Dr. Monheit has increased my faith in Austin physicians. She is very informative, takes time to answer questions, and has given me an excellent result from my recent surgery. This has been the first time I have been Dr. Monheit. My regular ophthalmologist was out for surgery. I am impressed.

Superb professional treatment; ten years of caring treatment.

Dr. Monheit has been my doctor for the last three years. She is a professionals professional. Recently she recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes and implanted bi-focal lens. I threw away at least ten pair of reading glasses and see vibrant colors I wasn't seeing. I have referred her to others.

Dr. Monheit may be a terrific specialist in the "practice" of medicine. But she is not a people person especially to seniors. Cannot get past her arrogant, rude and dismissive demeanor towards myself and my 80+ year old mother. She spent less than five minutes, became impatient and indifferent when I asked her to repeat her treatment plan again to my mother and disengaged by looking down at the paperwork while talking "at" us. Then she was up and out of the examination room stating "Follow me". The best part of the visit was the time spent before seeing the doctor. A little bit of wait for most appointments, but the staff are friendly, helpful, efficient, attentive. Dr. Monheit, listens, cares, and takes care of business in what seems to be a logical manner for glaucoma issues.

I have seen her for years for routine eye exams. She makes me feel comfortable with the exam and answers my questions. She is personable, professional, and down to earth. I would highly recommend her.

I was diagnosed with glaucoma at the age of 50 and have been under Dr. Monheit’s care for over 10 years. I’ve had a number of eye issues and find comfort and assurance that she is my doctor. Dr. Monheit is not only an experienced physician, she also takes the time and interest to explain and answer questions. I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is the best.

Routine follow-up visit. Brief as planned, though thorough. Excellent care during the past 5+ years. A longer wait than normal this day, but seldom much of a wait. Friendly staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Monheit, and have done so.

Without hesitation I would recommend her. I was in crisis with a congenital form of open-angle glaucoma. Although I had the benefit of thick corneas, my pressure went out of control on different occasions to 65. Yes, 65. I had the "standard" operations with other doctors, and numerous medications. Those were frightening years. Into this crisis came Dr. Monheit. In short, she made a hole in each eye and my vision loss was halted. Now several years later, my pressure numbers are still holding at 15 each eye. She is excellent--I don't know if many other specialists have yet mastered that procedure, but she shrugs off compliments--what higher one can you pay than she saved my eyesight?

Excellent, she brought down the pressure in my eyes quickly and easily.

Dr Monheit is an excellent doctor for glaucoma! She is straight and to the point with my treatment and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I haven’t had any problems at Texan EyeCare and I highly recommend them.

If you're unfortunate enough to have glaucoma, then consider yourself fortunate indeed if you cross paths with Dr. Monheit ... she's smart and skillful ... she really knows what's going on regarding your malady. She'll be straight and to the point, which is what you need treating glaucoma ... it's an ongoing dance ... and she's the dance partner you're looking for. I love her! She listens to what I have to say and answers my questions. It is a bit rushed when I see her but they have a lot of folks to see! The staff is great too.

Dr blythe monheit was too arrogant, wont listen to you. Just trying to make appointments for herself. Did not complete tests on the first visit, wanted me to come back. Did not even want to take blood pressure which was important! Rude in her behaviour. Not recommended.
