Dr. Arthur Hernandez is a excellent doctor. He cares about his patience. He even helps you when your primary care doctor won’t help you. He does blood work. I hate he had to retire.

If I could give Dr. Hernandez a negative rating and take him out of practice, I would. His gross negligence to his patients is astounding. Dr. Hernández was seeing my mother who was in chronic pain. He prescribed her medications and on the next appointment, he claimed he didn’t remember her or that he prescribed any medication. My mom challenged him and told him she didn’t feel comfortable under his care if he eas not going to remember his chart and make appropriate choices regarding her care. He got up and walked away, telling her that he was choosing not to see her anymore. He didn’t even know what my mothers chief complaint was. It’s crazy that there are so many reviews saying the same thing and he’s still in practice.

Ive been seeing him for about a year. He is a great pain specialist.

I was just told he won’t be in practice anymore. He always treated me good. The longtime staff are awesome and friendly. After 7 years I will miss them all. The only negative is that I’m in a hurry to find another pain management doctor ASAP. Recommendations anyone?

Great pain Dr great staff has really helped me with my pain

Dr. Hernandez is an medical doctor with poorly trained as a pain doctor and meditation dosage. From 8 mg 3 times a day he switched me to 0.03 mgs 4 times a day sending me to the worst withdrawal on a weekend. He does not listen to you most of the time walks away from you living the room and making you feel confused with no hope for a better treatment t or other alternatives. You are simply another dollar walking though. He charge you for equipment that you don't need or use, for lab work you ha e to use his lab etc. The injection is a joke, no follow up but over 600 hundred or more charge to Medicare. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Had cervical fusion last year and my Dr referred me this office. Dr got made at me because I didn’t want to take his medication. I told him I just wanted injections. He kept asking why are you here? And I told him because my PCP referred me and they don’t give spinal injections. He’s very rude and even accused me of taking meds from him and my PCP when I had the proof that I have never done such a thing. He told me he decided that he is discharging me from his office because of this. He couldn’t even show the proof that I picked up anything with his name on it. I even had the pharmacy verify this for me and still he let me go. He wouldnt let me talk either. I only had injections here and he just let me go like that. I’m reporting him to Medical board. His office is disgusting and always filled “junkie looking”people.

If I could give a 0 star I would. I can never get in contact with the office. I have been suffering with back pain due to my scoliosis and lost curvature in my lower spine for months and he is almost the only doctor that would take private pay but can't even get anyone on the phone let alone a call back!!

What a grouch... Never smiles.. never laughs..

After telling the Dr Arthur Hernandez, I do not want to do injections due to my past experience of not being mobile. He then proceeded to tell me to back to your doctor your at the wrong office.

Have been going there for years. Best pain doctor and staff. Kind, caring and compassionate. I will never go to another. I am 74 and he takes great care of me.

The doctor, pa, & staff have been very kind & courtesy to me every time I have been there. No one has ever made me feel uncomfortable about being there. I know a lot of people are in pain and need their medications, but they seem to try to get you in asap. The office has been reconstructed to be more efficient and wait times are shorter than hour usually. Dr Hernandez has awesome medial staff and new doctors like Miss Sunny and others they have got my pain down only way to put it I’m not angry or don’t want to get up. I felt that way for years now I enjoy life a little bit haven’t done that for years. This place is worth it if your in uncontrollable pain please see him might take few months but he will help you and stay on it till you feel like it’s manageable

I haven't even gone into this facility and can tell just by their voicemail that its a complete joke. Why would I seek treatment at a place that can't even afford someone to take calls. There's enough automation already but with my health I would rather speak to a person.

They are very rude, he's rude and has no compassion for anyone. I got kicked out because I was robbed at gun point and they stole my purse with my meds so I made a police report and took it to him because I didn't want to very into trouble. He said that I should have fought them off. I'm disabled so that's not happening,and he threw me out of his office and red flagged me so I haven't been able to see a pain specialist in over a year. I have degenerative disc disease, chronic pain disease, bulging and herniated discs in my neck and back. The waittime is horrible. 7hrs for a 5min visit. They are very rude, he's rude and has no compassion for anyone. Dr. Hernandez is hands down one of the most honest doctors I have met since moving to TX! He actually listens to you and does what he can to help you! I give him and his staff 5 stars!!! The whole group there is just absolutely amazing! Thank you southwest clinic! ????????????????????????

