Dr. Bernard Jay Asdell

My son had 4 wisdom teeth and a molar pulled by Dr. Asdell this morning. I was impressed with the office staff and "Call Dr. Asdell if you have any problems". All smoke and mirrors I suppose. Pain meds were called into CVS. I was told to pick them up at 1pm. I went to pick them up and was told that CVS is out of this pain med and it was a CVS wide problem. I contacted Dr. Asdell's office and was told they could call it into Walgreens. At 2 pm & 4 pm, Walgreens still did not have the order. I called the office at 4 pm and received a voice mail that made it sound like the office was closed (this same voice mail claims the office is open today until 4:30pm) and gave me a number for Dr. Asdell & to call if my problem could not wait till the next business day. My son was in a lot of pain, so I called and left a message. I called & left another message again at 6 pm. It is now 8:30pm. Still no call back from Dr. Asdell and no prescription called into Walgreens. We are following the post surgical instructions to the letter. All I wanted was the meds I was told he could have for some relief for my son who had just had 5 teeth pulled. I am very disappointed and highly recommend you find another oral surgeon for wisdom teeth or any other tooth extraction as I would not recommend Dr. Asdell. That is unless you don't mind being in a lot of pain after surgery. By the way we did use the x strength Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Those just were not enough for the pain my son was experiencing and he has a high tolerance for pain.I am now seeing that I am not the only one star review. Do you homework. I wish I had.

I've had multiple procedures at Dr. Asdell's office. The ladies there are great and Dr. Asdell is knowledgeable and professional. He always does fantastic work and I trust him.

Had my wisdom teeth pulled today, was extremely nervous at first, however I was asleep during the whole procedure which made it easy, woke up, felt fine for the most part. Staff seemed friendly and straight to the point. Would recommend

Office and nurse staff is horrible. They can not coordinate appt times, prescriptions, discharge processes.

Very professional and they take great care in health and safety.

Just had a tooth extracted.. very pleased with office personnel and Dr Asdell.. ALL very professional and completed the work very efficiently.. Just what I EXPECTED..

My 3 year old son got recommended to Jay Asdell for his tongue tie. They were able to get us in within 2 weeks of calling unlike other surgeons I tried. They fixed his tongue and was very sweet to him! Even called the next morning to check on him. Very nice and caring people!

Dr. Asdell himself was fine; not the most personable, but honestly that's okay with me. He seemed like he knew about what he was doing, which is what mattered most to me. He did answer all the questions I had. The office, on the other hand, was a nightmare. I received conflicting information before my consultation, during my consultation, and multiple times after my consultation about how payment works and about scheduling the procedure to get my wisdom teeth extracted. I asked for clarification at every single point of the process and could *never* get a clear, straight answer. The ladies seemed nice enough but were incredibly frustrating to work with. I'm going somewhere else to get my wisdom teeth extracted.

The staff was cold and not personable except for the lady in the back who gave me the treatment plan proposal (I believe her name was Andi). Dr. Asdell seemed rushed and again, not very friendly or approachable. I actually scheduled my procedure with someone else for this reason. I wouldn't recommend.

They don’t work with insurance. Even the onus on paying the location for a biopsy is on you. You will call that place. You pay them out of pocket 100%, because they just do not deal with insurance, and then, maybe insurance will reimburse you. It’s your responsibility though to figure out every step of that. These people are not here to help. They’re here to get paid.

Love DR ASDELL! Quick in and out. Sedation is my preferred method, and never have a problem with sedation or recovery. Entire family only uses DR ASDELL. Bad tooth, wisdom teeth, etc! Never a dry socket , or need of pain meds.

Our daughter had surgery here. The staff was rude and rushed my wife and daughter out of the office before the sedation wore off, and they offered no help to my wife who had to get our daughter, who couldn't completely walk yet, and her service dog out to our car alone. All because they were bothered by the fact that she was crying. My daughter is autistic and they knew that ahead of time, yet they treated her and my wife terribly. Not recommended. just had my fourth visit to Dr Asdell's office and totally pleased each time - everyone is friendly and professional - when I need an extraction, I always ask to be referred to Dr Asdell

Dr. Asdell and his team did a great job from booking my appointment to the recovery room. They were very friendly and knowledgeable which made the process much easier as I was really scared for oral surgery. Thanks again!

Today was the fourth time that i had had Dr Asdell extract a tooth and each time he and his office have done a super job. Very professional, friendly- they know what they are doing and I enter the office confident that my dental problem will be dealt with properly. I was amazed that after at least one of my visit, Dr Asdell himself called me late afternoon to see how I was doing. When I need oral surgery, he's the only one who I want to see.

Had a good experience having left over tooth roots removed.very quick .Staff was attentive.doctor was OK.not the most personable but gets u in and out.they send u home with plenty of gauze ,chapstick and after care instructions.skimpy on pain meds but I probly won't need alot .He's very good at what he does.would recommend.
