Awoke one morning unable to hear out of my left ear, NO OTHER SYMPTOMS, went to my doctor that day, over next couple weeks of trying nasal drops, prednisone, mucinex and z pack, was referred to ENT specialist. Filled out lengthy form on medical info, 1st words out of nurses mouth “so you’re having trouble with your sinuses?” NO. Why did I fill that form out if you weren’t going to read it? He was rough while examining, like he was angry, did not explain anything in advance of doing, very minimal exam, waited for 20 minutes 3 times between his working with other patients. I had to leave, no one around to tell, felt like lunchtime came & they all left to eat, including receptionist. Next AM, his nurse calls & tells me that Doc has determined that I have significant hearing loss in my left ear (DUH!) and he recommends hearing aids. Worst part is the delay he caused that is detrimental in recovering hearing loss with SSHL, diagnosed later by another specialist.
