Listen I have given this man a year of my life to help me and I am no better today than I was a year ago. I have seen him twice in the year of treatment, other than that he pushes you off to his NP and he writes the script. If you want real help see a therapist someone who will listen to your problems and help you through them not someone who keeps changing your meds every 2 weeks so he can fill office vist spots.

Amanda Davis is great. Please be cautious. Read other reviews. I was told I am medication resistant and they didn’t see me again. I was able to get their office to call in my RX for a couple months but they won’t do it again. I do not get into my new dr until next month. Running out of my RX will be fun. I did not have the best experience with Dr. Shah. He was extremely rude and basically told me my problems didn’t matter. I need to keep my husband happy and keep my mouth shut.

Excellent, sincere, trustworthy, honest , professional Doctor . He’s highly educated with mental health . Doesn’t take patients not being truthful to him . He has helped so many patients. His staff have great attitudes and will go out of there way to help you . The other therapist are very wiling and able to help anyway they can . Doctor Bharat Shah should get a 10 star .

Dr. Shah and his nurses are the best! They are caring individuals and are very intuitive to your individual mental health needs. Appointments are always on time and easy to schedule around a busy schedule. I definitely recommend this practice! After being a patient for over 2 years I received a letter stating Dr Shah was discharging me as a patient without ant explanation as to why. I was told very rudely when I called to request refills be sent to pharmacy until I could find a new psychiatrist that "I guess we can give you another month. It can take 4-6 weeks to be seen as a new patient. I feel they couldve called in 2 months to be safe bc i am a patient with mental illness! Common sense that should be! Ignored the reviews because I really needed help. I'm on three different depression meds and he said I was bipolar which honestly is probably true, after he put me on meds he didn't want to talk about my ADHD or my childhood SA that happened consecutively for 4 years which has given me PTSD symptoms. My adhd is ruining my life and im always spiraling or manic until I fly right back into having constant day dreams of my abuse. He wouldn't even assess me after I told him. They don't have therapy or counseling and the lady who answered the phone was always rude and literally laughed at me when I asked about a woman pysch I could talk to and when I asked about conselling, then I asked since they don't provide it if they could make recommendations and of course they had none. . The staff and assistants are helpful and reassuring but the doctor is not. you can provide meds all you want but if their is no feeling personalized genuine empathy for a person there is nothing. yes the medication i took under this psychiatrist helped me, but only due to my counseling (which i was told by this dr that talking about a problem makes it worse?) aiding me. the connections made here have had no real positive impact on my growth. i felt like lying everytime i went because i didn’t want my experience to be downplayed or misunderstood (as it usually was) or more meds to be pushed at me. if you need a psychiatrist, consider another option. Maureen Sloan, my nurse practitioner here has helped me so much. I am grateful for the care I have received. Went to this place, because i have an anxiety/panic attack disorder. He never looked at me directly, diagnosed me as being Depressed, and never let me speak. He got his diagnosis, from a form i filled out, and that was all. He would ask me a question, and then wouldn't let me answer, and would tell me what was wrong. I might have had a total of 5 minutes of interaction with him, the two times i saw him, then pushed off to a NP. THIS PLACE IS NOTHING MORE THAN A LEGAL DOPE HOUSE! Would be no stars if possible. My wife went there twice, with a lot of trauma in her past, was seen for a total of 10 minutes between both appointments, and all he wanted to do was push medication on her that she had told them she's already tried. She went to a different dr just to find out that this office misdiagnosed her. Which is strange that they diagnosed her at all given she never really talked to anybody. Now we have a bill and they charged our insurance for a "Psychiatric Evaluation" that she never actually received. The most information she gave anybody was a medical history type form. This is just a pill mill. I can't stress this enough, if you want real phych help, don't go to this office. We turned to Dr. Anil M. Parikh in Fairlawn. I felt worse after talking to him. He kept emphasizing that I don't have any family and that if I hoped to have any family I needed to "force" my boyfriend's family to "love me." And that I could accomplish this by not focusing on myself but instead ask them about their vacation and stuff like that. He also kept asking why I don't talk to my family and why I don't have more of a social life. Keep in mind I have PTSD from a traumatic childhood but he seems convinced I am depressed because I don't have a lot of friends. I told him I'm an introvert and trying to "make friends" is exhausting to me. He also tried to make me feel bad for not staying on a medication that made me have to get 14 hours of sleep to barely function. And tried to take me off a medication that is working. When I met with Dr. Shah while Ericka was out of the office, I noticed I had my ex-wife listed as my emergency contact. When I stated I would like to change my emergency contact, he asked me if I had tried men before. When I asked why that would be prevalent he stated that my depression could be caused from me not being with men. I told Dr. Shah I would like to see another dr. And he agreed. All other staff at the office have been wonderful. Dr.Shah has always given me an uncomfortable vibe and our meeting confirmed it. Absolutely terrible doctor. I was doing well when I went to him. He started making multiple med changes which were terrible choices and I got much worse. He doesn't listen much at all and acts like a pompous king. Thank God I stopped going to him! He was lousy.

