While I my puppy ???? had surgery, Doctor Mowlavi came inside her

I went in for liposuction on my abdominal area and left ripples all over due to uneven fat distribution. Bad experience and bad procedure outcome.

do not go there. my sister went to this to have surgery beast reduction. but it was terrible and different size and mess. i felt like they are unlicensed doctors and i found out women planned to sue this doctor as well

Dr. Mowlavi is a gentleman and a caring surgeon. He treated me with compassion and gave me breast reconstruction when I was at my darkest hour. Thank you!

Amazing staff & doctor; I cannot thank them enough for their time & effort. I was going to book an appointment but then I read the news stories about the death, the 3 million dollar settlement, the botched surgeries, the woman who developed sepsis, the woman who was in a coma for two weeks, and now I will be NOT be making an appointment. Do your research.

I went to Dr Mowlavi for breast implant removal and a lift. Dr Mowlavi most definitely is NOT a Dr with a “bedside manner” AT ALL. He is most definitely a salesman. No matter what you go see him for he will tell you about EVERYTHING you need tucked, sucked and lifted which is a bit disturbing. MY RESULTS…… My stitches opened up and left a deep hole/opening about 3 weeks after surgery. I called his office multiple times and it took him 4 days to even call me back then he just told me to keep it clean and covered. It took a long time to heal and now has a deformity. I’m very lucky I didn’t get an infection or worse! One breast is about a hole size smaller than the other and a lot lower. Needless to say i am now looking for yet another Dr to fix this botched job!! During the healing process Dr Mowlavi kept telling me not to worry he can fix it with fat transfer and it would be covered through my insurance (due to my implant rupture they covered the implant removal) but once i came in for my 1 year follow up he said it was going to cost me THOUSANDS more for the fat transfer. FYI….I received paperwork from the courts that he has filed bankruptcy and has ongoing lawsuits as well. Be careful people! BOTTOMLINE….. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Dr Mowlavi to anyone for anything!

I went there for a consultation first of all I waited forever !!!when you walk in they don’t even care. Finally I saw another doctor who treats you like you’re so ugly and you need all this work done after they give you a ridiculous price . Tell you have to stay overnight which was kind of odd for me. Then doing a little more research I found out that a patient passed away and he has millions of lawsuits. Plus he’s not allowed to practice. Therefore why my consultation was not with Dr. Mowlavi Please do not get surgery here. Don’t go to this place ever !!!!

I had a tummy tuck and muscle repair in August 2021 and it was the best decision I’ve made in choosing a great cosmetic surgeon . In reviewing potential surgeons for my lipo with BBL, of course there are many options to choose from. When I met Dr. Mowlavi, it was the confidence that he displayed as I expressed my concerns regarding safety. Compared to other surgeons, he ensures not only his work is of perfection but that your safety is put 1st. He and his team provided clear and fesible before, during and after surgery instructions. His team is always available to any questions. His PA is awesome and provided great education on the entire surgery process. My recommendations for those getting lipo with fat transfer is to go bigger than you think you may want. I would have preferred is they explained that not all fat remains. If so, I would of went bigger. I still love my results and I am more confident now than I was before my surgery. I already have plans on returning for more work to be done.

At Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Institute, I had the greatest experience, when I began my research to find a surgent I came across Dr. Mowlavi’s website I was extremely impressed I called and someone called me back after hours to set up my consultation, very impressive. I went for my tummy tuck consultation everyone there was so warm and friendly I felt like they known me for years. My consultation to my surgery was so amazing. I was given everything I needed from instructions, walking me through the paperwork, any questions I had someone was always a phone call away. By the time, my surgery date came I was excited to get my surgery I arrived, and everyone was so attentive I felt so special. After surgery I had the best care I stayed in a 24 hour recovery they took such good care of me, then my post-op began the next day I had massage appointments set up to begin after surgery, my pre-op appointments were set up, my post-op follow-up appointments were set up for the first year, before surgery I had all my medication at home everything I needed to heal and recover, they gave me garments for healing process, they even gave me a list of what I needed to bring with me. This was an impressive experience, and let me just say I look amazing, I’m six months post-op and I look and feel great. I receive many compliments, and my body is healing so well you can’t tell. I am so grateful to each member of the Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Institute, Dr. Mowlavi you chose a great team of people to collaborate with you. The staff, Stephanie, James, Tony everyone was absolutely wonderful, I was treated with care and respect.

