Asha Kancharla

I have MS, Fibromyalgia, & Occipital Neuralgia. As a result I deal with daily chronic pain that has a significant impact on my life. Dr Kancharla is very mehodical. She asks very good questions & most importantly, knows how to treat pain. My Occipital Neuralgia was causing agonizing headaches. Dr Kancharla did a nerve ablation on my left Occipital nerve and I've been pain free from that issue for 3 years. She is also treating my other pain issues with great affect. Finding a good pain MGMT doc in East Texas is a real challenge, but I wouldn't have anyone else treat my pain.

I went for an initial visit to this doctor. I wanted to see about getting a procedure done to help with my back pain. I spoke with her for about 5 minutes if that. There was no physical exam done, no medication given or requested. Just a short chat. I was extremely shocked when they billed my insurance nearly 8000. This is completely ridiculous, and I will not be back.

My husband is searching for a pain management dr who is in our community .My husband is disabled and lives in crippling pain. Dr Kancharla put a bandaid on a a broken leg.She prescribed gabapenton at the lowest dosage for his pain. Not good.Will never go back

I have never had any issues with the doctor or the staff. They always call me back they are friendly and the doctor explains everything. I totally hate taking pain meds but that is what helps for the moment. The injections and the staff at the hospital have all been super nice as well.

The big fat nurse on my last visit was snapping at me because I couldn’t pee I was the last patient & she wanted to leave chewing a patient out & snapping at them for that reason was totally out of line she stated that I would have to go to Palestine I was hurting to bad the next morning to try to make a 1 1/2 hr drive so I called to tell them & to tell dr Kancharla how many pain pills I had left & that I was hurting to bad to make the drive safety she said it was I told her I called & she said yes she knew but couldn’t understand what I said the decent thing she should of done was could have called me & asked but no she wanted to be a B____& called me Friday demanded to know where I was at I told her outside the office she said just come get your prescriptions I said be ther in a minuet the she got that B____ look on her face & showed her backside again and with a room full of patients this time told me I’d have to find another dr because I didn’t come in the day before to do a pee test I told her I called she said she knew but couldn’t understand what I said had our roles been reversed I know for a fact I would not have done what she did what’s sad is I had been using dr Kancharla for 13+ yrs normally I don’t write reviews but this time I decided I should because any person thinking of using this dr should reconsider The big fat nurse on my last visit was snapping at me because I couldn’t pee I was the last patient & she wanted to leave chewing a patient out & snapping at them for that reason was totally out of line she stated that I would have to go to … More

Don't appreciate being treated like an idiot & a "doctor shopper." Told my family physician a lie & left me in a room for 45 minutes, while they ALL discussed me falsely, outside the door. Very rude & insulting!!!!

Had my records and referral sent over and have been trying to get appointment for 3 months. After calling 5 times I got 5 different answers. Doctor is reviewing your records, we didn’t have your contact info, etc... I went to the office to speak to someone in person. Office was closed on a Tuesday at 215pm. I made a last call to try again and they said they had tried to contact me numerous times which is a total lie. I have been seeing Dr. Kancharla for over a year now, and her staff is always pleasant and as helpful as they can be. I don't understand the earlier reviews, I have not experienced any problems with Dr. Kancharla or any of her staff.

First visit short with no patience, lack of repect jumped to conclusions never asked me what's I think told me how it was gonna be and she was done

I found Dr. Kancharla to be very professional and knowlegeable. She always listens to my questions and answers with complete professionalism. I find her very caring and concerned about her patients.

Dr. Kancharla is very professional and explains everything about my illness and treatment options well. She seems very smart and confident in herself, but listens to me and my problems and then gives me her very best advice. She is very caring, compassionate, soft spoken and sweet. I like going to see her very much and would recommend her to my family and friends.

Very rude people after u get in a start seeing them they nice at first. Then they are rude they never let you finish what u have to say ill be finding me some were else to go

She billed our insurance for twelve thousand dollars worth of lab work and never drew the first drop of blood! But she will write all the prescriptions for narcotics that you will ever need.
