The surgery I had with Dr. Keojampa has changed my life. Pre-FFS, I was only gendered correctly on occasion, despite my 2 years of HRT. Post-surgery, I am almost always gendered correctly, despite my voice not being “perfect.” This change has greatly impacted my mental health! For people who are looking to use insurance (I did my surgery through Starbucks and they paid for everything except my deductible and travel costs), his office is great with billing, which seems uncommon in the world of plastics! I did a lot of research before choosing Dr. Keojampa. What determined my decision was the careful documentation of his procedures on his website and facebook page. His Type 3 Feminizing Forehead Cranioplasty and Chin Reductions are unbelievable. I personally think he is the best option in the US for FFS and probably the second best option in the world; Dr. Bart Van De Ven in the Netherlands being the best in the world, though, this is just my opinion from my comparison of pictures. The consultation process with Dr. Keojampa is careful and thorough, as he balances his recommendations with the patient’s desires. After the consult, Dr. Keojampa demonstrates attention to detail in his short, professional conversations, outlining the ways in which he will keep the patient safe during the procedure by avoiding various nerves and potential problems. He is qualified as a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and has a background in Otorhinolaryngology, which makes him very experienced with the structure of the head and face. Dr. Keojampa was also fair with my revision request. Somehow, one of my cheek implants moved. He fixed this at no charge and without billing insurance. It was a quick procedure—less than 1 hour—with local anesthetic, quick recovery, and less than four days of swelling. The only regret I have in my entire FFS process was that I was probably not eating well enough before and after my initial FFS surgery, since I was trying a low carb/ketogenic diet as an experiment in an attempt to help my autoimmune issues. Looking back on it, I personally believe this diet was not great for my body’s recovery. This is not to say that I’m not happy with my results, because I am! Dr. Keojampa is wonderful. I had an amazing experience from start to finish and I couldn't recommend him highly enough.

I have had my facial feminization surgery with Dr. Keojampa 08/09/2018 I'm 2 months post op now and I really love my results. I am very very dysphoric about my browbone and high hairline but not anymore. He did an amazing job obliterating it. My friends and family love how my face looks. Scars are invisible. [UPDATED] The doctor is great: very patient and professional, gives you all the information and time you need. My wife had a surgical procedure on her throat, which went great and resolved the issue a few other ENTs failed to even diagnose. That said, billing just does not work well. First, it literally took me dozens of hours on the phone to get some insight into how much they are going to bill me for the aforementioned procedure. Then they overcharged me $2000 in advance and when I noticed and called, they promised to refund the money, but it took half a year of calls (to them and my insurance) to actually get it back and I was very close to filing complaints with overseeing bureaus. Despite the response below, the rating represents overall experience (not just the doctor) and given through how much hell we had to go through with the billing department, it would be a lie to say that the overall experience deserves 5 stars. I went to see Dr. Kyle Keojampa because I was experiencing pain in my ear after flying. He had me watch a video explaining some concepts about the ear pertaining to my problem and then he returned to the room and specifically explained my issues and possible resolutions; he used a model of the ear to explain things to me which I found helpful. Dr. Keojampa also carefully vacuumed wax out of my ear. I thought he had a good bedside manner. I'm a world class terrible patient. I'm very cautious and ask a lot of questions. Dr. Keojampa handled me with great patients and true caring. He explained ever test he did and showed me the outcome. With other ENT's I felt I was being lectured to. I highly recommend Dr. Keojampa. .
