Just had my 2nd PRP Injection into left shoulder tendons (damage caused by truck rear-ending my Rav4 at highway speeds. Both vehicles totaled). My results were amazing after first injection. Pain reduced substantially, and no longer waking me every 2 hours. I had out up with the pain for 5 months. Prefer this to surgery or months of trying to recover. Hoping for even more amazing results after this round! Thank you Dr Gupta and team! Highly recommend!

I refused Dr Gupta's treatment and went elsewhere. He didn't respond to multiple messages via the clinic portal until another Dr asked him too after I complained. He accepted a diagnosis a physical therapist gave me that I told him about. Said the film on file from various xrays were poor but declined to order better ones. He wanted to do Tenex and then said the follow up would be thousands if needed. I went elsewhere where multiple new X-rays were taken even though I brought the previous MRI or Scan. New Dr said that he felt my shoulder pain was not caused by injured rotator cuff but from a previous clavicle injury...and then I recalled a fall three years ago where I didn't think I was injured. After an injection, I was 90% pain free.

Dr. Gupta is awesome! I had hip pain for over a year that I thought I would just have to live with. I got a referral to Dr. Gupta and subsequently a PRP injection. The injection itself was not fun but Dr. Gupta, the procedure nurse and the tech made it bearable. Six weeks later with physical therapy my hip is stronger and I have no pain. I had a problem already effectively treated by a Physical therapist. But this doctor insisted that my problem was something else. No good to me.

I suffered for five months due to an injured shoulder. An MRI showed three rotator cuff tears. Dr. Gupta checked my range of motion and immediately diagnosed frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis). The muscle tears, while present, were not the source of my pain or limited movement. He used ultrasound for a very well-aimed cortical steroid injection and my pain was reduced by 90%. I have most of my range of motion back. We met last week and he suggested that we try a platelet-rich plasma injection (PRP) using my own blood, spun down to plasma and reinjected into the site. If successful, it will save me from multiple steroid injections to keep this under control. There is no apparent downside. I have to wait until my steroid shot wears off and the pain returns in order to measure the degree of success. I write this because I've found another outstanding young doctor at Virginia Mason. He communicates well and is advancing the science of physiatry. He came highly-recommended and he is difficult to schedule. He is well worth the wait. I've been working with Dr. Gupta for several months on recovery from a foot and leg injury plus other random issues like tendonitis and muscle strain. My primary care provider said he likes working with Dr. Gupta because he treats the whole patient, not just the specific issue site. It's true. I was immediately impressed to see how present he is, especially since I'm sure he has an intense schedule. He has never rushed me, and he always listens while assessing all elements. It's amazing to see just how thorough he is in what he captures in his visit summary notes posted in MyVM. I suffered with shoulder pain for a number of years. My sleep was seriously interrupted every night. I was unable to work in my shop. Because I have glaucoma I cannot take steroids. Dr. Gupta used a PRP injection. In about four weeks I was pain free. I have continued to be pain free and happily working in my shop. You can't go wrong with a decision to seek help from Dr. Gupta. After limping around for 2 months with terrible hip pain, I acted on a recommendation from my Rheumatologist (Dr. Amish Dave, another great doc). With a very thorough diagnostic exam, which included listening to my inept description of my pain, and an ultra sound, Dr Gupta found my issue to be two fold; each problem exacerbating the other. I had a small tissue tear in my IT band as well as sciatic irritation...at this time I wasn't even complaining about the 15years of pain in my knee. After trying 8 weeks of physical therapy with very little forward progress, we decided to try PRP-PLASMA RICH PROTEIN treatment in the IT tissue. It was a very easy procedure, with some site pain during the injection, but nothing unbearable. Within 2 weeks, the pain of the tear was 50% less and by the 6 week follow up I was walking normally and had only 10% pain left. Now, 6 months later, that pain is gone. We treated the sciatic pain with a steroid shot that was immediately effective! I am walking again! With such positive results, Dr Gupta and I decided to attack that persistent (15 years +) arthritic knee pain with the PRP. I love this guy, I’ve had hip pain on one side for nearly 3 years, I’m 63 and don’t have your typical arthritis, physical therapy for a year wasn’t any relief. PRP therapy was suggested which Dr Gupta performed, and 2 shots later I feel like I could have my life back. This doctor is giving me back my life. Dr Gupta was amazing to work with.I had pain for 2 months in my right elbow prior to seeing him .I was told it was just tendinitis and to wear a brace . On my first visit my symptoms were taken under consideration and an ultrasound was done . A torn tendon and ligament was found After a MRI was done I had a confirmation. Dr Gupta recommend plasma injection .Which I responded to very well and 12 weeks later I feel 98 percent better and ready to start getting stronger and back to normal activities. I was suffering from arthritis in both my thumbs making everyday activities very painful. I've played guitar for years but the pain made playing impossible much to my dismay. Dr. Gupta used prp therapy and injected both thumbs. Within a month the pain subsided and eventually my thumbs were 99% pain free. Now I'm playing my guitar again all the time.