Worst psychiatrist I’ve ever been to. Doesn’t even deserve one star. Will terminate you without notice for having to reschedule.

He is the wost doctor i have ever seen. The staff was a joke. Mean and disrespectful. My daughter was treated horribly. I have called Dr Phillshow, to have him check,plus the news channels. Also reported his conduct. You need shut down and license taken away. I don't want you or your staff hurting anyone else. Only gave one star because i had to to post! Doctor was to call me and never has. Him and his staff are ..... Unreliable. See my daughter is afraid to leave the house at times. So hard to get to doctor. I cancel her twice. Dr. Shaw seems aloof and incompetent. The doctors and nurses there don’t look after your prescriptions, you fall through the cracks and they don’t mind. There fine with repeat customers.

Wish I could give zero stars... This isn't my first rodeo with a psych doctor.. Not even 5 minutes after meeting him for the first time he tried to take me off the only two meds I'm on. I have been EXTREMELY STABLE on them for SIX YEARS! I have ADHD and severe mood swings.. I have tried so many different ADHD meds that failed that it's not even funny. He claimed I didn't have ADHD and that all I have is anxiety.. How can you tell after only knowing me for 5 minutes? YOU CANT! I have been tested for ADHD at 3 different points in my life and it was a yes each time.. He doesn't truly believe in ADHD/the testing Even though it is an actual "condition". He tried to put me on 3 different meds all at once. Right there is a bad idea. Almost no doctor does that. Not to mention, he was very rude. I couldn't even get a word in. Was referred to him after my previous doc retired, the worst doc I have ever seen in the mental health . Did not get my records of 16years from previous doctor, but yet tried to make his own decision of me and medication without reviewing my Mental health record... Or knowing my past and reason for me to go to a doctor like him... Tried to give me seraquil, tranadone few others can not take bad reactions to medications.. If he'd of read my record he'd of known this... After eight months on the deadly combination of pills he prescribed I was in the hospital. The head of psychiatry asked why I was taking pills that should not be given for my illness. When I told him that Dr Shah did, he said never go back to him.

Dr. Shah and Erika are wonderful! I can't thank them enough for their excellent care! They helped me tremendously! I highly recommend Dr. Shah and staff!

