Dr Bach is a great doctor. He doesn’t rush thru your appointments. He sits down and explains procedures step by step, and also allows you to ask questions and explains in full detail. I would highly recommend him .

Dr. Bach is a very experienced, diligent, and caring professional. Excellent outcome from my knee procedure(s) with him. His team (John B. and Valencia J.) are most helpful. Excellent staff at Rush Surgery Center in Oak Brook and University Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Bach is the consummate professional: on time; detailed; excellent communications skills; strong diagnostic skills; and solution oriented. Left his office feeling better and with a comprehensive plan for injury resolution and recovery.

I had my first surgery with Dr. Bach after a failed ACL reconstruction surgery done by another doctor about 13 years ago. My ACL surgery with Dr. Bach was successful. He, John Bojchuk and the rest of his staff were nothing short of fantastic in helping me return to my active lifestyle.

Dr. Bach did a great job repairing my knee and because of him and his fantastic team, I am back to the gym and getting 10,000 steps in a day!

Been a patient of Dr. Bach for over 15 years, had multiple knee surgeries with excellent results. I have arthritis in my knees & just saw Dr. Bach for a quick and pain free injections into my knee. Dr. Bach listens to my complaints and takes time to explain my best option. As a nurse practitioner, I highly recommend Dr. Bach, he is caring, compassionate and competent. Back to see Dr. Bach again after he repaired my ACL over 30 years ago! My X-ray showed the repair was still perfectly intact and no arthritis at all. However I have a torn meniscus which I am scheduling for surgery with him. I have total confidence in his skills!!

Dr Bach is an excellent surgeon and overall orthopedic knee specialist. Both my daughters had surgeries done by him, I have consulted him about my knee inflammation. He is communicating the condition and treatment very well, hardly any wait for the appointment, he is very good and all our outcomes were excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

I always look forward to my visits with Dr. Bach which is usually not the case for many when visiting a physician. He is very knowledgeable in his field. He is very thorough and patient. He greets his patients very warmly at the onset of each visit and explains any concerns and provides medical suggestions for his patients that makes one feel very confident when leaving.

My experience with Dr. Bach has been excellent since the very first consultation! I chose him because of his reputation as the best ACL reconstruction surgeon in the Midwest. This was my second attempt at correcting my knee problems, having previously used an inexperienced surgeon almost 10 years ago, who provided me with a failed graft from day one. This experience was totally different. There was much less swelling, almost no pain, and I was off crutches within two days. This is compared to a few weeks my last time around! My Physical Therapist is amazed and says I’m at least 6 weeks ahead of everyone else with the same surgery by different doctors! After only 6 weeks post op I’m already back to my normal routine, working on the house, hiking, running up stairs, and all this without a limp or any range of motion loss! After years of pain and unstableness, I’m finally fixed! Couldn’t be happier!!

Dr. Bach explains his total plan how he will address your condition and listens and answers any questions or concerns you have. He never rushes your appointment and truely cares about your individual outcome.

Dr. Bach always listens to my concerns and responds to my questions in very simple, easy to understand terms. His expertise in the OR should make anyone feel comfortable in receiving the expected outcomes after surgery. I had my most recent knee surgery with Dr. Bach and have had shoulder and other knee surgeries in my life with different doctors throughout the country. I can tell you from first hand experiences that he is one of the best.

Dr. Bach performed surgery on my right knee (osteotomy) 26 years ago, best decision I ever made, knee is still going strong. Dr. Bach is the most genuine and kind surgeon I have ever met (and I work in the OR). He really takes the time to listen to you and cares about your progress and overall wellbeing. He is also very skilled and my outcomes have been great (I have had knee surgery x3 with him due to injuries). His trainer, John, is wonderful too. The entire process from scheduling a visit, to x-rays, to MRI, to surgery was an easy and fast process. I highly recommend Dr. Bach for any knee problems.

