Dr. Benjamin Patrick Caughlin

My problem is that I have a round face and a stubborn double chin/neck that would not leave me alone even after losing weight. Dr. C said I have more of a structure issue than a fat issue and suggested a chin implant along with jawline sculpting and morpheous8. Everyone says I look slimmer and the work I got done looks very natural. Dr. C and his staff made me feel very comfortable from start to finish and I have no regrets about my decision. I am feeling so much more confident and it's all thanks to them. This is hands down one of the best decisions I've made.

Had a great experience with Dr. C, he listened to exactly what I wanted, his staff was very personable, and although I’m just about 4-5 months out from my procedure I am satisfied with my results. My results are subtle but I asked for subtle so ????????‍♀️ go in knowing exactly what you want and what would look good on your face shape.

I got a chin implant from Dr. C about a month ago and so far I am very satisfied with the result! Dr C chose the right sized implant and the surgery itself was not painful. A big shout-out to James who is very friendly and professional. Overall it was amazing experience. Highly recommend!

I could seriously have not asked for a better doctor and team to work with. I have been debating about getting this procedure done for so long, and I am so happy I went with Dr. Caughlin. I went with a chin implant and jawline sculpting/lipo. He really knows his stuff and he is hilarious. It’s hard to find a doctor that is so educated, listens to your goals, and also has a personality on top of it. I am only one day post op but I cannot wait to see my results. I was super nervous before the procedure but the entire team made me feel so calm and they were so thorough with every question I had. Dr. Caughlin also checks up on you which I’ve never had in the past. I would highly, highly recommend this practice to anyone! 10,000 stars. You guys are amazing.

It took about 2 years and 3 consultations to find the right plastic surgeon, and surprisingly I found one a bus ride away. I went in for a Chin Implant, Buccal Fat Removal and Chin Liposuction. Was I nervous? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. I love the outcome, and my confidence level went to the roof! If you want to be happy with your results, make sure to do your research and go to someone you trust.

September 16, 2022: I just very recently got buccal fat removal done by Dr. Caughlin and even though I am still recovering and very swollen, I had to leave a review just because of the care and kindness that the staff treated me with. I never in my life imagine that I would actually get surgery done even though it was something that I always thought about and deep down wanted to do. I have struggled all my life with feelings of low self-confidence and low self-esteem because of my appearance. I had come to a point where I felt that I finally needed to do something about it to make me feel better about myself because it was really affecting my daily life. Always comparing myself to others. Not wanting to look people in the eye. Doing my best to cover my face in whichever way possible. Always looking down at the ground. I didn't think I would actually be able to get an appointment with Dr. Caughlin, but their team really wanted to help me and really went above and beyond to make this happen for me. They were so kind and understanding throughout the whole process. I felt very comfortable at ease and once I met Dr. C in person I knew I was in good hands. Thank you Dr.C, Rebecca, Ally, and James so much as well for making this as painless as possible! :) UPDATE Feb 23, 2023: Since getting my procedure done, I can definitely tell that my cheekbones look much more defined. The massader botox I had done has lost its effect now since it has been about 5 months since the procedure. The botox really helped with the slimming down effect, if anyone is interested in combining the two together I would recommend it, the only downside is that it does not last forever. I had a check up with Dr . C and it seems that I haven't completely healed, so I'm looking forward to my results when they do! On a side note, I went into the office after having a hectic and sort of a bad day and ended up being an emotional mess, but Dr.C and his team were so kind and understanding towards, even though I'm a bit embarassed, but I really appreciate their kindness because I had really needed it. If in the future I would get any more procedures done, I would absolutely go to Dr.C.

First i would like to say that i have had other experiences with cosmetic surgeons local and out of state and this office hands down from the moment i called to even now have exceeded all expectations and previous experiences. The staff is all so pleasant and helpful from the very first phone call. I also traveled from out of state. I had buccal fat removal, chin implant and neck lipo with Morpheus8. Dr.C was fantastic, made you feel very comfortable because he is really that good. They continue to check on you well after you get home. They are the best, all of them. If i ever get any other facial procedure done i would come back hands down. Dont try to be cheap its your face ????????‍♀️

From consult to surgery and post-op I was throughly impressed with Dr. C and his staff. Ally and James are true gems as I felt supported during my entire journey. I got buccal fat removal 9 months ago and my cheeks are noticeably uneven. I never expected uneven results but my left cheek is now very hollowed out compared to my right. I would go ahead and say this procedure wasn’t worth it. Notable doctors are stopping the procedure due to many reasons. I would do thorough research before booking the surgery.

10 stars! I did a lot of research for buccal fat removal. I had a couple of consultations with local doctors, but I wasn’t confident with their suggestions on my aesthetic goals. I somehow stumbled across Dr C’s crazy Tiktok videos, and the more I watched, the more intrigued I got with his “Cheekago” technique. I booked my virtual consultation, and I was immediately convinced I found the right place! Rebecca explained everything thoroughly and helped me organize my trip to Chicago. I had the in person consult the same day as the procedure. The entire office staff was just amazing! Ally and James took such great care of me pre and postop. Dr C was awesome; has the best bedside manners and the funniest! He really knows his stuff and I trusted him 100%. Dr C made sure my recovery was going well when I got back home. He answered all my questions and concerns. I’m only 2 weeks postop and was gonna wait to review until I healed more, but I was so excited to seeing some results already! My face is already slimmer and I can already see jaw contours! I cannot wait for the final results (3-6 months).

