Wish I could put 0 stars A few years ago my mom was referred here for skin cancer from another derm... they said she did not need a consult they just needed the pathology... this was in june..they gave a apt for September & assured me she would be fine w no consult & waiting that long. The lump on her arm was huge. When we finally went 4 our apt dr Aza Lefkowitz came in and flipped out saying he does not treat her type of cancer & yelling at me for not being more on top of it .. he yelled & ignored me when I said I had asked his office if a consult was required. He told the nurse to "mark it as a consult" so he'd still get paid & then walked out ignoring My heartbroken mom. This doctor us a loser. & I've been waiting for years to find his name & write this review. ****** Wonderful Mohs specialist ***** recently visited his office in Manhattan for my Mohs Surgery and he did an excellent job on my forehead without leaving any scar, also his stall was very friendly and cooperative, I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family members as well.

Dr Lefkowitz has been a fantastic Mohs surgeon. He has been a great surgeon for us for years.

Had three Moh's procedures with Dr. all three was not told to stop taking 82mg aspirin. On last procedure took my medications with 82 mg aspirin less than half hour before procedure. This resulted in 40 minutes of plastic surgeon cauterizing blood vesicles. developed hematomas and infection that took about 2 months to clear up. All this time I was wearing bandage on left side of face. The only good thing about process is that area healed quite well without need for graft.

I had a 9AM appointment for MOHs surgery with Doctor Lefkowitz by 9:45 AM the doctor had still not arrived at the office to start with his scheduled appointments. His staff while polite were unhelpful in explaining why the doctor had not started on time. I left without having my surgery performed. I lost my trust in a doctor that had so little respect for my time. The waiting room was also very small and crowded with people. It was not a place to comfortably wait during a long MOHs procedure.
