Dr. Asya Segalene

Dr. Segalene is one of the kindest people I have ever met. She is great for those with allergy testing anxiety. I get really fearful when I test, and she always has someone stay with me and talk to me the whole time. They are so attentive here and wonderful, and I really can’t recommend a place more.

I have been coming here for about 6 months now. Transferred from another local office. I am so Happy to have found Dr Asya. She’s very caring and I can same the same about her staff. The hours for shots are perfect too.

I have being seeing Dr. Segaline for about 20 years. She is a fantastic Dr who listens to patients, provides practical recommendations and takes the time to explain your health issues. She is passionate on what she does and cares about patients. Also, her office staff have it together. They are responsive and quite organized with getting patients in and out in a timely manner. I highly recommend her and her practice. Everybody here is great!

I started visit to Dr Segalene office because I have a problem with asthma and allergies. It happened a few years ago. My friends strongly recommended her as the very professional MD. She did a lot of allergy tests on my skin: after that I knew my problems. Dr Segalene helps me a lot. I feel much better now. She is very knowledgeable and professional Doctor. In 2018 I saw dr.Segalene due to face swelling. I didn't have any other allergy symptoms. I didn't have family history of allergy. I was covered by BlueCross Blue Shield PPO insurance. I paid $50 copay at the day of the visit. Dr. Segalene prescribed some ointment which made my symptoms much worse. I contacted doctor shortly after initial visit. I paid another $50 copay during my second visit. Dr.Segalene was not be able identify the problem and ordered skin allergy tests. Those test have been done during office visit. I wasn't aware that I would be finacially liable for those tests. All tests were totally unnecessary! They all returned negative. I got bill from Allergy & Astma Associates in amount $179.31. According to explanation of benefits from BCBS insurance, my portion is only $112.82. Four years later they reported $179.31 to the collection. Those charges have not been disclosed to me during initial visit. All those tests were not necessary. Stay away from this doctor In 2018 I saw dr.Segalene due to face swelling. Dr Segalene professional, highly knowledgeable in her field and such a warm person! My 3 year old absolutely loves her. This is the only doctor she is actually excited to see. She helped us to get our daughter’s allergies under control and we are incredibly grateful for that! We went to see Dr Segalene for my 4 year olds allergies and were so incredibly impressed. She was patient, knowledgeable, amazing with our son, ask so many clarifying questions and explained everything in detail but simple enough for us to understand. One of the best experiences we’ve had with a doctor in many years. Highly recommend her!

This is the type of doctor to treat a patient rather than just their allergy. Nothing is overlooked when visiting Dr. Segalene. Her staff are unbelievably great also. Worth driving over an hour just to be treated by her.

very disappointed that the Downers Grove office discarded my child’s allergy records from only six years ago!!

I used to go to Asya L Segalene when I was in my mid to late 20's. I was very desperate. My eyes where bloodshot and burning. When the air hit my eyes I felt like acid was hitting them. I went to Dr. Asya L Segalene and she used to work with another woman as well but I think she retired. I did a test on all things environmental. Found out that I was alergic to Cat, Dog, Ragweed and dust mites. I was In so much pain I was willing to try anything. I took the shots religiously slowely I got better it took 3 years but I felt a 100 percent better and my eyes where white again. I'm having I think a few allergy issues years later and I would go to her but I dont live close to her anymore. I was tested for everything again and the funny thing is the only thing I am a little allergic to is Dust Mites. So does it work heck yes it takes time it doesn't work instantly but it works and Dr. Asya L Segalene is the best allergist ever. I highly recommend her. This lady literally told my daughter that she would have to go around in a bubble virtually due to her food allergy. She is BEHIND on her food allergy knowledge. Im so happy to have found another physician with actual current evidence based solutions.

I was so impressed with Dr. Segalene. She had reviewed carefully my medical history before our appointment. She was caring, compassionate and professional. She is very knowledgeable about allergy and recent medical findings. She gave me a stack of information when I left that included additional reading material that may help and recent developments in the study of allergy. I really felt validated and optimistic when I left the office.

Dr Segalene is my favorite doctor to visit. Always a pleasant experience that starts with a friendly office staff greeting me. Dr Segalene has changed my daily comfort and made it easier to breath. She originally diagnosed me with allergies about ten years ago; meanwhile, other specialists could not find a cause of my symptoms. Dr Segalene is an exceptional physician, very caring and thorough. She is so knowledgeable and truly the best physician involved in my care.

Dr. Segalene is totally with me during the conversation without staring into the monitor or EMR tablet. Explains to detail everything and makes sure I got it right. They don't charge any facility fees which can run the same amount of the treatment itself, especially in a hospital.
