Dr. Freij was absolutely wonderful in taking care of our 2-week old daughter who had an infection caused by MRSA. She had been hospitalized and he gave us his card and reassured us to call any time if we had any concerns after being discharged. We ended up emailing him with pictures of our daughters infection site a few days later because we were worried about how it looked and wanted his opinion. He called us back within 30 minutes and he saw our daughter at the office within an hour of us contacting him! Our daughter’s infection is now completely healed and we are so grateful to Dr. Freij. He truly cares about his patients and is so reassuring to the worried and scared parents. We highly recommend Dr. Freij as he is an excellent doctor! In 1994, my two year old son developed bacterial meningitis and had several complications. Dr Friej was a steady, shining light of care and knowledge in a sea of new doctors. My son had strokes, became paralyzed, and developed hydrocephalus, all during a three week stay at Beaumont Hospital. Dr Friej took my concerns and observations seriously and I will never forget him telling new physicians to “always listen to Mom.” He treated me with respect and was there quickly when my son experienced events, like strokes. He was calm and listened, and covered everything in detail. My son is a healthy 27 year old today. He is kind and thoughtful and looks out for everyone around him. Dr Friej’s manner, knowledge and skills contributed strongly to my son surviving his meningitis. I would not hesitate to see Dr Friej again or to recommend him. He is the best. Dr. Freij is a notable pediatric infectious disease specialist. Amazing bedside manner and thoroughly competent. Blessed that he was on the team treating our son when diagnosed with acute hematogenous osteomyelitis. Grateful for his knowledge, kindness, and medical acumen. Truly an inspiring and gifted doctor!

Doctor Freij Bishara is the most thorough and honest doctor I've ever met in my life. When it mattered most, his attention to detail and experience turned a life-ithreatening emergency situation into a road to recovery. He spent a lot of time and dug deep into our history to figure everything out. I could tell that he understands the meaning of intellectual integrity and treated my daughter with a sense of urgency. Dr. Freij saw my daughter July 2017 for frequent fevers, he recommended that we bring her in for bloodwork when she gets her next fever, we did end of August 2017. His office called 1 time to say there is inflammation and there are more results pending. It is now October and we have not heard from Dr or his office even after numerous complaints. Went back to our primary care to get results. I can't say enough about this doctor. He was so knowledgeable, had wonderful bedside manner, and was extremely proactive in treatment for my hospitalized daughter. He is everything a doctor should be!

Dr Freij was consulted during my 2 year olds hospitalization. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this man. Not only did he take time and care to explain in detail what was going on, what the course of treatment was but he did it with the utmost geniune concern. Never once did I feel rushed in the hospital or at his office. His bedside manner is something I have not encountered in a long time. He was so amazing with my daughter as well. His entire office staff was equally thorough and detailed. I would recommend him over and over. He made us feel at ease through a difficult time. Dr. Freij is excellent. Professional, knowledgeable and definitely a gentleman.

Dr. Freij is excellent! Professional, thorough, detailed, and personable. We worked with him a year ago. When the same issue cropped up again he saw us immediately, discussed all my concerns, took detailed notes, got us in for x-rays and labs right away, and called me with the results that evening. Also put up a major fight with the insurance company last year to get her full body MRI approved. Very dedicated and persistant. Can't say enough good things! Really takes time with his patients.

I called over the weekend regarding my 3 yrs old daughter's fever. She was following up with a different doctor, but Dr. Freij was on call that day. He called me back after reviewing her file, then he asked me to bring her to the office on Saturday despite that the office is CLOSED for business. He checked her up and spent more that 30 minutes discussing her case. He ordered her a prescription and Lab tests on the same day. On Sunday Dr. Freij called to discuss Lab results and ask more questions about my daughter. I believe that Dr. Freij went beyond what any other doctors do. He is a true kind and professional doctor.
