Her careful, caring chemotherapy treatment plan proved the most reliable response to combatting my muscle-invasive cancer diagnosis. Her nursing staff and infusion team also are the best. I NEVER have any difficulty reaching Dr. Beth with a question or concern and more importantly receiving a prompt response. Best doctor ever. Trust her completely.

Dr. Hellerstedt is amazing. God could not have placed me with a better Oncologist after I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'll never forget how she called me while she was on vacation and spent a lot of time with me explaining what I could expect during my cancer treatment, but she consoled me and gave me HOPE of not only having successful treatment regimen, plan, and outcome, but that I could expect a low risk of having a breast cancer reoccurrence in the future. I thank GOD for her, as she seemed to really care about me and my road to a cancer free life. Everyday I declare that I am a cancer survivor because she instilled in me that HOPE. Dr. Beth Hellerstedt was very professional in her manner and answered my questions promptly and thoroughly.

She is the best oncologist in Central Texas...that is what I was told in Houston after having surgery for breast cancer before returning to Austin. I feel so blessed.

I only see Dr. Hellerstedt once a year but I have seen her for several years. She is very personable, knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate the attention and time her and the office provides.

I have been with Dr. H since 2008. She is a fantastic doctor who is on top of everything for me and my health. She listens with an open heart and mind. I would not ever want a different oncologist.

First visit with Dr Hellerstedt was a virtual visit like a meet and greet and I was very impressed with her and her compassion for what I was going thru and would need to go through. She connected me with all the phases that were needed for the complete diagnosis and the treatments and care that could or would be needed. I am very grateful for her expertise.

I have found Dr. Hellerstedt very personable, and caring, as well as extremely knowledgable. She was highly recommended to me and lived up to those recommendations. Although I only saw her yearly for three years (after my second mastectomy) when she walked in the door she had my history and treatment in her mind. I always felt like a person she knew and cared about.

I don't think it is possible to overstate how good of a doctor Dr. Hellerstedt is. She is thorough, caring, compassionate, dedicated and driven. I have yet to talk to anyone anywhere who has said bad things about her, but she doesn't rest on her laurels. She continues to push forward on her mission to defeat cancer. Also, since they are a big part of the package for getting treatments, her staff at Texas Oncology is first rate. I highly recommend Dr. Hellerstedt!

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Hellerstedt to family and friends for any kind of cancer or blood disorder. Well, I already have recommended her to at least 20 different people. She is fantastic: smart as hell, informative, compassionate, has a great care team working with her. And she's NOT a doctor (I've seen many) who has a huge ego and talks down to people. If you need another specialist, she'll pull them in. If you need multiple options, she'll listen and explore them with you. I trust her implicitly and I could not possibly recommend her more highly!

She explained to me exactly what my condition was, what the treatment plan was, and the outcome she was looking for. Since then, she has followed me every six months. She is reassuring, professional, compassionate, and has a wonderful sense of humor. I think she is just awesome!

Dr.Hellerstedt ALWAYS presents with an upbeat yet HIGHLY PROFESSIONAL attitude . She ALWAYS asks pertinent questions about my physical condition and ANSWERS , clearly , any questions I may have.

Dr Hellerstedt is a very dedicated physician whose goal seems to be to find out what a particular problem is and the best way to find the problem and treat it. Dr. Hellerstedt has always shown incredible compassion for me in my continuing battle with multiple health issues. Even during the recent winter storm when travel to the clinic was not possible, she stayed in touch with me via phone to make sure I was doing okay. Dr. Hellerstedt is the oncologist you want when your life is on the line. Brilliant, straightforward but compassionate, professional, great sense of humor and a huge advocate for her patients. I feel blessed to be treated by her. I know I’m cared for by the best in the business. Which is what you want when cancer is in your life. Office staff, scheduling staff, infusion staff, pharmacy team, phlebotomists and front check in staff are ALL genuine and kind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Little did we know the chemo would reveal a never before diagnosed condition, one that caused a big problem in my treatment. Dr. H was quick to bring other physicians onboard with more experience and training in the non-cancer area of concern, but still maintained the role of coordinator for my care. She has continued to take care of my CLL treatment and has worked to keep this other issue under control. I cannot express enough the kindness, compassion, and brilliance of this doctor.