Doctor Hernandez is INCREDIBLE!!!!! I've been living in chronic pain from horrific nerve pain & brain damage from a car wreck for well over 21 years & have tried repeatedly to find a pain doctor who'd listen to me and understand what I'm dealing with. All hope was just about lost until I found Dr. Hernandez! He REALLY cares & goes out of his way to understand what each patient is dealing with so he can help them in the best possible way! I don't know how to express how truly impressed I am with Dr. Hernandez and his entire staff. You might have to wait in the waiting room a little longer than you'd like to but it's well worth it & also further proves what a remarkable doctor he is since so many want to go to him. I HIGHLY recommend Doctor Hernandez to everyone in need of a pain specialist, there are NONE other like him!!!!!

Dr. Hernandez is great. He listens and does everything he can to help. The problem isn't with him, but the other doctors he has helping him they don't listen. They are unhelpful. I don't know how many times I had to call back because they got miligrams wrong on medication. And if you realize it after you pick up your meds, theres no help. Your screwed until next visit. I don't like Dr Sonny or the newest edition, I can't pronounce his name, so I don't know how it's spelled. If you get a chance, demand for Dr Hernandez.

My Mother in law used to be a patient there and I went with her to an appointment. Arthur was very rude to her and me as well. He was accusing me of being on my phone in the room, he stated my mother in law had alcohol in her urine, which is false because she doesn't even drink! He even kicked me out of the room because I asked if my mother in law can try physical therapy before trying injections. This man is very rude, a liar, and a straight up jerk. I highly recommend you not using him as your pain manager. I also spoke with a few other patients and they told me similar stories. They told me they're afraid to complain or switch because they're afraid to lose they're pain meds they need. That is NOT ok. I trust and respect Dr. Hernandez. My husband and I see him regularly and really appreciate his help in getting back to living a better quality of life, even with debilitating pain. Both of us suffer and Dr. Hernandez really understands the level of interruption in daily living that is caused by severe pain. Unfortunately, the government failed in their war on drugs and are using doctors as a scapegoat. The government does not care about our suffering, you know, we follow all the rules, follow all doctor advice, and really do our best to find other ways to help our pain besides pain meds, so when the government forces our doctors to reduce patient prescriptions to a level that brings back All the initial severe pain, ....well it's hard to take. Not the doctor's fault, but still, essentially I understand that the government cares only about numbers, reports, and the bottom line and somewhere in the mix, real people, good people, who follow all the rules are left in the cold to suffer and die. Staff is the most rude unprofessional, never recommend or shall I return to

Good doctor but I can't recommend him. Both visits to him were over 3.5 hours long and the staff just took it as the price you pay for seeing him. Visit with doctor was 10 minutes the rest was waiting time.

Dr. Hernandez is an awesome Dr, he's very personable, follows FDA guidelines & performs random UA's, which I like. He's not a " candy Dr"! Pl byus there's physical therapy, injection " OR", & a weight loss clinic. All of which are directly linked to Southwest Pain Clinic, the official name of Dr. Hernandez's practice. I've been a patient for 5 years & I can honestly say that the only complaint is the waiting. If you plan on going to see Dr. Hernandez make sure you plan on being there the whole day. That's what I thought 2yrs ago. As soon as I asked for switching medication however I'm now being treated as though I'm I'm being punished for not wanting to take methadone it wasn't for heroin addiction he started me on it when the morphine didn't work for pain. Good doctor he understands pain and is very attentive he actually cares,my only complaint is that the shots that I was sent here to get in my spine I'm still waiting on! It's been 3 months but as for the pain meds thank God I have enough of those to last me through the day because spine pain is so painful. I never experienced pain like this until now.It opened my eyes to how many people are suffering w their med problems. Dr Hernandez is a Great MD. He listens to you and does his best to relieve you of any pain. I am pleased with him and his diligence. Dr Hernandez is very knowledgeable.
