Dr. Barbara S Carlson

Saw Dr Carlson as a teenager in the 90s. I donated blood at my high school and came back with a false positive for hep C antibodies and Dr Carlson tried to tell my mother that I contracted through sexual transmission as well as openly accusing me of “probably” having other STIs. As a 16 year old extremely tall and chubby AND nerdy virgin who had never even been on a date I was completely mortified that I had to discuss AND dispute this. Ended up actually having mono diagnosed by a specialist that was making the rounds through the high school. Mother wrote a letter to complain about her. And to this day I have a problem trusting doctors, so that’s cool.

Dr. Carlson is an outstanding Family Medicine Doctor. Dedicated to high quality care, passionate about serving her patients with due diligence and comforting understanding.

Dr. Carlson has been my doctor for many years, she has an excellent bedside manner, she is caring and she answers all your questions that you may have. You would never feel rushed or uncomfortable around her. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor. Definitely an asset to Lakeland.

This was my first visit and I was very satisfied. It does take time to develop the patient/doctor relationship and have confidence that there will be 0 issues with that.
