While Dr. Guerrero is an awesome doctor, his schedule and staff lack sympathy for patients. They clearly do not have any idea how debilitating it can be when your symptoms act up and you need to be re-evaluated. On top of which, if his schedule cannot accommodate a 3-5 min phone call to be told if your medication needs to be adjusted, he and the office manager need to address his patient load realistically. Staff has exhibited a pattern of rude behavior over the course of the last 4 months. While I sitting in the waiting room I have observed and overheard front office staff put patients on hold then turn to a colleague and talk about the patient in a disparaging manner. Today, I experienced a staff member talk over me while I’m speaking to them, and refuse to stop when I pointed out they were talking over me. Doctor guerrero is highley attentative and understands your issues well. He puts aside all distractions and focusing on helping you. I most definitly recomend Dr.Guerrero!

I wish I could give a higher rating since Dr. Guerrero was recommended however my experience wasn’t well. I have been trying to get my dad an appointment here since last year, I even dropped off the patient paperwork in person myself and it took a whole year for him to be seen. Dr. Guerrero did have availability but it is very difficult to get ahold of his staff plus my dad works a very busy schedule to make ends meet which is why it took forever. When I finally got the appointment I called and asked what labs need to be done prior to his appointment, since we did get a text saying labs need to be done, and the receptionist transferred me to a nurse who stated he doesn’t need labs done, that Dr. Guerrero would order them if needed once he is seen. Long story short, my dad goes to the office on the day of his appointment, not only can they not find him on the system at first, but when they did they said he can’t be seen since no labs were done, plus they had the nerve to say that he is at fault for rescheduling his appointment 3x earlier this year due to his jobs schedule. Maybe Dr. Guerrero is good, but his staff needs to get it together. Total waste of time, not going back. I wish I could give a higher rating since Dr. Guerrero was recommended however my experience wasn’t well. Dr is very attentive. But his staff needs training in customer service! Made 5 attempts to get paperwork done and I get the run around. Staff says theyvwill call me back but no one has.

On my first visit with Dr. Guerrero, I found him to be friendly and thorough. He spent time with me discussing a plan for better health. He answered my questions and calmed my fears. I really like him and would highly recommend him.

Dr. Guerrero is wonderful! He is very understanding and works with you to get in the best health. He listens and is genuinely caring of his patients concerns.

Being a type 1 diabetic with thyroid issues I have seen many endocrinologists in the San Antonio area throughout my years and Dr Guerrero is by far the absolute best. He takes time to go over any and all questions without feeling rushed or judged. He is up to date and knows how to use, fine tune & tweak all the updated diabetic technology & tools so I can use it to my advantage. On top of this, his staff is exceptionally nice and caring. I am thrilled to have finally found a doctor who can care for a disease I have revolved my life around and is there to really help me manage it and be my absolute best. I would recommend Dr Guerrero to anyone in need of an endocrinologist.

I've been seeing Dr. Guerrero for almost a year and I trust his judgement calls in treating my Type II Diabetes. I am extremely satisfied with the regimen he has me on.

Dr Arthur F. Guerrero is awesome! He is professional, friendly, listens to you, explains what you don't understand, praises you when you're doing well and explains how to improve when you're not. Since I have been seeing him my Diabetes is now much better. A1C is 6.9. Thank you Dr Guerrero!

I cannot say enough about Dr. Guerrero and this office. This is my THIRD endocrinologist in SA, and I've finally found a home! I couldn't bear the long wait times and rude staff at either of the previous two offices, not to mention that if you don't have diabetes, most endos don't keep up with other disease states. Dr. Guerrero couldn't be more opposite - he took the time to review my entire history, asked a lot of questions, and gave all of the background on why he wanted to change my current protocols. Turns out my previous doctors (one very well known with a huge practice) were not keeping up with current best practice. I've been so pleased with how efficiently the office runs (I never wait long), and how kind and patient he is at every appointment. I've referred about a dozen people here who are current patients at other big endocrinology practices and they all have had the same experience. This was my second visit with Dr. Guerrero monitoring hypothyroidism. Love the fact that his office has an in house Quest Lab. Dr. Guerrero wanted to rule out any type of abnormal growth affecting my thyroid so he himself performed an ultrasound of my thyroid with instant positive results. His entire staff is both efficient and friendly. I walked out of his office with a smile.

Dr. Guerrero knows his business. He knocked my A1C down 4 points in 6 short months, and I am now looking at reducing a key medication (never thought that would ever happen). You are not a number at his office. Your questions are answered, and plans of action are explained in a manner that is understandable, resulting in a successful outcome. I enthusiastically endorse Dr. Guerrero based on my results. Just listen to what he suggests, and commit yourself to his plan, they work if you apply yourself.

Dr. Guerrero is a fine endocrinologist. He has helped me tremendously and is always concerned about my medical progress. For my diabetes treatment, I would not see anyone else. I give Dr. Guerrero 5 stars!

Great doctor!

Dr. Guerrero is the Best Endocrine doctor I have seen in my many years of thyroid disease. He also was the doctor that diagnosed my kidney disease when he read my blood tests at which time he referred me to a kidney specialist. He is excellent in explaining in detail my blood work and medications. Very professional and knowledgeable. He is the Best!

He can make a quick call of what isn’t the cause of a problem but stops there without helping you find out what is causing the issue.

Dr. Guerrero changed my life! I was misdiagnosed by another doctor as a Type 2 diabetic and was on a major and fast health decline. Dr. Guerrero listened to my concerns, helped me and correctly diagnosed me as a Type 1. Like I said, life changing!! Thanks to him, his staff and their helpfulness they have given me the tools I needed to live a healthier life!

He always explains issues/results in detail. He is a wonderful physician and I am blessed to be his patient.

