Dr. Benjamin Levy

Dr Levy is great! He is patient and listens. He'll do his best to help you using some of the best modern techniques, plus he will help you understand exactly what is wrong and how to prevent it. If he thinks he can't help, he won't waste time getting you to the proper person. Out of all my doctors, Dr Levy is probably my favorite.

Makes your diagnosis without even seeing you. Then makes assumptions and without reading your chart, provides you with a medication you are known to be allergic to then attempts to shift blame. Takes no responsibility for his actions.

I had been waiting on Mr. Benjamin Levy for pain management consult at the East Orange VA all day. It was why I was admitted from the ER in the first place. Not only did he deem not worthy to visit a few floors to see me, but he also made an e-consult for recommendations based on conversations we never had as we had never met. Then without bothering to read my allergy chart, ordered something I'm highly allergic to and basically tried to kill me. I spoke with the nurse to inform them of my allergy but whether they conveyed the message or not is not something that is known. All I know is that I had no further medical attention for 3 more hours until the morning staff was appalled and immediately took action in regards to my allergy and my reactions to the medication given. No apology was given and it seems now he's scrambling to save his own career. A simple apology would have sufficed in the beginning but now all trust is gone and will pursue this issue all the way to the VA OIG office.

Out of all the doctors I see, I think Dr Levy is my favorite. He's professional and doesn't play games or waste time like some others seem to do. He's knowledgeable and gets the job done!

He has cared for me over 12 years. He goes above and beyond and always makes sure you are linked to continued care.