Dr. Bach did my first knee surgery in June 1998 and my second in 2007. I had a torn ACL and a torn meniscus. I was able to fully recover from both and play a long career of football from 1994-2016. Dr. Bach’s work on my knees was very promising and beneficial. I was able to play intercollegiate football and professional football afterwards as well as competing in sports like; powerlifting, intercollegiate rugby, intercollegiate track & field, and many other activities that are extreme on the knees. Had a procedure this morning on I my and knee couldn't be any more satisfied with the entire experience. I highly recommend Dr. Bach and his entire team, Dr. Sobczak and Emily his Nurse Anestheologist ssistant, Allison and the rest of the nurses. I have seen Dr. Bach multiple times for the past 7 or 8 years for multiple knee problems. He has operated on me 3 times and everytime he has made me feel extremely comfortable with my decision to have surgery. The negative feedback he has gotten makes no sense. Dr.Bach, recently did surgery on my right shoulder; I had a torn Rotator Cuff repair in January 2020.Prior to my surgery, Dr.Bach was treating me, with assessing my MRI's, and Exrays. Every visit that I have had with his, has been nothing short of Professionalism, Compassion, and kindness. Dr.Bach always shows me, and my family, empathy, and consideration. The day of my surgery, he came into the surgical holding room, with a Big Smile on his face. He reassured me,and my family, that he was going to take excellent care of me. In which he did, and still does. He sending me to his excellent team of physical therapist. I have had the mostly excellent recovery experience, that could possibly be given to a patient. Dr.Bach is the best Doctor that I have ever had He loves what he does, and enjoy the service that he provides for the patients. He has excellent Bed Side manner. Dr Bach is an Amazing doctor. Every time I see him he listens to my complaints, describes a plan of treatment and then sends me on a road to recovery. I would recommend him HIGHLY

Dr. Bach did my ACL reconstruction surgery last August and every interaction I've had with him and his staff has been good, except for my initial consultation where they were running behind by an hour. All other appointments were timely and the staff responded to inquiries quickly. When talking with Dr. Bach he made sure to take the time to answer any questions/concerns that I had, even though I knew he had other patients to see. I highly recommend choosing Dr. Bach as a surgeon.

Multiple doctors insisted that I needed a full knee replacement. In contrast, Dr. Bach felt that he could “buy me a few years” by way of arthroscopy/notchplasty. That approach may not be for everyone, but it was for me. 4 weeks post-op, my range of motion is significantly improved; I can walk and stand normally again for the first time in several years. Time will tell, but I am very pleased with the results so far. Dr. Bach was knowledgeable, straightforward, and personable every step along the way. I can recommend him within reservation.

Most people have just a family doctor. My family has its own family orthopedic surgeon. He has done two ACL surgeries on my son, a torn meniscus on my wife and I. Rush Ortho also did both my wrists and my sons hip. Every single surgery was the BEST. Anyone can do great once in a while. But SEVEN times? That is something great!!!

A friend recommended Dr. Bach to us. At the time, our daughter was experiencing knee pain after surgery for a torn meniscus. Her previous surgeon didn't order PT or another MRI despite return visits and complaints of continued pain. Finally, after an episode of acute pain, we sought out Dr. Bach. Hearing of her past experience, Dr. Bach scheduled her within the week. He had the most amazing bedside manner and listened patiently while she explained her past experience and her pain. He examined her and ordered an MRI that was performed THAT DAY. A few days later, we learned that she had torn her meniscus again, partially because the original surgeon missed another injury on the original MRI, which accounted for her continued pain and lead to the instability that caused her second meniscus tear. Dr. Bach performed her second meniscus surgery, repairing both injuries. He also ordered immediate PT. She is now completely healed and we are forever grateful.

When I tore my ACL skiing in December 2018 and the Steamboat ER doc told me that I would need surgery I was in shock. Thanks to a friend, I was referred to Dr. Bach. Dr. Bach spent time with me during every office visit, explained the procedure and alternative suggestions, and quickly followed up on any questions I had outside of scheduled appointments. His bedside manner kept me calm. I decided to go with surgery. This experience was phenomenal. The surgical center was nice and clean. Dr. Bach's staff were caring and compassionate. Most importantly, Dr. Bach fixed my torn ACL with minimal scarring. I can barely see the surgical sites on my knee. His work was so flawless, that my recovery was quick (with the help of PT) and I was back to my normal activities in no time. Thank you to the best surgeon and surgical team.

Great experience, He performed surgery on my right shoulder many years ago. I had no problem after that. Now my other shoulder is bothering me. He’s the only doctor I would see to get an accurate diagnosis.

