I shadowed Dr. Bernstein, so I had the opportunity to view him actively practice across many patients and the experience that I had with Dr. Bernstein was nothing close to the other review of Dr. Bernstein. My first patient with Dr. B was born to a Spanish speaking only family and he went out of his way to speak Spanish, his second language, and gave full unbiased professionally sound advice to the parents regarding vaccination and other questions that they had. Across all of the patients that I saw with Dr. B that day, he was receptive to the parents questions and provided thoughtful answers with his professional opinion but did not seem to ever actively force those opinions on the parents. Dr. B did have a very clean-cut personality, which may be why the other reviewer mentioned he was rough but he knows what he is doing, and I find it hard to believe that he could have been SO rough with the child as the poster claims. Wouldnt even give him 1 star. He is horrible. I took my daughter to him and he was very rude to me and my daughter. He told us to find another doctor. She wasnt feeling well and we werent sure what was wrong. He asked me what he wanted me to do?? Um, assess her? Blood work maybe? He just left the room and thats when he told me to find another doctor. If you want your child to get the care they need, DO NOT take them to him. I highly recommend you never take a child to him.
