I was in Henry Ford Wyandotte with a severe blood infection and dehydration (I also have terminal leukemia). When my past GI doctor decided not to bother showing his face in the hospital, HFW called in Dr Malik...thank God. Other doctors were pushing me for surgical options and Dr Malik arrived at the last minute to put a stop to an apparent needless procedure, convinced others the surgery wouldn't correct root cause. Dr Malik might be a little rough around the edges, based on other posts written here as well, but when I needed sound advice, he was there....and the right advice. I have never experienced a more unprofessional, rude nasty Dr like this this so called dr. He should not be practicing on people. I wound not even take an animal to him. I also reported him to both Henry Ford and our health plan.

I called to make an appointment. The receptionist was rude. She didn't know what she was talking about. She kept on insisting that my insurance plan was called something else. She refused to schedule me. Looks like I dodge a bullet.

Absolutely horrible. The place is weird and dirty, staff is rude, and the doctor is unprofessional and does not care about you. He looked me in the eyes and told me “you’re too young to have stomach issues.” And told me he won’t run tests and will not prescribe any medicine for my pain. I now go to Endoscopic solutions in Livonia, the Dr has already run tests and is prescribing me medicine. DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE. Absolutely horrible. Needs to put his staff in check , I was called and approach in a unprossional manner, I was told I have bad credit because of a past due copay of $25, I stop her in her tracks, if your staff can not call me correctly, this reflexes on you Dr. Now tell me how could this call could have been made in a more respectful way. Give respect GET RESPECT. I need a apology, so I can respectfully pay the bill, and continue to hold you in hi regard, you r a good Dr. Don't let your staff talk to people any kind of way. Was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. New patient. He was in the room with me for maybe 5 minutes. He didn’t want to listen to me. Kept cutting me off. I didn’t get to explain 1/4 of my symptoms/my situation. After trying to explain repeatedly and getting shut down, I just wanted to go. Which was perfect bc he did too. I didn’t get to ask questions. I left feeling upset and worse than before the appt. I wouldn’t recommend it his dr to anyone who wants to have a discussion about their issues.

Worst place every. Safe your time go elsewhere.

Good doctor

Showed up at Henry Ford in Wyandotte to a scope on me and asked me what he was doing. I tried to explain and there was confusion, and he then relented and said he needs to look at my chart. What... Called to schedule a follow-up appointment (as directed by the hospital) and received condescension over the type of insurance I had. Scheduled an appointment and when I showed up the office was close for the entire day... confirmed by their voiemail when I called the office number. Do not recommend.

Went to him on a referral from family doctor. He did find the problem...a tumor in the pancreas. Sent me to Henry Ford for a biopsy. Results inclusive. Sent me for another biopsy. I was assured from Henry Ford that they would contact me, but to follow up with Mr. Malik. 1 week, no information. Dr. Malik reschedules appointment 1 week later. I arrive and he knows nothing, is calling the doctor who did the biopsy. He finally said to me, I am not the doctor for you!!!

Diagnosed me with Crohns Disease in 2009 st Henry Ford Wyandotte hospital. Saw multiple other gastrointestinal doctors,(including U of M) for second opinions. I soon learned that he was the right doctor for me. I'm currently in remission, thanks to Dr.Malik! I highly recommend him to anybody with any gastrointestinal problems.
