Amazing and extremely intelligent doctor! He was highly recommended and we were so thankful to have found him. He is a true genius!

I have been seeing Dr Shaibani for almost two years for Myasthenia Gravis. He has helped me tremendously in getting me back to a near normal life. I can't thank him and his staff enough for the help and care received so far.

Doctor Shaibani was great, but the receptionist did not greet me nor did she have a good personality.

He was excellent and thorough!

Dr. Shaibani was very personable. In my 1st visit with him today he seemed very knowledgeable about my issue and made his recommendations for my care. I was comfortable with him at all times. His office staff was professional and considerate. I would recommend him to others.

Wow, Dr. Shaibani and his staff are amazing. Husan, I think he was a tech, was really kind and so patient with my daughter. She had lots of anxiety about the tests and it could t have gone any smoother. Dr. Shaibani was thorough and we felt heard and that The doc cared about a solution for my daughters ongoing episodes. I'm sharing because Shaibani is not the best choice for a doctor. I'm really disappointed in my choice as he was used by Dr Shah and Dr Tran my past neurologist. He confirmed the first time that I had CIDP. The 2nd time he diagnosed ALS for me on June 2nd. He told me and my daughter and son in law. He said that they could give vitamins and riluzole to slow progression. Did he advise or prescrbe that.....no.....he did nothing but promote his study he was starting. Set an appointment for the 8th of June. The person in charge Shantay called to cancel and said they weren't ready for the study. I called a week later they said it would be ready that Friday. I never heard from Shaibani again until the 7th of August. No treatment, no nothing from Shaibani until then. On July 20th I saw Dr. Appel. Now he is a professional and caring doctor. He started my treatment immediately. Riluzole and it has slowed down the progression of the ALS. Had Shaibani did a mediocre job of taking care of me I probably would have still been able to stand and have use of my right arm. My opinion is Shaibani is a piss poor doctor. Dr. Shaibani has saved my life...the first appt. I had was on 4/26/2017...and on that date he knew something was wrong with me! He performed a muscle biopsy and I found out I have Muscular Dystrophy type Bethlam Myopathy...it was congenital and I knew something was wrong with me all my life and he helped with that!! I am Dr.Aziz patient for almost 2 years for myasthenia gravis. He knows this problem thoroughly well. He treated me so well to bring my life back to near normal. I really appreciate his method of treatment.

I went to him at this time muy leg was as stiff as a board and purple. I didnt know i was going to to emg which he did wrong first i was loaded with medication in me just to make it up there which throw the results off and didn't lay me flat and din one spot on my leg, and one on my arm. Was told i didnt have diagnosis and nothing was wrong with me he left after i desperately asked for hos help and said he'd call my doc i litterally was sucidal that day i was escorted by his assistant most horrible experience every had with doctor dont see him

Drove 2 hours to visit this specialist for my wife. They get you into the room quickly. Total time of visit a little over 45 minutes. Total time Dr. Shaibani spoke 4 minutes. I asked about medications, symptoms, showed video evidence of weakness, shaking, and difficulty walking (Dr. seemed unimpressed by either video) Performed EMG nerve conductivity test on her lower legs (seemed as if he was going through the motions) did not talk or explain anything. Did not tell my wife when he stabbed her multiple times to check the muscle conductivity. Wanted to do a DNA/Genetics test that will take 6 plus weeks to return (reviews of that 3rd party testing company are HORRIBLE by the way) and we could come back for the results or he could forward to our local neurologist. Nurse/Assistant came in to draw blood. Placed pillow under my wife's arms and told her to hold still. She attempted to draw blood from BOTH arms with no luck and tried a 3rd time in the wrist area, Hopefully they got enough of a blood sample. We heard MANY great things about Dr. Shaibani and typically I give the benefit of doubt, but overall experience was lackluster to say the least. Had to log in to the patient portal to find the diagnosis code and google it. Ten days after my wife's visit had not provided EMG or nerve conduction test to referring Doctor. This was our first visit, and I really appreciate the time he took with us. He explained his current condition and answered all of our questions. He provided an outline of the next steps let's hope he gets us back on the right track.

I read a couple negative reviews on here about Dr. Shaibani and it made me nervous to go. However I was so happy with his bedside manner and how comforting he was during my muscle biopsy. I didn’t feel at all like he was only there for the paycheck not one bit. He seems to know exactly what he needs to and have a great knowledge of his profession. When he would get quiet after asking me questions you could almost see the wheels turning. Today he talked to me through the whole procedure for my muscle biopsy and was quick to tell me it was gonna be ok and that I was doing great. Even though I knew I was a wreck lol. He was a great doctor for me and I’m grateful I was able to find him. I definitely recommend him. Don’t take him being quiet as rude. I saw another neurologist who put me through numerous blood tests, MRI, biopsy and could not figure out what was wrong with me. I went to Dr. Shaibani and in 15 minutes he gave me a diagnosis. I did ONE blood test to confirm this. So great to know there are doctors who know what they are doing and can give results. Excellent!

