Blake P Melling

This is an update to my Oct 21, 2020, review of Dr. Melling. After reading my former post, Melling, issued a DNT, (do not treat), order to other Healthstar physicians in retaliation for my critical review. I found this out when I went to the walk in Healthstar clinic at 420 Morris Blvd in Morristown TN and was told I could not be treated for a broken bone in my foot due to Melling retaliation. I guess this is how Dr. Melling stops his bad reviews. Is this the actions of a doctor with Healthstar you would really want for your primary care physician? Beware of Melling!

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Melling for 16 years. He is very compassionate, and really listens to you. He also has a wonderful staff.

I'm giving a review to help others who like me read reviews to make decisions where to go. Dr. Blake Melling has been my husband 's primary physician for the last 5 years. He's been my primary physician since January of 2021. Every time I've needed his care I've always been seen and treated very well. Never was rushed, and Dr Melling always allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed. Both my husband and myself feel Dr Melling is knowledgeable and professional. Avoid DR. Melling! He lied about my urine sample claiming it had alcohol and a sleeping medication in it. I don’t drink and did not use any sleeping medication. I think he through me to the wind because he was afraid of the DEA! How can you trust a doctor who lies just to keep the government happy!

Dr Blake Melling cares nothing about his patients. He only cares about his staff. His nurse Ruth has lied to him on more then one occasion. Stating false facts. He has went as far as telling patients that they are the ones lying not his nurse. The other nurses and his front desk staff are very nice. His quality of care consist of him sitting on his computer the whole time typing while the patient is sitting there trying to explain stuff. His nurse calls in the wrong prescriptions on a regular basis. She has no clue on how to read a chart. The pharmacy and the patients have to call repeatedly because they do not return phone calls like they say they will. Patients go without Insulin and required meds to survive. The nurse has trouble spelling the meds and calls in the wrong thing even though the patient leaves them the correct spelling. I would not choose this facility they are incompetent of patient care. Dr B Melling is a incompetent Dr that cares nothing about his patients. He sits and types on the computer the whole time during the patients visit. He chooses to believe his staff members over his patients. His nurse Ruth is as incompetent as they come. She often calls in wrong prescriptions even after being told how to spell it as well as how to say it. She never returns her voicemails. The pharmacy request medications and when she decides to do it then she does. Most of the time it is wrong. She lies on the patients on a regular basis Saying she will return calls when she never does. Then when she is questioned about it she will say that it went to voicemail. This office does have a wonderful front desk clerk and has a few very good nurses. As the old saying goes "one bad apple spoils the bunch." I would not recommend this clinic and if you do decide to go here please choose someone other then Dr. Blake Melling. Unless you wish for your integrity to be challenged.

I met with Dr. Melling for the first time last week and I haven't been able to stop talking about him since! He's the first doctor in the past 14 years that actually took his time with me, listened and was encouraging. He's a very kind and caring doctor and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a change.

I have been seeing Dr. Melling for as long as he has been in Morristown. Can't imagine seeing another doctor. He always has time to discuss every thing so I understand it.
