Dr. Azedine Medhkour

I wish I would have read the reviews before going to see him. You can see the pattern emerging here. He will only look at 3 things: Age, Height, Weight. What's worse is that he tried to argue that exercise has nothing to do with losing weight. He told me I needed to lose 80 pounds which is physically impossible for me. I was entertained at that point so I just asked him if he knew anything about percentage of body fat because if I lost 40 pounds I would have a 6 pack again. I gained 30 pounds because of the back condition and not the other way around. Based on my appointment and what I'm reading I think there is something mentally wrong with this guy. He kept telling me that I shouldn't take medicine and I should do what I already did before I went to see him (which I repeatedly explained). Finally I asked him what his surgical solution was and he stated the same exact surgery I had a year ago... He couldn't not mentally come up with the correct structural solution past the weight.

I highly recommend Dr. A. Medhkour and all doctors at the surgery center at the U of T Medical Center. He is thorough, kind and skilled. My husband and I willsee them and do ll tests there from now on. Pat Daly

I was NOT happy with him. I have back problems and need surgery. He won't help me unless I lost quit a bit of weight in 2 months and In the process of telling me to loss weight he turned to my husband and he needs to loss weight also. My husband wasn't the one seeing the doctor. He was rude to myself and to my husband. I will NOT go back to this doctor.

This doctor is very rude and does Not listn to the patient!!!! I would not recommend him.

When I was 1st referred to Dr Medhkour for my back issues, I had my mom thoroughly check him out. His credentials n reviews about previous surgeries were so good that I decided to go for my appt. I liked him instantly. He told me that he didn't like to do surgery right away n usually refers his patients to therapy or pain mgmt 1st. However, after seeing my MRI, he said I needed the surgery immediately or I could become crippled. He also did my 2nd surgey a few weeks ago. No issues at all after.

Disrespectful doctor. Talks over the patient and is not concerned for you. I will never see him AGAIN.

I found Dr. MEdhkour to be too layer back and not take enough of a history. Stated brain cavities were to big for age without explanation. Didn't order further studies I felt would help in understanding numerous symptoms. Got the see you back in 6 months. Initial appointment was 15 minutes which is not enough time with a new suffering patient. His PA lacked some basic terminology of the brain when reviewing MRI. Frustrated. Going for a second opinion.
