

I've been seeing this provider for almost 3 years for my son. EVERY time I go to the office it's a complete nightmare. They book appointments for a time prior to the provider even being in the office. They double or triple book time slots. The office is so crowded all the time you're often left with nowhere to sit or sitting on the floor. If you're LUCKY, you'll see the doctor for 5 minutes. Be prepared to be there for a minimum of 3 hours.

I left work early and took my child out of school early bcs. they do not have appts. after work/schl hrs. I arrived for a 3:20 appt. I completed all paperwork and it was 4:00. The secretary informed me that I had a bill from 5 yrs ago (very low) but unexpected, that must be paid with high copay to be seen. I rcvd two calls about the appt. However, noone informed me of this bill. They turned my child in need away due to a minor bill. Hwvr, they chose to see all medicaid pts. Nvmd. if I hv ins.

Dr. Simons is an amazing opthomoligist. Although you will wait a long time to be seen, Dr. Simons is well worth the wait. He takes a lot of time with each patient, is very thorough, and is the only pediatric and neuroopthomogist in the area. Additionally if you call with an eye problem, Dr. Simon will see you the same day you call. His staff is well organized and vet accommodating.

Dr Simons is an extremely kind, funny, and intelligent doctor who SPECIALIZES in eye and vision care. He is not an optometrist solely checking a patient's vision. He is also checking for the overall health of their eye muscles and such, so that does require testing, which may make the appt last longer, and that message is relayed upon making the appt. If you have any issue, they will squeeze you in. It is also a very clean office. But I suppose you can't please everyone right?

Staff was very patient and kind. My son is one of those kids who cant bare the site of a doctor's office. They we're very kind. Dr.Simons was very great with my son he didn't even wine with him. Great technique to grasp young children's attention! Great job! Only one negative the time length you'll spend there 2-3hrs

The only reason why they got a 2 is because the staff is friendly. I went there with my 5 month old because his pupils are different sizes. Our appointment was at 10am. We were not seen by the doctor until 115. 3 hours of waiting rooms, drops in my babies eyes, waking him up to shine a light in his eyes 3 times just to be told its normal and hes fine .There's absolutely NO reason an eye Dr should be as long (or longer) as an ER visit. On top of it - this obviously wasn't a backed up office day talked to multiple existing patients and they ALL said its like this EVERY time. Did a procedure with other people in the room watching. Didn’t tell me before he did it. Gave me a wrong prescription that could of harmed my eyes. Assistant coughed in her hands then used her fingers to wipe off something I was to cover one eye with. And wait times are ridiculously long

No.. Be a wise consumer, ask questions

This is the worst service I have ever seen. 3 visita in a row and the wait is 3 hours. They do not consider patient time. Just wait in he room ( they say) and they just leave you there. I can not believe we are treated like this. Driving almost an hour to get there and this is what we get.

Worst experience ever at a doctors iffice, or with a doc. Rude staff, inaccurate charts, focused on money making but not health of people visiting. Do not go to this doc! Save yourself time and headaches.

HORRIBLE besides the wait, the staff is terrible. Upon arriving and being told I would wait at least 3 hours for my infant to be seen, I advised them I would have to reschedule. A month later they charged my insurance over 500.00 for absolutely nothing. My son never went past the waiting room! when I called the office they treated me like I was a crazy lady and told me my son seen a tech which he did not. I tried numerous times to resolve the issue and got nowhere. This place is a joke!

The waiting room is always full, you can wait for hours to have a 5 minute consultation. This is not a one time occurrence either, it has happened with every single appointment. The Doctor, when you finally see him, seems rushed and ready to see the next patient. Get another doctor if you can.

The worst wait time ever! How does a patient have a 10:50am appointment and still be waiting in the waiting room at 12:30pm. Ridiculous service. Lousy staff. Worst appointment setting I've experienced. How do people who've arrived after us get called back? Funny how all of those people were hispanic. Guess I'm the wrong ethnicity.

Dr. Simons is such a great Doctor, I am so glad we were referred to him for my daughter. He saved us from a huge surgery and did a great job on her eye. I would highly recommend him.

Bring a good book. You will have quite a wait but Dr Simons gives you 100% of his attention and caring when he enters the room. He brought some of the staff into my exam and taught while he examined my injured eye. That gave me more information as well. I felt I was in the best hands from the very first exam.

3 three hour wait dirty waiting room. Staff was very inexperienced with children. We saw three different technicians and all three had a different reading. We saw the doctor for all of about three minutes. We got a second opinion and prescription was different then received at this office.

First of all the wait is 3 hours in a not so clean waiting room. Patients come in after you and because they are existing patients they are ushered right in. We waited 3 hours the Dr didn't even exam my daughter he has his staff do all the work. After waiting to see the Dr he came into the room did not even wash his hands I guess that doesn't matter because he didn't exam my child shone a flashlight in her eyes and said she's fine but still need a follow up I think she has allergies.