He is an amazing doctor, always listens and is very attentive. I love the fact that he is always smiling, and treats me like I am his only patient. My health has never been better!!!

I normally do not take the time to give a review but I will for Dr. Guerrero because he does take the time to listen and go over anything that is bothering you. Dr. Guerrero is very informative on everything you need to know about thyroids. He’s always very friendly and keeps you laughing. He draws out a diagram to help you understand what’s going on in your body during every appointment to make it more clear and understandable. I highly recommend him and his staff.

He has never been in a hurry, he has always taken the time to explain things in a way that I can understand them and he has always answered all of my questions in a friendly and professional manner with a smile on his face. After being diabetic for 28 years I needed someone to help get things under control and Dr. Guerrero has been amazing. Not only does he ask the medical questions, he asks what is going on in my life. Stress, work, can all change how treatment is given. He has asked me questions about diabetes that nobody has asked me ever, and this is a good thing!

I went to see Dr Guerrero regarding some varying A1-c readings. I was given a glucose monitor to determine my actual reading. It was lower than expected. I was taken off of Januvia & given a 3 month follow up. As a result of my most recent blood test it was determined that I did not have diabetes. Dr Guerrero’s explanation of my blood work was the most thorough I have ever received from any doctor. His skills are amazing. I would strongly recommend him to any one in need of an endocrinologist.

This is a doctor’s office that I don’t mind going to. Dr Guerrero always listens to my concerns and explains everything so I can understand. He gives me complete peace of mind about my Graves’ disease and thyroid issues. Highly recommend.

Dr. Guerrero is my Mother's endocrinologist and we both really like him! He is considerate, intelligent and caring. He does not waste time but gets right to what is needed and gets it done in a timely manner. We both highly recommend him to others who need endocrinology treatment or consultation!

After going through some tests I went in for a follow up with Dr. Guerrero. Dr. Guerrero was unavailable and I was told I would be seen by the P.A. who became unavailable. A young lady took my temperature and blood pressure then the Office Manager came in and said she would talk to me. I asked if she were medically qualified to give a prognosis and if my insurance would be charged for a doctor visit. She did not have my chart and couldn't address my issues. Poorly done!

The first time I went to the office I waited 2 hours without a single word to anyone. I figured this happens from time to time, so okay, I went back. On my second visit, without asking me a single question he informed me that after being cancer free for almost 5 years I now needed radiation and that I could do it next week. He also informed me I needed to see a doctor about my liver. I went to get a second opinion and I am FINE! I do not need radiation OR to see a doctor about my liver.

Excellent physician. Actually takes the time to talk about your condition and answer all questions. Well versed on the latest articles, guidelines and procedures. Highly recommended.

I found Dr. Guerrero thru my insurance website and he did not disappoint. He truly does listen to your concerns. I was recently diagnosed with Diabetes II and didn't understand the disease as it pertains to me. He is more of a coach then a Dr. providing me what I needed to get it under control. Great doctor and recommend him highly.

I would recommend Dr Guerrero to all my friends. His knowledge, ease in listening and his bedside manner are of the highest quality. When you have questions, he never rushes you. He and his staff treat you like family. I trust his knowledge base as he has helped me majorly improve my control of my A1C. My experience with Dr. Guerrero has been excellent! He's knowledgeable, has great bedside manners and has a great sense of humor. I've been diabetic for 20 years and have never had a doctor care so much. I will never forget him looking me right in the eye and saying, "I am your coach and I need you to show up for practice." I found Dr. Guerrero on line. I was not disappointed. He was very knowledgeable and listened to all of my problems with out rushing. His explanations were easy to understand. I felt very comfortable under his care.

I took my son to see Dr. Guerrero for multiple endocrine issues and was extremely impressed by him. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to my son all about his thyroid condition and how it can affect his body. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends, family and since I work in a family practice office, our patients as well.

I am a retired Dentist so I know the importance of good bedside manner and Dr Guerrero has a great one. Also he is very good at his specialty. I have a very complex situation and he was able to get me feeling great in less than a month of treatment. Coming from a fellow professional in the health field,I hightly recommend him.

Dr. Guerrero is the first doctor to take the time and explain to me what was happening internally with my thyroid----this is after many, many years of seeing doctors/nurse practitioners for hypothyroidism. He also reviewed the most current lab results with me (along with past results for comparison data) and listened to my symptoms to determine the next best steps for me to take.

This is my first appointment with Dr Guerrero. He is personable and polite. He carefully reviewed my labs and discussed them, explaining complex information in a simple way. He listened to what I said and accepted my decision on treatment. I am looking forward to my next appointment with him.

I was a patient in this practice for a few years before Dr. G came on board and was happy with the staff. Dr. G's bio was interesting and I thought his approach to diabetes would help me. He was prepared for my appointment. He listened to me first and then laid out a plan to help me achieve what I wanted in handling my diabetes. Had my third visit and because of his treatment plan and my compliance, I'm off two other meds because of good lab reports. How often does that happen? I feel successful

Dr Guerrero has been great so far! Within my 2 visits, he has my hypothyroidism under control and he has helped me develop a game plan to lower my A1C values that I am confident of.

They got me in ASAP compared to other Drs and got the testing I needed. He had good bed side manners and listened to my concerns. There were a couple of minor things that I did not agree with on knowledge of a couple of things that was discussed but that was pertaining to me personally and most likey wouldn't have anything to do with anyone else. So I do highly recommend. In house lab people were great too.

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's over 2 years ago and Dr Guerrero was the first doctor to take the time to explain how the thyroid is supposed to work vs how mine is working. He also explained my lab results in detail- which put many of my concerns to rest. He was extremely kind and gave me several different options in managing my health going forward.
