I met Dr. Law when I went with my 79 year old mom to her appointment for hyperthyroidism, which had been diagnosed by her GP. He prescribed the iodine pill to kill her thyroid and, soon after, she developed double vision and strabismus of the eyes (one eye began pointing downward). I went to one of her routine appointments with Dr. Law because my mom has a harder time understanding doctors and needs a second set of ears and an advocate. When we brought up her eye issues, he insisted that the eye issues had nothing to do with the hyperthyroidism. I listened to him explain to my mom what was going on with her thyroid like he was repeating what he says to everybody. When she asked a question, he was dismissive and not the least concerned with what our concerns were. One symptom my mom started having on her thyroid meds (Levothyroxine) was sharp and sudden bone pain in her ankles. He interrupted her and said that there was no way the meds were causing that. He didn't even let her finish. Later, when my mom picked up her prescription, she kept the pharmacist instructions and the paperwork from the pharmaceutical company. PLAIN AS DAY on the label was a list of possible side effects: "BONE PAIN" was one of them listed. I found Dr. Law to be arrogant and unconcerned about my mother's concerns. He’s a very good dr

Worst doctor ever! This man did not run the standard of care bloodwork for my condition. I was extremely sick and he did nothing in regards to medication adjustment or even running the correct blood tests. He told me that’s is good as you will ever be. I went to another physician at another practice and they ran the correct bloodwork and adjusted my medication and my condition is very much improved. This doctor is extremely arrogant and down right obnoxious. He was hateful to my family. I do not recommend him to treat anything. Read these reviews people and you will see he does everyone the same way and it’s not good.

I've been a patient of Dr. Law's for a few years now. I couldn't ask for a better doctor. He helped me get the right medicine for me and is always concerned about my concerns and well being.

Dr. Law has been my endocrinologist since 1985. I have been a Type 1 diabetic since 1975. Dr. Law is up to date on current diabetes treatment. I cannot thank him enough for the excellent care he has provided over the past 36 years!

Dr Law has no interest in caring for a human being, they are a mere inconvenience containing the disease he is treating.

I was impressed by all the awards/certifications on his wall and thought for sure I was in the best hands. Boy was I wrong. Everything was great until I took the very recommended (by him) almost pushed radioactive iodine pill to “kill thyroid”. What was suppose to cause no symptoms, gave me shingles, grave’s eye disease, and pretty much 3 years of hell. After taking that pill, I was treated so badly by this dr. He didn’t believe my eye condition was related to thyroid every time I called his office and told the nurse that something was wrong. He just kept saying my thyroid levels didn’t match my symptoms. It took a trip to Mayo Clinic and their diagnosis to get his attention. But then he never recommended I see an ophthalmologist. Never. Kept saying it had to run its course. I finally stopped seeing him, went to Vanderbilt (amazing) where I had a immediate orbital decompression surgery because my optic nerve was compromised. Had I followed this dr.’s advice, I could’ve lost my vision. He may have the awards, and the ego to go with them- but he doesn’t have compassion, knowledge of graves eye disease, and apparently knowledge that Graves’ disease does cause anxiety (you aren’t crazy). He has been my thyroid Dr since I was 14. I am now turning 27. He has kept me on point and has educated me every step of the way.

I see him for hypothyroidism and honestly don't get all the bad reviews. I guess can see how he's kind of a know-it-all at times, but he's extremely thorough and friendly. He spent close to an hour with me on my first visit. I've never had a doctor do that before. He's obviously a perfectionist who insists on labs being perfect. He always makes time for questions and gives lots of praise for my efforts. I feel 10 times better than a year ago and as far as I'm concerned he gave me my life back!!

Doctor that cares

I believe Dr. Law is extremely intelligent & experienced in his field. However, he does not share enough pertinent information with his patients. There are things patients need to know so they are not blind-sighted when they find out certain results & risks. I am a person, not a number. I respect him, but not sure he can empathize with his patients. To him, none of my symptoms are thyroid related & he only offers me one medication option. I've had to educate myself on this matter.

The worst "bedside manner" I have ever experienced in a doctor. Arrogance is off the charts. Likes to talk about himself, and not your symptoms. Horrible experience that made an already frightening cancer diagnosis far worse. Suggested that a thyroid cancer diagnosis with significant lymohnode involvement was "a bump in the road." Then proceeded to talk about his far less serious personal experience with trhyroid cancer. All about himself and not about the patient. Dr. Law is a terrible person.

Do not let this doctor treat you for Hyperthyroidism. Will give you Radioactive Iodine treatment then only has one medication to treat everyone. Does not care about patient or their concerns. Needs to retire.

Worst Doctor i have ever seen! does not care about your symptoms at all and when i was explaining how tired and fatigue i have been he said its not due to my thyroid and all he wanted to do is put me on antidepressants! Needless to say i have found a wonderful doctor that has changed my thyroid medicine and i feel wonderful! its amazing when someone listens to your symptoms and cares about how you feel! wish i could leave a negative 5 star rating! Very Rude DOCTOR!

I wish I could leave a negative 5 star review. I was referred to Dr.Law for hyperactive thyroid, which he later diagnosed as Grave's disease. I don't have enough room to go into every detail of my horrific journey with Dr.Law, but I will say he was not for me! He was arrogant and brushed off any symptoms I reported to him. One of those "symptoms", was thyroid eye disease which is now a severe case and should've been handled aggressively from beg. I am so glad he is NO LONGER my endocrinologist!!
