I go in twice a year to keep my best eye health. Dr. Benjamin changed my life with my eye surgery a couple of years ago and I look forward to every visit now. Thank you, Dr. Benjamin.

Office called and rescheduled my appointment three times. The nurse/doctor who performed all the tests seemed new and somewhat unsure how to operate the equipment. In addition to a $200 office visit (not including the test fees added) they charge an additional $125 to actually give you your glasses prescription (otherwise they won’t even tell you the results). Once the doctor came in he seemed rushed and annoyed. They no longer take most insurances so I had to pay a $300 office visit (and without a new eye prescription which is what I came for) as I wouldn’t pay the up charge. This office has the latest high tech equipment but they nickel and dime you and really aren’t very nice people.

Life saver! I can't say how thankful I am for the amazing care of this office. Ok, so I had a puff up of my eye on a Sunday. It got worse, so Monday morning I went to an Urgent Care and got a cortisone steroid shot to help with the swelling. By the time Monday late afternoon i was getting worse. I called Dr. Benjamin's office and they fit me in first thing the next morning on an already packed schedule. I get in and turns out I have an abscess infection in my under eye with several styes! It was really terrible with awful swelling. I was so well taken care of by this office and Dr. Benjamin took me right in. This is a delicate area in the eye and I've never had such a situation happen to me. I felt at ease and so grateful for being so well taken care of when I was so scared and in bad bad shape. First time at an ophthalmologist and could not have been a better experience. Came recommended by another doctor which is always great sign. Seamless, friendly and made it not feel like being at a “medical” appointment. Well worth making them your go to!

I have been a patient of Dr. Benjamin for several years. He manages my glaucoma and has also performed LASIK and SLT on both my eyes. I have been to multiple other Ophthalmologist in my life, and I simply do not trust anyone with my eyes other than Dr. Benjamin. He is an outstanding physician and he also has outstanding office staff. Everyone in the office knows exactly what they are doing and are very professional. Highly recommended for anyone that is as picky as I am.

Excellent experience - efficient and thorough

I was extremely pleased with the thoroughness of the exam, the state of the art equipment, and the expertise of Dr Benjamin and his medical technician. All of the findings were clearly explained with proactive guidelines and follow up. The office is beautiful and felt very safe even during Covid. I am grateful to have found this office.

Dr. Benjamin has a state of the art facility. The visit was expedient and invaluable. In a very short period of time, I had a very different diagnosis than I thought. Dr. Benjamin showed me pictures of my eyes that he had taken minutes before; as well as explained thoroughly the tests taken earlier in the visit, a very different portrait of my eyes! (I do not have macular degeneration, and barely any cataracts.) While Dr. Benjamin wrote me a prescription for glasses, he recommended to wait two weeks and try the eye drops. He was right, the glare went away, I was able to read with greater accuracy without distortion and blurring, most importantly the agility to read times and dates fluidly--essentially my field of vision has changed back to an undistorted plane (an unexpected bonus). The visit was expedient, observations astute, and acumen regarding the status of my eyes, efficient, and illuminating. Staff is welcoming, great personalities-all, and solid at their jobs.

I have been a patient of Dr Benjamin for over 20 years. His professionalism, willingness to get to the core of the problem, and impeccable skills never fail to impress me. Not only did I get my new Rx for reading glasses, but he also informed of the new treatment available for dry eyes, checked my retina, and eye pressure. In my opinion, his charisma combined with the dedication to patient care are key to a successful practice.

I came here to get a stye injected, They quoted me $175 over the phone, which is ALOT for a little kenalog injection, but I was desperate. 2 hours in the office, I told the Medical Assistant I needed to leave. Dr. Benjamin overheard me and came into the room (upset) dropped the F-BOMB and injected my eye with so much fluid my eye was swollen shut for 5 mins. I have worked in a dermatologist and ophthalmologist office to know, you are only suppose to inject a little, since the eye lid is very thin. two months later, I am still having problems with my eye. He charged me $500 at check out, I was in such a rush, I told myself I would deal with it later. I brushed it off and let it go, to only get a bill two months later for $35.00. I am very fair, but he could care less about his patients and just wants money. I had dry, itchy, red eyes pretty much all my life, which is a health issue as much as a cosmetic issue. I am a physician and I looked always lacking proper sleep because of how my eyes looked. Dr. Benjamin has explained me my condition in lay terms and all the available cures for the condition. After first treatment with lipiflow not only my red itchy dry eyes found relief I can honestly see better because my eyes don't get tired quickly on screen time. After the treatment with Dr Benjamin my eyes do not feel like I have fine sand paper in them. Even as a medical professional I did not know that I was damaging my cornea, which is irreversible. If not treated properly dry scratchy eyes can permanently damage cornea the part with eyes can see where the light and vision enters . Office is comforting and soothing, staff is efficient and Dr Arthur is a great, professional and personable physician who makes you feel good taking care of your most important and visible part of your body.

Dr. Benjamin examined my left eye for a significant increase in floaters. He immediately arranged an appointment for the retina specialist! Dr. Benjamin saved my eyesight once already due to Shingles inside my ?? eye. How can you thank someone enough for something as valuable as your eyesight?

