Ben Kieff

Went to Dr Keif, needed two stretches of my esophagus, it was very narrowed. After my second stretch I had strange complications and ended up in the ER, called office explained to nurse, no call back, tried again, once again no return call. I had to seek out alternative care. Very disappointing a doc cares so little to follow up concerning issues.

I came to Dr. Kieff in really rough shape. I had a prior GI dr that kept throwing steroids at me and refused to believe my c diff was recurring. I had a hard time even walking into the office. Dr. Kieff didn't step on my previous doctor's toes, but I assured him that I didn't want just a second opinion,I wanted to find a new dr. Dr. Kieff had me come back in 2 days for a colonoscopy because he said I couldn't wait a week and he was going on vacation. The week Dr. Kieff was on vacation, he and his nurse called me to check up and get new meds rolling. Everytime I see Dr. Kieff now, 8+ years later, he always comments on how bad my Crohns was. For a doctor with so many patients, him remembering and caring for my life and well being for this long,shows what kind of great doctor he is.

Dr. Kieff has done a few procedures on my husband and now on my 86 year old mom.. HE WAS AWESOME!!! He took such good care of my mom and listened and never acted like she was taking too much time! THANK YOU

Sent us to Henry Ford Clinic attached to his office on Lake Dr. So unfit for diagnosis. His ego is bigger than the universe. Went to UofM #1 hospital in Michigan for proper diagnosis. Kieff's bedside manner is aweful, so is staff.

If you care for your Loved one move on , likes repeat business and will keep you under his care as long as possible ! Michael

Dr. Kieff has always responded to questions for me as his patient and for my husband in a very prompt manner. Feel completely comfortable relating to Dr. Kieff and his office staff as well.

Dr. Kieff and his staff were fantastic. They all were very calming and fun to be around, which helped a ton with nerves! I would recommend Dr. Kieff to anyone who needs gastro procedures done, especially if one tends to be more anxious about doctors appointments in general. Great guy!

Dr. Kieff is not a doctor that I would recommend. He did the bare minimum, rudely. In the recovery room after the procedure he did on my husband he acted inconveniced that I asked him questions about follow up and aftercare. He did not spend more than 5 minutes with us. My husband was under Anastasia and asked the same question three times and the doctor rolled his eyes and gave an mocking laugh. 3 months later we called with a concern and he suggested we keep doing nothing.

I was admittedly 8 mins late for my first appt with this doctor. They cked and said they would see me, I was within their 10 min time limit. They took me to an exam room. I waited for over an hour.Not 1 person came to see or ck on me. I went looking for a nurse or someone. The nurse said it was such a long wait because I was late. She was rude and said it would be another 1/2 hour. It was an hour before I saw the Doc, he was arrogant and twice as rude. I would advise anyone to find a diff Doctor

If selecting a doctor for a colonoscopy, Dr. Kieff would be fine. If you have IBD (Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis), you will want a doctor who will do his best to save your colon and keep current with the latest advances in treating autoimmune diseases. He's a big fan of colectomy as a cure when it only removes the immune system's misguided target. Rather than listen to or examine his patient, Dr. Kieff was quick to whip out a prescription pad missing a fistula. You can do better.

Dr. Kieff & his staff were very professional, & took time to listen to me and what is going on, he recommended several options to try.

I've seen Dr.Kieff for 3 years for a condition that wakes me up at 3am from a sound sleep. It starts with sweating out towels, puke severely and awful diarrhea. This goes on for 3 hours. After it ends, I have to stay on the couch with blankets because I can't get warm for hours. This happens 10 days (minimum) of every month. I was back in his office 2 weeks ago and was told to see his understudy Luke who told me I don't have IBS w/D. yesterday his nurse never called to order my new Meds. Ugh!

Dr. Kieff knew that I had recently had surgery and was on opioids. He yelled at me after the colonoscopy that it was a dirty colonoscopy but I was ok. He would repeat in three years. He was concerned about my inability to swallow and said if it continued to call and he would get me in for a endoscopy. He schedulers were lax to the extreme rude and by the time my appointment came up I had to cancel it because I had dropped over thirty pounds. Office staff does not know who pays them rude rude.

Dr. Kieff was my third colonoscopy doctor and by far the best. He and his nurses were attentive, professional and sensitive to my comfort. It was a pleasant and painless experience and I will have no hesitancy about going back to him in the future.
