Dr. McPhilamy is an excellent surgeon and also cares about his patients. He listed to me and addressed all of my questions and concerns with compassion and professional excellence!

An hour late for the appointment, didn't even bother to check my broken arm or take it out of the brace. Just asked if I had any questions, sent me on my way, and charged me for surgery. Absolutely would not return. You're better off finding a doctor who actually provides care

Always takes time to answer questions and concerns. I have a really intense and complex injury and it would've been a hundred times worse to deal with my current situation with a doctor who doesn't give that sense of caring. I'm fortunate to say that he's been a real pleasure to work with. Highly recommend him for the job.

Doctor was great at explaining and listening. Answered every question without any attitude.

Follow up after being hit by a car.

Very professional. Very thorough. Completely satisfied with the experience.

The doctor was very thorough in explaining everything that will be happening and including me and including me in the decision making process as well as making sure all of my questions are answered and I'm comfortable with the upcoming procedure. I saw Dr. McPhilamy the last week of June and my surgery was scheduled. I spoke to his scheduler several times over the next few week, asking if everything had been done. My surgery was scheduled for tomorrow 7/30. Today at 11:00 am she advised me that she had not received a pre auth. I co contacted my insurance and was told they just received it today. Surgery cancelled. I will not be going back

Dr. Mcphilamey is a very nice caring person. Listens to what you have to say, good bed side manners. I most certainly would recommend Dr.Mcphilamey to anyone after the accident I was in, shattered my femur into 15 pieces, he told me at one point he might have to amputate it, but he saved my leg,/femur after 13 surgeries. I've had him as my surgeon from Dec.2016-July 2020. He did such a great job saved me from having to go to UofM for a trauma orthopedic surgeon. Only had to have 1 surgery down there. He's been a wonderful surgeon, would definitely recommend him to everyone. He will be missed in Northern Michigan!!

I just found out that my knee is now 5/8” longer than my other knee after knee replacement. That’s more than an orthotic can handle. I now limp significantly & had I known this prior to surgery, I probably would have thought long & hard about having this surgery at all. I’m in more pain in my lower back & hip than the knee pain I had pre op.

I had a total anterior hip replacement and this is the way to go. I've had both hips replaced and recovery appears that it will come along faster. I remember my first surgery my whole leg was bruise from hip to toe. This surgery not even a hint of bruising. Thank you Dr. McPhilamy to you and the staff at Baystreet Orthopedics. I will recommend you and the anterior procedure to everyone.

Dr. McPhilamy is an honest, straightforward and extremely knowledgeable surgeon. His skill is a true work of art. Trust him with your questions and concerns and let him guide you in the best direction possible. You will not be disappointed. He is definitely someone you should trust with your life and recovery. I was in a horrific near fatal accident in Northern Michigan and am fully healed because of him. There is no one I would’ve rather had operate on me! Thank you Dr., you’re a godsend!

Always in a hurry, doesn't listen to what I have to say as the patient. Gets aggravated very quickly, I leave in tears after every visit.
