Arvind Bakhru

Dr. Bakhru is the gold standard for gynecology oncology. From bedside manner, compassion, kindness, knowledge, and skill this surgeon goes above and beyond to make sure you feel like you are in the best of hands. When I found out I had a 35cm tumor in my right ovary that would need surgically removed I was devastated. As a 29 year old girl still wanting kids and a family, I was scared of the risks, recovery, and surgery as a whole. Not only did Dr. Bakhru fit me in immediately and scheduled me for surgery the following week, he sat with me in pre-op and followed up with me in recovery, at the end of the day in my hospital room, and first thing in the morning the following day. Absolutely INCREDIBLE bedside manner and genuine care for his patients. Additionally, because my tumor was so large and the pathology was unknown, I was told I would need to have a large vertical incision. Dr. Bakhru reviewed my case extensively with radiology prior to surgery and was able to successfully remove the tumor with just a low transverse incision making my recovery far more tolerable and aesthetically much more pleasing. I cannot say enough good things about this surgeon. I am beyond grateful that I found him and am blown away with my care. If you are in need of a gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Bakhru is your guy!

Dr Bakhru is exceptional. A brilliant physician and surgeon. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in Dec 2021, saw him in January 2023, and was in surgery 12 days later. He has a very calm demeanor, which for me was very good as I have much anxiety around medical treatment. The phlebotomist in the office is great too. Her name is Claudia. She makes it easy to have your blood drawn, another thing that I have difficulty with. All in all, I am pleased to be under the care of Dr Bakhru who I will now see over the next five years as I navigate this post surgery cancer journey. Currently cancer free and hoping to remain so. I'm very glad I did my research and found Dr Bakhru.

Dr Bakhru saved my life. Post c section I developed a large hematoma and he was called in last minute to perform emergency surgery alongside my OB. He was calm, patient, knowledgeable and kind. Thank you for all you do!

Dr. Bakhru is highly skilled, very kind and caring and excellent at following up. He treated me for endometrial cancer and I am so grateful. He was able to see me immediately after my diagnosis and schedule surgery very quickly. The operation and recovery went extremely well. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Bakhru did my mother's surgery & not only did a wonderful job, but was unfailingly kind and gentle with her throughout the process and after. He never minds answering questions and has so much patience!

Dr. Bakhru is the best of the BEST!! Most caring and sincere Doctor.

I would leave 0 stars if possible. Dr. Bakhru provided the absolute worst medical experience to my wife. I attended each and every appointment with her and managed all of her correspondence with the office. His staff was abusive, belittling, berating, unprofessional and highly inappropriate toward my wife. Never in my life have I had to witness such harassment and mistreatment, of a cancer patient no less. Aside from his staff's deplorable behavior, he himself is unpleasant, unprofessional, and uninformed. He never seemed to recall my wife, her case, or her medical history, which was alarming at best and dangerous at worst. It is very difficult to transfer care mid-treatment, so as soon as it was possible we found a new doctor and thank God we did. He and his abusive staff really set the standard for what not to accept from medical providers. My wife is too kind to say this all herself, but I'm not! If you care about your loved one or yourself, go elsewhere.

Dr Bakhru is kind, compassionate and very competent. I am so glad I found him!

Dr Bakhru is an amazing doctor. I went to 4 other doctors before finally finding him. The others were giving me so many drugs for a rare ectopic and the chemo was making me feel like I was Dying. I met Him- he recommended a simple procedure and I feel 1000x better already. His bedside manner, his calm understanding personality- he super intelligent and confident but not cocky. Recommend ?? out of 10!

When ur fighting for ur life u need a Dr who will have ur back and even fight ur battles for u when ur too weak, that's Dr. B!! I was terminal after exhausting all treatment options in Tallahassee so he referred me for clinical trials at another hospital and I was denied, but dr.B didn't take no for an answer. We found a study that i was an excellent candidate for and he went to the department head and demanded treatment. That was a year ago, as of Feb 2019 i am cancer free...thank you for fighting for my life Dr. Bakhru, we miss u <3

Dr. Bakhru is a wonderful doctor with a terrific bedside manner. He has been so kind and helpful throughout my treatment. I highly recommend him! His nurse Christy is just as wonderful. So thankful I found them!

Dr. Bakhru is an incredible Doctor. He was very professional with an incredible bedside manner. He removed a very large ovarian cyst from my teenage daughter, and he and his staff treated her and the family with such concern and genuine care for our well-being.