I was not impressed at all. Horrible experience. He got angry at logical questions from me. He told my referring doctor that I was rude to him when in fact he was cocky and rude right off the bat. I only seen him twice and will never go back. He even lied on my records stating that I asked him to write my LTD insurance company a letter stating that I had ALS. I had other people with me on both visits that will testify that I did not. His EMG test showed NO ALS and he told me that I didn't have it. Now just over one year later, I was diagnosed with it. Save Your Money, Don't Waste it here.

Dr Shaibani has been my doctor for 3 years. I have Myasthenia Gravis and Dr Shaibani has made my life better than I thought it would be in this period. Within only a few months he had my symptoms under control and today I am almost back to 100% and he has monitored my case closely, advising what meds or preventive shots I can or cannot take. He is now reducing my treatment to get back to as close to normal as possible. He responds to my emails in a very timely manner.

This is a compassionate and caring physician who is obviously quite attentive in developing information and in communication with his patient as he develops his diagnosis of the patient’s problems and condition.

Unless you enjoy pain, never let this man do a muscle biopsy on you. He did not allow the numbing medicine to sit in before he started cutting on me. No pain meds, no anesthesia and was offended that I cried. I am a female, 120 pounds you put a 3 inch cut on my arm through the muscle, Yes I am going to cry and yes it hurts!!! I warned him before he started of a recent experience that I had and told him I did not want to go through that much pain again and he did not care. He has ruined me for all doctors now because I will never let another doctor do an in office procedure where cutting is involved again!!! Dr. Shaibani has done an excellent job of managing my husband’s autoimmune disease. He is great about returning phone calls if we have a concern. He sometimes makes us feel he is rushing through the appointment, but that is a small thing. His staff is friendly and efficient, and wait times are short.

Eight doctors and two unnecessary surgeries later, I finally found Dr Shaibani who diagnosed me correctly! My wife and I are forever grateful that he was willing to see me on such short notice. Dr. Shaibani said we would know that day what was wrong, and he was right! He is a great and caring Doctor that we recommend highly!

Dr. Shaibani has done a very good job of managing my husband’s Myasthenia Gravis over the past 4 years. His bedside manner is warmer than our first few visits, but I trust him and appreciate his prompt response to telephone calls when we are experiencing a problem

Dr Shaibani diagnosed my husband on his very first visit to Houston. He has a rare muscle disease (LEMS). Dr Shaibani has been on time with all his visits and the staff is alway so kind. He always takes time to answer any question we have about LEMS and the treatment. My husband had a concern on a weekend and he email to ask Dr Shaibani about it and he responded to his email within 20 minutes of him sending it. Horrible experience with this doctor when he did a muscle biopsy for me with no pain meds, sedation and no time for the numbing medicine to kick in. He is offended by people that feel pain and he takes it out on the patient. I recommend no one to see him, but consider yourself warned if you decide to. No bedside manner at all and the staff is just as bad as they would not document my pain complaints after the procedure.

Dr Shaibani was able to diagnose what was wrong that day! I had been to eight other doctors and had two surgeries that were not needed, before finally getting here and finding out what was wrong! Thank you so much Dr. Shaibani!

My husband has been seeing Dr. Shaibani for only a little over a month. During the first 5 weeks, he has had 3 appointments. Dr. Shaibani has always been professional, extremely knowledgeable, and focused on my husband's problems immediately. His staff is friendly, helpful, and patient! We feel very fortunate that my husband was referred to Dr. Shaibani by another excellent neurologist!

Office staff is easy to work with and quick to deliver any service needed. Dr. Shaibani is truly an exceptional man. He reminds me of a young Omar Sharif. It is obvious that his familiarity with the maladies of the neuromuscular systems is second to none. I will always be glad that we met.

I was having problems with optical myasthenia gravis. Dr. Shaibani has been able to help me with advice and a list of what medicines to avoid for my other doctors to follow. He is easy to talk to and takes time for all your questions.

My mom’s first visit to see Dr. Shaibani was in August 2017, she has a muscle disease that crippled her. After testing, we were told it is treatable! Dr. Shaibani and his staff have been excellent to her! We see him once a month for treatment since October 2017.... And he got my mom back walking again, she has her independance. I can’t explain the joy I feel when I see my mom walking again! Thanks so much DR. SHAIBANI -priceless!!!

Dr. Shaibani understood my condition which had stumped several other doctors I had consulted. He has treated me well for several years. I have great confidence in him.

Dr Aziz Shaibani treated me for Myasthenia Gravis. He was very caring and so was his office staff. I went to him 4 years ago I could not see, breath or swallow. He did everything stat to save my life without him I would not be alive today. My doctor in Port Arthur Tx took me off all my medicine in 2 months I was worst then when I was first treated. I could not ask for a better doctor then Dr. Aziz Shaibani. Everyone I know that has MG are still having problems and I have been released.
