Dr. B Todd Schaeffer

I went in for a rhinoplasty and septum straightening. Dr Schaeffer did a terrible job. I now have an open roof deformity which means the bones on the bridge of my nose are separated. He then did a revision It looks worse than it did before. It actually looks deformed. I have been told by other ents as well as a plastic surgeon to leave it alone as further revision surgery could create more scar tissue. I now have to have an extremely unsightly nose for the rest of my life. Every morning when I look in the mirror I feel awful. I can’t believe he is still practicing.

Dr Schaeffer was professional, calm, and gentle . He was not rushed and took time to explain and answer all my questions. In addition i received a copy of my exam as well as a plan of care which is so helpful . Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Wait time was minimal . i was very pleased with my care, Dr Schaeffer and my visit , and will hesitate to reccomend him to others

I never leave reviews for doctors, but he was so unpleasant that I had to say something. I made an appointment with him back in July 2021 for some ongoing tinnitus issues. I was the last appointment of the day and the only person left in the office, other than some admin staff and the doctor himself. He was late and had me waiting in the room for 30 minutes (it was already a 7pm appointment...). I asked a general question about tinnitus and he replied, "How am I supposed to know? I just met you." Aren't you supposed to be able to answer a general question regarding your specialty? He wanted me to come back to do a hearing test but I never made the appointment because I didn't want another rude and condescending encounter. If you need an ENT Jay Rechtweg also from ENT Allergy & Associates is super nice and a pleasure to deal with. I do not recommend Dr. Todd Schaeffer. I have seen this Doctor several times. I have always got sinus relief from every visit. I have taken my son and also glowing reviews .

Provider was friendly, took the time to listen and ask questions and was very knowledgeable

I was very satisfied with my experience. They honored social distancing and had air purifiers in most spaces. I love that I was sent home with a care plan.

Dr. Schaeffer was so kind and figured out why I wasn't feeling well right away. He doesn't make you more nervous, he is patient and explains whats going on and I am already on the road to feeling better. I am happy I found such a good physician.

I see by all of the available posts that Dr. Schaeffer is a very skilled and knowledgeable doctor. I am happy that he was able to help his patients. This must obviously for his adult patients. My husband brought our soon to be 5 year old grandson. Not only was he rude to my husband but his attitude and the way he spoke to my grandson who was extremely upset by the whole ordeal (very bad wax build up), was unacceptable. Unless Dr. Schaeffer was just having a bad day, why does he even bother seeing pediatric patients. Will certainly NOT be going back to him. I got the septoplasty and turbinate reduction under local anesthesia and it went real well! No pain at all! I can breath so much better now and I’m so happy I did it. Thanks again Dr. Schaeffer!

I found Dr. Schaeffer online while I was learning about my medical condition (nasal polyps requiring endoscopic sinus surgery) where he published several Youtube videos showing many of the related medical procedures he had previously performed. I found them informative/comforting to view and helped me understand my condition. I had consulted with 3 local to me ENTs before selecting him. He has at least 35 years of ENT experience, offers several advanced procedures that many of my local ENTs do not offer, has OUTSTANDING in-office and telemedicine appointment availability, excellent ”chair-side/bedside manner“, answers all of my questions, is congenial and professional, and his office staff is professional and friendly. I am very happy with the results of my surgery and ongoing care. For these reasons he has been my ENT Dr. for more than 4 years and why I continue to drive 4 1/2 hours to see him for my ongoing post-surgery follow-ups and monitoring. I highly recommend this ENT Dr.

I had a problem with impacted wax & Dr Schafer expertly removed it.I will reccomend him to any friends that need an ENT.

I found the practice to be wonderful. The greeting and check-in process was terrific. I was seen on time without any undue wait. Dr. Schaeffer was outstanding: knowledgeable, informative and comprehensive with his exam. A complete pleasure in every way.

Absolutely amazing! I can’t get over how well the procedure went and how much better I’m feeling. I had very bad congestion for about 10 years. I would go through a tissue box every day, constantly blowing my nose, unable to breathe though my nose most of the time, and had chronic sinus infections. I originally thought it was due to severe allergies but after Dr. Schaeffer did a cat scan and revealed I had an entire sinus blocked and a deviated septum, he recommended doing an in-office procedure to fix the issue. I’m so glad I did, I can now breathe with no problems and no congestion. The healing process was also very easy; I was able to sit at my computer practically the same day! I was really surprised, the procedure was so effortless for me I would do it again if I had too. Thank you again Dr. Schaeffer! Absolutely amazing! Dr Schaefer is an expert a real pro in his field. He explains every detail of his diagnosis and cure. The office is run like a fine machine including the latest medical equipment

The one star is for the office staff. I don't have any comment for the doctor since I never met him. However, it is important to know that when you make an appointment you may wait for hours. When I arrived for my appointment, a 1/2 hour early, no one informed me that the doctor was not even in the office yet and that his patients wiht earlier appointments have been waiting over two hours already. It wasn't until, after 45 minutes, that I over heard another's conversation with the receptionist that the doctor was not in the office yet. I'm just wondering why no one thought that this was important to tell me when I checked in or even called to reschedule before I left work early to make my appointment. My time, I'm sure your time, is valuable and it is disrespectful of this doctor's staff to think that his patients have all day to wait to see him. They showed no consideration for his patients. The doctor should know this about his staff. If this is how he trains his staff, then it says something about him as well. The one star is for the office staff. Last week I had a deviated septum and sinus balloon dilation surgery both done at the same time in office while awake .Dr Schaffer made the surgery much easier than I thought.I felt really comfortable during and after the surgery.No bleeding after surgery,and minimum pain. For many years I suffered with colds, sinus,headaches all the time .Now for the first time I can finally breathe through my nose and have better sleep at night . I found Dr. Schaeffer to be an exceptionally skilled doctor when I was faced with an emergency situation with my mom. She had a hearing aid mold done at some local hearing aid center when the mold material actually got stuck in my mom's ear canal. I rushed her to the ER without success. They worked on her for over an hour and couldn't get it out because it got lodged so far back and broke into so many pieces. I made an appt. with Dr. Schaeffer the next day and he was so skilled in getting the material out. Being that my mom is 88 years old, we wanted to avoid surgery if possible and with this skilled and patient doctor, everything turned out great. I highly recommend this doctor. I am a 43y.o male & I had abnormally large tonsils & a deviated septum. Chronic sinus infections & migraines, restless legs, tension headaches along with Obstructive sleep apnea from the large tonsils have plagued me my entire adult life. From the moment we entered Dr. Schaeffer's office we were greeted by the staff in a warm professional manner. We were taken immediately and met with Dr. Schaeffer. Dr. Schaeffer's office is well run.I was able to get an urgent appointment almost immediately. The wait time to see the physician was approximately 10-15 minutes and I believe this is an average wait time.Dr. Schaeffer himself is a very pleasant man, he has a wonderful bedside manner. He makes it a point to listen to your questions and answers them with honesty. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Schaeffer to be by ENT as he has exceeded my expectations.