Awful experience with this Dr. He seems to care far more about what he can charge out of pocket than patient care. Terrible bedside manner. Unless you are spending lots of money and not using insurance his care was not good at all. Had to research the problem and suggest options he never offered!

He takes time to review test results and explain the various treatment options, sensitively prescribing the most effective treatment for me. The results of the surgery were exactly as he had described. The recovery took half the time compared to a similar surgery I had at a prestigious London Clinic and the results far exceeded my expectation. He is smart, dedicated and witty. I highly recommend a visit. The office is cheek, serene, and peaceful. The physicians as well as the medical staff there are sensitive, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable of every medical eye scenario there is!

Got glass sand in my eye while on vacation, he was the only one who would take emergency patients and he fixed my right up after a evening of excruciating pain. Saved the day, would be my Dr if I lived locally. Eye wizard.

Fast appt, great service, professional staff

Dr. Benjamin did my cataract surgery and all went well. My annual checkups are always pleasant and courteous as well. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs corrective eye surgery.

I had my LASIK surgery 7 month ago and I can only say the best things about BEI! I couldn't have chosen better place to go. I had couple of options in my mind but after going for consultation, I had no doubt that I don't want anyone else doing my surgery but Dr. Benjamin. Consultation: they did couple of examinations, checking if my cornea is thick enough, etc. Went very well. Mayka was my counselor, she is such a wonderful person! She is great asset to the team! She was very patient with me, answering all my questions, calming me down and explaining the process. Pre-op exam: lots of examinations, my eyes got pretty tired by the time we finished but at the same time it made me feel really good because I thought they really take it seriously. We took care of payment this day, got the prescription for the drops and I was good to go. Surgery: my appointment was 3pm and I was extremely nervous. I arrived little early and I didn't even have to wait, they double checked my vision one more time and I was prepped for surgery. Got my xanax, really important!! :) Then off to the operating room. It was not the OR you imagine, this place was so futuristic and looks like an aquarium, I loved it. :) Especially good for family, they can see everything from the glass walls and the huge display that shows the process. The surgery itself wasn't bad at all. It was all in my head and that was the hardest part. Xanax made me not to think about what's going on, all I was thinking is to stay still and listen to the instructions if they had any. It didn't hurt at all, it was slightly uncomfortable but what you expect... After the surgery I went home, fell asleep right away. Woke up 3 hours later with pain and I couldn't see anything, it was not pleasant at all, I couldn't even open my eyes. My husband gave me pain killers and I fell right back asleep in 2 minutes, before the medicine even started to work. Then the miracle happened. Woke up another 3 hours later and I felt no pain at all, no discomfort at all, like nothing happened BUT my vision was PERFECT. I looked at the tv and I couldn't believe my eyes. It was crystal clear and real HD ;) It was such a significant moment in my life!! Post-op exam: the day after the surgery, I could have easily driven there but my husband took me just in case. All the way in the car I was reading out loud all the signs and billboards from far away like a kid, I was very proud and amazed by my vision. The exam went well, they told me to come back in a month. AND I got my entire surgery on DVD. Isn't it awesome?! Since then I was there couple of times for regular check ups and I still have dryness. I got punctal plugs during the 1-month follow-up and I still have them in to date. I still need to use artificial tears several times a day but at work I'm staring the computer all day, so probably that's why. Going back to my 6 month follow-up next week and I'm very excited, I just love to go to BEI. If you're thinking about LASIK surgery, don't even look further. Dr. Benjamin is the absolute best!! WOW! Where should I even begin? My entire experience with the Benjamin Eye Institute has been outstanding from the beginning. My first appointment I came in, all my questions were answered, I met the actual doctor, and developed a great relationship with all the staff. Everyone made me feel well-informed, safe, and cared for. They promptly answered any and all questions and kept a great line of communication open in the 3 months of research I did before deciding on a doctor. I ended up choosing Benjamin Eye Institute, even at a little higher cost because I felt like they actually cared about me as a patient, and not just the $$. Mayka helped me with all my issues regarding payment and put my mind at ease regarding my first elective surgery. The day of surgery went smoothly. I was seen about an hour after the scheduled surgery time but I think the doctor was held up taking care of an especially complicated case before mine. In any case, that shows how much they really care! They won't push people or do a job half-way just because of a time slot. Doctor Benjamin actually cares about his patients on a personal level. Immediately after my surgery, I was a little out of it from the Xanax but I could tell that my vision was already better than it had ever been. The very next morning I was able to drive MYSELF to the follow up appointment and my vision has improved ever single day since then. It has been almost 2 weeks and just the feeling of waking up and seeing everything cannot compare to anything else. It is like going from a regular TV to seeing everything in HD. AMAZING!!! What a fabulous experience. I had an emergency. I called several ophthalmologists in the Beverly Hills area. No one could see me in a timely manner. Except Dr. Benjamin. We were brought into his office as soon as was convenient for us. We were treated like royalty from the moment we set foot in this beautiful office. And then we met Dr. Benjamin. How could things go up from there? They did. What a down to earth, relaxed, smart man. He brought us back a few times to make sure my eye was improving. I can't recommend him highly enough.