After a bad fall on my right shoulder I could not sleep through the night without a dull ache waking me up between 9 - 13 times a night. 3 days after surgery I was sleeping through the night. 7 Weeks later I was back to full range of motion. I hope to be back to playing racquetball within a couple more months. I am 53 years old and was told to live with it and see what happens over the next year. I feel my athletic lifestyle is back!! Thanks Dr. Bach!!!

Dr Bach is a very helpful and knowledgeable surgeon. He did ACL reconstruction on both my knee's. I have been able to get back to bike riding , running, and everything I like to do with no pain or problems. I would highly recommend Dr Bach.

I had a positive experience with Dr. Bach. Four months after the date of my injury, I was still experiencing pain. My employer continually denied the number of physical therapy sessions recommended by Dr. Bach repeatedly. Subsequently, my recovery was hampered and delayed. Dr. Bach ordered "work conditioning" physical therapy sessions. Hopefully, my employer will abide by Dr. Bach's recommendation. Thank you, Dr. Bach!

Dr. Bach has performed all 6 of my knee surgeries over the years, which included two ACL reconstructions, the right knee in 1993, and the left knee in 2004. As a 58-year old man, who completed his first half ironman this summer and has done about 12 triathlons, it really is thanks to Dr. Bach and his staff's great work that i have any quality of athletic life at all. Technically i should be crippled but Dr. Bach's work has kept me active for years.

I keep to Dr.Bach very frustrated seeking a second opinion. Dr. Bach was very thorough and very good with both my teenage girls!

Looks like Robbi Fabbri isn't the first to suffer from the poor decision making and skills of Bernie. Why was someone with an MCL cleared to play professional hockey in under 7 months, really? I have read the negative reviews he received and honestly I think it must be the patient. He was OUTSTANDING as well as his staff! He did 2 surgeries for my daughter and one for my husband and everything was amazing. He is a very personable man and I HIGHLY recommend him. Dr. Bach performed an ACL replacement on my right knee using a cadaver ligament several years ago. He did an exceptional job. I was in a brace for one week after the surgery with moderate pain. In two weeks I was walking on a tread mill. Three weeks after the surgery I was biking 10 miles every other day with zero pain. I have a 1" scar on my shin that has faded away completely. So incredibly pleased with the results. His team still calls me every now and then to check on my knee. Today it is by far the stronger of my two knees. Dr Bach is the best physician I have ever seen. After rupturing my pectoral major and being misdiagnosed by another physician I was sceptical, but he won me over. I saw 3 separate doctors before going with Dr Bach. His experience and bed side manner was head and shoulders above everyone else. You never feel rushed, he spends as much time with him as you need. I would Highly recommend him.

Terrible experience, I wouldn't recommend it. It was an ACL and meniscus repair. It's been 1.5 years, still can't run. I needed to see another doctor because this Dr. wouldn't listen to me when I told him I had pain and couldn't walk. I asked him for an MRI, he said it wasn't necessary. The other doctor ordered an MRI and found I needed another surgery. I wouldn't recommend this doctor. Terrible experience, I wouldn't recommend it. It was an ACL and meniscus repair. Dr.Bernard Bach is the best surgeon I've ever been to . He's a gracious person and caring , he did my ACL/ MCL reconstruction in the early 80's

My son and I have both had surgeries with Dr. Bach. His professionalism, reputation and skill set are all outstanding - along with his follow-up. The staff he's selected is a perfect fit, and John does a fabulous job of taking care of any questions and/or concerns that come up. I can't imagine anyone being anything but happy with him!

I had a great experience with Dr Bach. I had a complete ACL reconstruction surgery. He was great, his staff with very nice and helpful. Dr Rachel was very helpful. I've heard some people complain that he wasn't nice or didn't listen to them. This was not my experience, he does have a dry sense of humor but I didn't go to him because I wanted someone to tickle my emotions and make me feel like rainbows and Skittles. I went to him because he is the most experienced ACL surgeon in Chicago and one of the top surgeons in the country. He was very nice and respectful to me including in all my follow-ups but even if he wasn't "nice" he did a great job on my knee and that's what I actually cared about. terrible doctor, terrible person, terrible practice. Just don't use him as your orthopedic surgeon. Seriously, find someone else. He ruined my knee and then dropped me as a patient.
