I like Dr. Sivakumar. I like to make my own decisions instead of listening to what a doctor says. This doctor was thorough, cared and took time with me telling me why I would want to do a procedure or take a medication. I am thankful that he did because I was able to buy into following his directive which I needed to do. The wait times are a little much but it is well worth the wait because he spent the needed time with me.

Most thorough doctor I have seen in Vegas!

Very thorough and compassionate. I've been going to him for over 25 yrs and I love and trust him. Yes, there is sometimes a wait for him and I know that he is stuck at the hospital comforting patients that need it more!

I was scheduled for Colon procedure on Friday June 28 at St Rose hospital at 9:00 and report by 0800. I reported at 7;15 to check in and was processed and sent upstairs to pre-op at about 7:40. Nurses gotten prepared and hooked everything immediately to prepare me for my procedure. At 9:00 I asked how everything was moving toward my procedure and got affirmative answers that everything was on schedule. I lay in bed for another hour question ing where was the doctor and found out nobody knew where he was and it was still not known where the doctor was. He had not contacted anyone about his whereabouts. At this time I told the nurses to release me as I was mot waiting any longer. I told the pre-op nurse and the check in desk that I was leaving. They still didn’t know where the doctor was. I left the hospital and have not heard from anyone including the doctor what happend. Will not have any dealings with Dr SIVAKUMAR AGAIN.

He helped me through esophageal spasms, an ulcer, as well as removal of my gall bladder. He is very thorough as well as kind.

Always late and I’m not going back to this doctor anymore!!!!!!

Attempted to call to make an appointment for my father coming out of state who will be living with us soon. I was transferred to the office manager when I requested appointments together she was very snippy and that is as kindly as I could put without using vulgar language to describe this woman we will definitely not use this doctor

I've been seeing reviews about how horrible his staff is.. I have never had an issue with any of them and I think they are super friendly and helpful. I think Dr. Sivakumar is a great doctor!!

My husband is trying to get on the transplant list at UMC. He is in need of a new kidney. He has PKD and his stomach is very extended making it hard to perform a colonoscopy. He had to have his colonoscopy in the hospital.Dr. Sivakumar Arumugam was wonderful to both of us. He took his time to explain that he may not be able to perform the colonoscopy due to my husbands large kidneys. He said he would not be a hero and would go as far as he could. He was able to perform the colonoscopy and everything went great! I would highly recommend this doctor. He might run a bit behind when you meet with him because he really takes his time to explain everything. He is worth the wait. His bed side manners are excellent. Doc is outstanding and the office is efficient. He is thoughtful, thorough, professional, and very knowledgeable. I have been with him over 20 years and I wouldn’t see anyone else.

He is a good doctor but his front office staff is horrible. In particular Christine. She is rude and evasive. She goes out of her way to make every aspect of the intake process, checkout, insurance and prescription process as difficult as possible. On one visit she insisted that my insurance was not accepted. I proved her wrong. This meant I had to reschedule. In the meantime, a prescription expired which I couldn't refill. When I did come back, Dr Ravi Kumar told me at a minimum by law she should have offered me samples until everything was fixed. In addition to that, she swore she gave me a hard copy of the prescription which she didn't. So, I went to the pharmacy because I was told they would send it over. Well guess what? Nope. I like this doctor. Staff have always been very welcoming and nice, never an issue. I would recommend him.

Don't know if things have changed, but through 2016 this guy was really good for me. His office-counseling regarding maintaining a more healthy colon was spot-on, and the colonoscopy experience was as mitigated as it could be. Long waits in the waiting room sometimes, but I haven't found an MD in this town yet where that's not the case. Or if I did, I wouldn't tell you guys! I was a patient of Dr. Siva for about 10 years. The only reason I am no longer a patient, is that I moved. He is very knowledgeable and very kind. I have waited for 30-45 minutes at times, but I was never treated badly by his staff. When I was hospitalized for my condition, he got me back on track and into remission. I will miss you Dr. Siva! Dr. Sivakumar is the best. He is compassionate, polite, and he takes the time to ensure that his patient understands what is happening. Thanks to Dr. Sivakumar he located, removed, and prevented an already bad situation from getting worse.

Dr Sivakumar is everything one could ask for in a doctor. He's smart, patient, compassionate and meticulous. He's just one of the best !!

I was very satisfied with the visits, the procedure and the follow up. Doctors in the USA are not as personable and close as in other countries but the final result worked fine with me so im satisfied.

I had an appointment with Dr Sivakumar on Saturday. He is ok so far; very friendly, he took his time to talk to me and examine me But his staff , those two girls at the front, gave me hard time . Because of their ignorance to read my insurance , they won’t let me see the doctor unless I pay $30.00 . I met my out of pocket, and it says on the paper that they printed : Office Visit Major Medical Benefit Perentage 100%. Plan pays 0% You pay It was very upsetting and unpleasant

Dr. Savikumar seems to be ok. However, his front staff especially Christine needs to be let go. She makes every aspect of check in. check out, insurance and prescriptions difficult. On one visit I was told that my insurance was not accepted even though I had been going to them for over a year. Therefore, I could see the doctor unless I wanted to pay the $375 doctor visit myself. This office has the rudest crew around. They don't have an ounce of sympathy. I was on time for an appointment and after waiting for over one and half hour, still no doctor, and no updates or apologies on what's going on. I was mad and walked out. Later they told me that they expect me to come up and ask for updates about the wait. They're not apologetic at all. They mentioned the 'Specialist' word again. That is a sorry excuse for not managing your time. I was still talking on the phone and they hang up on me. By the way, that same doctor did my colonoscopy, and I waited for over 4 hours, in a prep room, in a gown and attached to an IV, before having the procedure. Excellent doctor until it comes to insurance. I saw him twice, and then his staff realized I have a secondary insurance that they don't accept, though they do accept my primary. Result: he won't see me as a patient in future unless, according to his assistant, I divorce my wife. I blame the doctor either for creating a nonsensical rule or for failing to ensure that his staff understands the actual rule.

I had a colonoscopy and caught a minor throat infection.I called the staff,and they freeze up on the phone.He called back and gave me a antibiotic after telling me off and letting me know it has nothing to do with him even though I said nothing of the sort.I called his office for a copy of the report after weeks had gone by and I had to struggle to get it. His staff never called me back for a follow up.I never went back.Frankly I am afraid of this sort of "specialist".The report I received wasn't complete and, 6 months later, I will attempt to file a complaint with the Medical/GI board of ethics for that.Trying to directly contact the lab.This man is being investigated or sued in another much more serious case in Nevada involving Hepatitis and Endoscopy,Google it.I consider myself lucky to have come out of the colonoscopy with only a sore throat.Stay away from him.
