I stumbled across Dr.Motesharrei’s office after being told by Hopkins MFM department they wouldn’t see me until I was 9 weeks and also declined my request for bloodwork 3 times. This was my fourth pregnancy, the first 2 were miscarriages and my third was a live birth of a baby with a neural tube defect. Dr. Motesharrei saw me right away, and also discovered I have a gene mutation that put me at a high risk for having another child with a neural tube defect. I do believe her early intervention is the reason I gave birth to a beautiful and very healthy baby boy. She has an excellent bedside manner, addressed and validated all of my concerns and was very accessible anytime I needed her. Because she is the only doctor in the practice I never had to worry about being tossed around from physician to physician and she was the one that delivered my baby. That aspect of our relationship was very important to me after multiple losses and a traumatic first birth. I don’t plan on having more children but if I ever do I wouldn’t want to be in anyone else’s care!

I was very impressed with Doctor Bita, she took the time to listen to me and gave me options, a lot of doctors nowadays don't do that. I highly recommend her especially if you are struggling with Endometriosis. She is amazing!

It was excellent experience visiting Dr. Motesharrei's office. It was kind of an emergency situation, but doctor and the office arranged it for me last minute and it went great! Staff were all professional and friendly, very kind to me as I was in a lot of pain. Dr. M was very knowledgeable and explained to me about my situation thoroughly and she also did a great job handling my situation.(Although I panicked and screamed during the procedure.) Very professional and very friendly. The place is very beautiful decorated and always clean. Dr Bita Montesharrei is my gynecologist for a lot of years and now my daughter is going to her office. She listens to you!! That is so important to me and my daughter!!! She takes time to explain you everything. You feel so save and comfortable with her and the team. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bita and her office staff. Her office is lovely, I was seen at my appointment time, the doctor spent almost an hour with me. I do wish she took Medicare and I have to say I had sticker shock from the final bill which charged me for a separate exam for a problem from a new patient wellness visit. If you have insurance, it shouldn't be an issue. I am very happy with my new GYN. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bita and her office staff. Have never felt more cared for at a Dr’s office . I felt heard, important and best of all safe! Haven’t had the best experience in the past with doctors but Dr. Motesharrei and her staff were so kind and attentive. From the front desk to the nurses, over all just great! I left my visit feeling reassured, knowledgeable and at ease. Not to mention the office was very clean, well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. Truly recommend! Made an online appointment and called one hour in advance and confirmed the time of our appointment. We got there 20 minutes before the appointment time. Then waited about 45 minutes after the appointment time, over an hour total. Then someone else walked in and they got her in just 5 minutes after her arrival. When I asked them whats going on, they said her appointment was 15 minutes before me. I told them I don’t believe that but even if that was the case she was an hour late for her appointment so we should of gone in first and she had to wait. They just said there is nothing we can do because we are behind today. I told them if that was the case you should of told me when I called one hour before my appointment to confirm the time. They had no response, I felt so disrespected and wasted my time and left their office and will not go there anymore. I do not recommend them. I went to women’s global health coz Sibley hospital recommended it for my OB follow up check up. The front desk are polite and the assistant is very friendly and accommodating. Doctor Motesharrei is very gentle to me and very soft spoken. The visit is absolutely wonderful

She made me live most painful medical experience of my life. She could not diagnose my ovarian cyst which is bigger than 8cm for 3 three months although I told her multiple times I had endometriosis in the past and I am having a lot of pain. Right after one radiologist diagnosed it, I found myself in an emergency room with an incredible pain. The doctors in Inova hospital took me to the surgery immediately. My cyst was raptured and it was bleeding. My entire pelvic area was like a blood pool. They told me it was such a dangerous situation and I was lucky as they did my surgery before being too late... After having all these unfortunate events, Dr. Motesharrei refused to make an appointment with me for a post operation visit! She was in such a neglect and ignorance... Ohh, I do not think I need to say more here... That would suffice for ones who look for some information about her... Very very disappointing... Polite and friendly. No follow through though. Rooms are old and dark, needs some cleaning. Reception is fine. She is expensive and charges not clear upfront. For the price one pays, this doctor needs to make sure that patient calls are returned and that there’s follow ups with the medical insurance companies as needed.

Very polite and professional staff. Despite ongoing construction in the building, the staff was very apologetic and did their best to request the construction be minimized during patient visits.

Once you meet with Dr. M, you won't go anywhere else. Not only is she an amazing doctor, but a beautiful human being. I have never had a doctor that is so thorough and takes all the time in the world for me. Her staff is so kind, you get test results immediately and there is never a wait. Incredible experience all around.

Dr. Bita is always so helpful and caring. Her office is a little further than I would usually trek for a medical professional but the level of care and experience that her and her staff have is worth it. Will continue seeing her as my doctor for a long time.

Dr. Motesharrei and her staff (including the front desk) are polished, efficient and competent. They treat you like people and not robots like I typically experience at many medical offices. She does not participate with insurance but her office files the claims for you. The fact that she does not take insurance, in my opinion, is one of the reasons why you get top notch service.She is also very thorough and you can even get your blood work done on the spot! Dr Moteshaarei is my first OBGYN in awhile. She immediately made me feel comfortable despite my bad former OBGYN experience elsewhere and current life struggles that makes it difficult for me to get medical help. Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor: 1. The cups and lids to collect urine samples are one time use coffee cups/lids from a cafe. I am pretty sure that is illegal and against health department standards and OSHA. They should be using sterile plastic urine specimen cups. I was shocked when that is what they presented to me when collecting a urine sample. 2. The Dr. is not knowledgeable at all, she throws out complete nonsense that is not factual. I would have to check with the CDC website after each appointment I had (total of 3) and almost everything she told me was incorrect. 3. She performed tests that were unnecessary and could have caused me great issues when getting pregnant. Maybe it is because she is money hungry? Not only that, as she was performing the test on me, she asked me mid test if I was pregnant, which would have been too late! She then corrected herself, saying we got a urine sample test today just to be sure you aren't; again TOO LATE. How can you take a pregnancy test before the procedure on the same day and not wait for the results before the procedure? Lastly, during the procedure, with iodine already used, she asked if I was allergic to iodine, again, TOO LATE. 4. Due to her lack of knowledge and misdiagnosis she caused me so much stress, depression and emotional distress. I got a second and third opinion, both doctors after her, said she was completely out of line in the tests she ran and in the conclusions she came up with and not to mention the false information she was feeding me. 5. She is also very opinionated, she makes her opinions known and its completely out of line. She is arrogant, full of misinformation (spreading myths) and has NO IDEA what she is speaking of. 6. UPDATE: They are so unprofessional and childish. Because of my 1 star review they refuse to talk to me and hang up on me. I called because I need to understand why my insurance hasn't received the claims in over 2 months. I spent over $850 at this practice in just 2 weeks and now they are ignoring me. Extremely unprofessional and poor taste.

She is a caring doctor, does not rush you and listens patiently. I also liked all her staff and walked happily out of her office. I would only say they might not accept all insurance types. Check with them first.