Dr Shah is a 6 Star Doc. Not going to give you Xanax for sure, and not any other benzo either (98%sure) he actually cares about your well being! he is licensed to prescribe suboxone which I originally went there for to get out of my vicious cycle of addiction. 1st time there he more or less kicked me out and said “you’re not ready for me” he saw thru my bs as I insisted I had terrible anxiety and depression and needed Xanax and suboxone. He told me go to detox and rid your body of all drugs under med supervision then call me. I will treat the underlying issues that cause you to abuse your body and neglect taking any responsibility. So I did. Actually I called him while in detox at St. Thomas. He actually showed up shook my hand and told me he could give me my life back if I followed his lead to a tee. 30 min counseling w Aricka every week, weekly drug test, complete outpatient program. After bearing my soul he said I have major depression w/out psychotic features(thk God) generalized anxiety disorder, and substance abuse disorder? I did 90 day outpatient 3 hours a day 3x a week complied w all his demands and he prescribed me small doses of Effexor, vybdid, and suboxone. Very small doses. I’ve been clean 945 days now, have same job for 2 yrs, own place, microwave, vacuum, a rug, a bed etc. after 15 yrs of floundering thru life as a drug addict and wondering why I hate myself, life, and have such a fear of reality. I credit Dr Shah w not only saving my life but giving a quality of life I never imagined possible. Now I only see Aricka who is great. Has every degree in the book and now after 2 yrs w me she has a “hard knock” edu that gives her a resume that can pretty much treat anybody. Where you at Parfait??? Savannah the cute receptionist who decorated her space behind the window like a dorm room has made herself awfully comfortable there. Which is cool I’m a big fan! Aricka is amazing!! She’s gotten to know me as a person and treats me with so much caring and compassion. Dr Shah’s staff try to get to the root of your problems and treat the underlying issues. My psychiatrist retired so I had to find another psychiatrist in the area because the office of my former psychiatrist is overcrowded with patients. I found Dr. Shah and my first visit to him will be my last. He came off as very rude, arrogant, and incompetent. He asked me a whole bunch of questions that were not relevant and talked to me in a very demeaning tone. Stay away from this doctor. He seems to have issues himself.

After being treated for depression with paxil and XANAX, I had a psychotic break and I am convinced that Dr. Shah's treatment methods brought me back from the brink. He's a great clinician.

An absolute disgrace to any medical profession. Did not have a single care for this patient. Pushes his personal beliefs onto his patients and was as unprofessional as anyone in the medical field.

I have been going to Dr Shahs office to see Maureen for over a year and I just found out today in 8/25/16 that I was" terminated" as a patient, with no notification. I am now having to find another physician and being on an controlled substance I am now racing against the remaining pills that I have left so I do not have any serious side affects. He is a horrible doctor who has narrasisic behavior himself. Someone will die under his care. He cares nothing for his patients and is all about how much money he can make. Talks down to you at every appointment. Feel worse coming out then when you went in. Please don't give him another dime.

The absolute worst physician I have ever seen. Tried take me off Ambien that had saved my life and helped me be able to live a normal life again. Blamed my insomnia on electronics somehow and cell phones when at the time I only had a flip phone that I barely used. Stay Away!!

Very poor. Has his own ideas on treating severe anxiety/panic with drugs I've had before that cause more harm because he prescribes it in a "special" way.

I saw Dr. Shah several times over a period of a few months. I found him to be extremely judgmental, arrogant, incompetent and frankly very rude. I've never had anyone talk to me with such a condescending tone. The office is old, dirty, and needs renovated.

Previous prescriptions to SSRIs and SSNRIs have proven unsuccessful in my past treatments and where the exact reason that I left other doctors. He insisted that I have depression and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that my depression is directly linked to another underlining issue. I was almost willing to try until I found out this doctor is one of the highest payout doctors in the region. He received kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies for prescribing certain medications. I know a lot of them do but I would prefer a good doctor with ethics and morals. His staff was amazing friendly and helpful. Accepts so many insurances, has very very nice reception staff, billing is willing to work with you on payment plans, the doctor is extremely experienced, and the nurse practitioners are very very caring.

However, if you would like a treatment plan to a better way of life, make an appointment. Dr. Shah and his team take a "no-nonsense" approach to mental health care. Dr. Shah has been criticized as being dismissive and arrogant, however I firmly believe his decisions are made with compassion and years of experience under his belt.