I had bucal fat removal, jawline definition lipo, fat transplant, chin implant, fuller and Botox. I am extremely pleased with the results from Dr Caughlin. I had a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in the door, I was treated as if I were close family. Wonderful bedside manner from Dr. And his wonderful assistant. If you want great results book with Dr. Caughlin. I always say you get what you pay for, other Doctors might do it for less but the results are obvious.

I am in my 50s and wanted help with a sagging jawline and hooded eyes. I consulted with Dr. C who understood I would not want the downtime of a full facelift. Instead, he recommended several procedures including extended neck/chin lipo, chin implant, buccal fat removal and Morpheus 8. I am 3 months post op and could not be more happy with my results. The surgery resulted in a big impact, yet my face is "still me". No pulling around the eyes or weirdness. The actual procedure itself was well tolerated and was not in any pain beyond a soreness post op. I did not experience any numbness or other problems. This doctor is a true expert in facial anatomy. He's worth every penny. As for the overall service experience - five stars to the staff. On surgery day and beyond the staff (James! Ally!) treat you with a lot of personalized TLC. Dr. C follows up regularly by phone/text and they are there to answer any questions. Recovery time was exactly as they described took about 3 weeks before I was "in person" non detectable. Swelling took a little longer but it really just looked like my "old face" for a bit before my jaw emerged. Highly recommended.

Hands down the BEST surgeon & team you could ever get to achieve your aesthetic dreams- I traveled to Chicago just for the procedure but it was sooo worth it. I’ve followed Dr. Coughlin on Instagram and loved how playful and down to earth he was in his videos. But one thing that always stood out to me was how knowledgeable he truly is about his craft. After lots of research (Some other surgeons I’d considered had plenty of arbitrations on their medical board records, while Dr. C had none.) I knew that I wanted him to be my doctor but when I finally met him in the consultation, my decision was solidified immediately! He has the kindest demeanor and the most electric blue eyes that radiate both humor and knowledge. I’ve actually had a consultation before that wasn’t even with the doctor, but with a staff member. With Dr. C, I got to speak to HIM and ask any and all questions I had. When he saw the list of things that I wanted done and then looked at my face on FaceTime, he did something that I have NEVER seen a surgeon do. He looked at me and said “This is a long list of things that you want done. But frankly, I dont think you need all that.” This man is as honest as they come! It’s really sad how so many surgeons take advantage of people by playing on their insecurities and up charging them for things they don’t even need. And on another note, if you see him goofing around on Instagram, it’s just because this man is fun and comfortable in his own skin. Don’t let that fool you into thinking he’s not a professional! I didn’t have to worry about a thing, they had resources for me to get discounted hotels specifically for this procedure and my medicines were sent to my state beforehand. I interviewed several surgeons in Chicago before selecting Dr. Benjamin Caughlin, MD,FACS to perform a neck lift, buccal fat removal and ear lobe rejuvenation. I am 65 years old and my main concerns were a craggy neck, pronounced marionette lines, jowls, loss of a perceptible jawline and double chin with loose skin. There is something special about Dr. Caughlin. He lights up the room when he walks in. He radiates caring goodness. He made me feel happy just speaking with him. He has kind eyes and a warm bedside manner. These things cannot be taught. (But trust, his CV is incredible!) You can tell he enjoys his profession! His enthusiasm is contagious and my decision was made after this initial consultation. Closer to the date of surgery following my pre operative reference photographs, Dr had the excellent suggestion of a small chin implant as well to balance my profile in addition to the procedures I requested. End result sooooo happy beyond.

The combined procedures definitely gave my face the change I was looking for. My side profile was my biggest insecurity as I’ve always had a slight double chin and practically no definition because of my round face. One of the things I value most in a doctor is their experience and their ability to think critically, but I also want a doctor who has integrity, thoughtfulness, compassion, and someone who is going have your best interest in mind. Dr. Caughlin has surpassed my expectations and I feel fortunate that I found him. Dr. Caughlin is a professional at what he does and he is extremely personable. He put me at ease right away and always made time for me to answer my many questions, usually via a direct FaceTime or phone call, days and weeks up to the procedure and now 6 months after. After months of researching doctors country wide, I flew in from the East Coast to have my buccal fat removed and the whole trip was easy peasy. He played awesome music the whole time and made sure the overall experience was fun. No pain during! Him and his team were very accommodating and made sure I was all set with meds, stay, and way home. I went in to have a bump on my forehead checked out. It turned out to be a benign Lipoma. Doctor Caughlin was able to get me in and remove it the same day! He was super nice and comforting, talking and joking with me throughout the procedure. He was able to make the incision under my hair line where the scar is not even noticeable. I was prescribed some medication for pain but I experienced no pain whatsoever. When I decided to turn to filler injections for my hollowing eyes, I had no idea where to begin to find a surgeon. I constantly heard a radio ad talking about Dr. Coughlin and his office services. So I decided to give them a call and see if they would be able to help with my issue. This had to be the best phone call I've ever made! During my FREE consultation, Dr. Coughlin was very attentive and listened to my concerns. He was very knowledgeable and recommended what would be best to address my "problem." I decided to schedule the procedure one week after my initial appointment. The day of my procedure, I was extremely nervous. Dr. Coughlin's personality and positive attitude soothed my nerves.
