Dr. Barry Rozantine

First of all, let me say it is very hard to gather the strength to even reach out to call a psychologist or counselor when you're going through something sensitive or difficult in your life. It takes strength and vulnerability. I was first met on the phone by a woman who was nice enough then put on hold which was fine. I had asked to make an appointment with Dr. Gayle after reading about her specialty online. I was then abruptly met with a person on the phone who said "this is Sue," In a very rude kind of angry tone. (Who even is this Sue person? Is Gayle also Sue? I don't know.) I answered and said I was trying to make an appt with Gayle. She said ok was this my first appointment but was very rude and hasty. The whole thing made me uncomfortable and I told her you don't sound very friendly so I don't feel comfortable making an appointment. She kind of snarled back in a hateful/smart tone like "well call back when you're serious," and hung up. Wow ok. No thanks. To be a counselor or psychologist I would say they're poorly lacking in the empathy/compassion department, at least the person who answers their phones is. When a person is reaching out for the first time for help they should be met on the phone initially with kindness and compassion especially if you specialize in abuse. I understand very well through trauma there are manipulative people out there and you have to be discerning not overly nice but there is absolutely no need to be completely rude, especially to a first time caller looking for info and possibly an appointment. Patients must also be discerning with who they decide to have as their therapist. Go with your intuition. Excellent physician with friendly and courteous office staff. I always feel welcome and that my condition is important. Appointments with 'Dr Barry' are on time and my health concerns are handled efficiently and kindly by both the doctor and his staff.

Dr. Rozantine is a very good doctor. The support staff at the Center for Health and Well Being, however, is dismissive and rude, bordering on being verbally abusive. Treatment by the support staff is unacceptable. Phone calls are not returned, appointments are not set when asked to be set and there is a general lack of concern or courtesy.

My experience wasn't great. The dr is very strange. He was more interested is asking me factual questions about my background than questions about my mood. The whole vibe of this place is off. And the lady at the front is very rude! She scoffed at me when I asked for help obtaining preapproval for a rx (which isn't right bc A LOT of meds for mood disorders require it, so isn't shouldn't be treated like SUCH an inconvenience. I even told her I was willing to pay the $25 fee.) I've switched drs!

Online it says that he specializes in the treatment of children. I can't tell. My 9 year old there for her first visit changed the station of the TV in the lobby (no sign saying not to do that btw) and he comes out and starts yelling at her in a very intimidating way. Seriously? You're going to berate a 9 year old who is there to be treated for emotional problems? How does that help build a relationship with your patient? And since when is public humiliation an acceptable way to talk to anyone of any age. I didn't say anything at first because I thought the poor guy was a patient with a mental problem. But when I realized that was the doctor she was supposed to see, I went straight to the desk to get my money back and high tailed it out of there. Relaxed caring environment. Doctor is very intuitive and sharp.staff is efficient and Friendly highly recommend!.

Dr. Rosantine is the guy I see. Real personable and he remembers details like career, family life, random issues, things like that. Good place.

Dr. Rozentine was my careing, upbeat responsible Doctor for over 10 years here in Savannah, GA. I am having a horrible time finding a Doctor that isn't clicking a way on thier computer instead of making eye contact and listening. I really miss you. I hope you and your family are doing great.

Dr Rosentine is very impressive in his experience, knowledge, and wisdom in his field. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a little help navigating and dealing with this complicated world we live in...

I see both Dr Rozantine's who practice at the same office. The staff is very accommodating in scheduling both of my appointments for the same day and graciously helped me deal with my insurance company who initially would not pay my claims. Both Dr Rozantine's were kind and understanding in helping me through my current problems. I always leave the office feeling 100% better than when I arrived. I would wholeheartedly recommend this office to anyone in need of help - no complaints whatsoever!