Brought my daughter in to see him for eye muscle surgery consult. Dr. Simons was very caring and was able to calm my nerves about the surgery. Would highly recommend him!

Dr. Simons has no respect for a patient's time. He treats patients like they have nothing but a full day to spend in his office. He has staff do one procedure and places the patient back in the waiting area over and over. There is no coordination whatsoever. Staff is very nice but they treat this waiting as totally normal. I've been there three times before I realized enough is enough. I do not have 3-4 hours to spend most of the time sitting and waiting for an available room.

The wait time is over 3 hours and the technician doesn't know what she is doing. After waiting for so long they didn't even got my kids prescription right. I will not be returning.

the wait is so long to see the doctor. plus people come in after us and they get to be seen before us and that's not fair at all when we have been wait for about one hour in half close to two hours with three children. the doctor is great but the wait time is one of the worse things the office has.

He made me feel very comfortable. Has a nice personality and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Simons is a very good clinician. His office has a problem with time management & scheduling. Of the 5 scheduled appts. I have had, I had to wait 2 1/2/ hours to 3 hours each time which is not acceptable. He either needs to schedule less patients in time slots or schedule non-Medicaid appts. on different dates than the medicaid or have someone do a time study and see what is bogging the system down.

Arrived for the appointment at 2:30. Was not checked in until an hour later. The appoint was not complete until minutes before 6pm. The lady who checked us in was rude and the office manager ran out before we could complain. Dr. Simons is amazing. But the appointment time of having everyone come in at the same time needs to stop. They have be doing this for yrs.

I was very excited when I made my appointment. The office staff (Melissa) was amazing. She was courteous and extremely helpful. Upon arrival at the office it was cramped, dated, and dirty. I waited over an hour (past my appointment time) to be seen. Doing this with an active 1 year old is next to impossible. There is nothing for children to do while waiting and no room for them to be entertained even by parents. Dr. Simons gave us all of 2 min and told us to return in a week. No chance of that!

Dr. Simons has a very busy practice. I cannot complain about the long wait when I see all the little children who are also waiting to be tested and seen. Most people waiting are friendly and sometimes we engage in interesting conversations.

He is the best eye doctor we have ever had. His diagnostic abilities and his insight into our vision problems are outstanding.

The receptionist behind that glass window is the most rude contradicting liar EVER. The billing manager called for my appointment I had scheduled to let me know I will be paying this amount. The receptionist tells me different and says the billing manager told me I still owe this amount from last visit plus the amount for the scheduled visit, which was a huge argument, I had the voicemail proof.

Dr. Simons is very cheerful and skilled, he immediately takes care of our needs and addresses any problems. He has a very good staff and there is a wait, but well worth it. Seeing all age groups takes patience on everyone's behalf and being one of the few Medicaid providers in the area it can be frustrating. My complaint is only with the patients who have bad attitudes. I am thankful for the excellent care.

I would not recommend going to this office. The receptionist is rude and I would not wish a 2 hour wait on anyone! The staff in back is friendly and helpful, I like the Dr however my time is valuable and not worth the wait. I have to drive from Port Saint Lucie and drive back, I really dont want to spend my whole afternoon at a Dr.'s office.

Was very impressed with Dr Simons. The only reason the office waiting area appeared busy at times was because some patients choose to bring every family member along to their appointment for one child ! The staff I found helpful and polite. The wait time was a little longer than I would of liked but still not unreasonable. We were back for 4 different appointments. Office staff was terrible. Waited for over 2 hours!!!

i have been a patient of Dr Simons for many years. I think he and his staff are very attentive, thorough and friendly. My main objective is the wait time and the overcrowded waiting rooms. I hope that the expansion will help that situation.

I find that the office lacks warmth from the staff...They are Just Doing Their Job I am not too sure if this reflects Dr. Simons or his older office manager who excels in negativity. The Doctor is well known and knowledgeable in his field. .I find a distance with the staff..Example: In March upon check out I was given some eye patches..as I checked out in April I said Oh I need more eye patches .Abruptly and unkindly I was told you can buy them in any pharmacy..I did not expect them.

Dr Simons is very kind and takes time with you. He found a problem that I was not ever told I had. No other Dr had ever found it. Thank you Dr Simons.

Was referred to Dr Simons for my sons eye turn in. The entire visit was 3.5 hours long with the Dr only being 5 mins of it. I understand that the techs can gather information and the Dr can read it. But when Dr Simons walked into the room he had no idea my sons name. He had to search through the paperwork. Also he never even looked into my sons eye and said he needed surgery. Said come back in a week to see how's he's doing. Then walked out did' even say what was wrong with my son.

too long of a wait with appointment

The routine semi-annual exams are taking over 2.5 hours to complete. Yesterday, I arrived at the office 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment. The large waiting room was standing room only. I was not called in for examination until over 1 hour AFTER my scheduled appointment time. I was then placed into a waiting room twice again and it was more than 2-1/2 hours after my scheduled appointment time, before my routine exam was completed and I left the office. This is a typical visit.