I recently had a procedure done by Dr. Mowlavi and I couldn’t be happier. Although, initially I was apprehensive due to some of the recent negative reviews and a lawsuit against him by a very vocal prior patient. I strongly suggest people that have or intent to leave a negative review based on a video you saw about him, please don’t. Unless, you know the details of the story, not just from a disgruntled previous patient, then it’s probably best to do more research and not blindly leave reviews about someone you’ve never even received services from. I have no ties to Dr. Mowlavi. Just a satisfied customer that had a great experience with his surgical center and I’m glad I decided to move forward despite the podcast and video that is out there about him. Poor hygiene. For my follow up visits; in two occasions, he came into the consultation room with his surgical gown and surgical gloves full of blood stains. His assistant ‘J’ was in the same room. He saw it too.

I don’t understand how this man has gotten away with this kind of behavior for so long. Is plastic surgery just not considered “real surgery” therefore if a botched job is performed the patient is just laughed at? Isn’t there a medical board or an oversight committee? This is terrible

Super amazing surgeon,  works miracles!! All the staff was kind and helpful though the whole process and definitely gave the "your part of the family experience", I was going under anesthesia smiling because I knew I was in great hands, Dr mowlavi delivered on my expectations and beyond , sutures are healing amazingly , pain was extremely minimal (I know pain tolerance is different for everyone but by day two I just felt a bit stiff with no pain) and definitely would recommend to anyone looking for minimal or massive cosmetic surgery this man know what hes doing and definitely blessed my body and correct the mistakes of a previous surgeon in DR.

Had an in-person consultation for Tummy Tuck and lipo. The place is pretty busy but Dr. Mowlavi and his patient coordinator were very patient. They took their time with me and answered all my questions. I kept asking for different scenarios and his coordinator provided me with several different quotes to meet my needs. Im still looking around but I am impressed with what I've seen so far.

My friend and I came from out of state to get a BBL, 360 lipo (myself a breast revision as my breast implant had bottomed out and my nipples were not aligned). He promised this was an easy fix and that he could align my nipples back in place. It has been almost 3 months and I’m completely botched and my nipples are even further apart and one nipple the skin is stretched out and it wasn’t before. He took my incision line nearly to my armpit. I have this red raised area, of concern from liposuction on my side that I’m not sure if it’s necrosis or what is going on. I’ve attempted 7 emails over 10 calls to the office and he will not address my bodily concerns or return any emails or calls. This is patient neglect at its finest. As for my friend, she developed seromas after seromas in her abdomen. Dr Mowlavi told her to take an 18 gauge and syringe and remove the fluid from HER OWN abdomen herself. Any caring and competent surgeon would have called to find her a surgeon who could help her in our state. She has since experienced anxiety and depression from being neglected and having to drain her own seromas. This man should not be allowed to be able to operate on any human being, let alone have a practice. Horrible bedside manner, he takes your money and once you are gone you no longer exist. RUN as far away as you can. The BBL results were not great either. Go to Florida, save your money and get results that will be worth your hard earned work. I paid for a revision and got botched horribly and my money stolen. Stay clear of this place.

I called this office and spoke with Claudia and made an appointment and she insisted that I’ll be there on time or will not be seen. I arrived 10 minutes early and they did not even had me down on the schedule even though I had txted them my implant card and full name. It took an hour and half just to be seen and during the time I was waiting in the lobby I witnessed several patients had similar issues and shaking their heads. After leaving we I had scheduled a Skype call to go over my plan which they didn’t even call me to let me know that they were not going make it, and I had to call myself and was informed that the doctor simply thinks that I’m not a good fit. This was all a huge inconvenience and overall a very bad experience with this surgeon. I think the staff were very unprofessional and unorganized and the surgeon did not follow up with me and seemed very careless and impatient.

After being disfigured with melanoma surgery on my face, my daughter-in-law suggested I see Dr Mowlavi. He took me in right away, assessed my condition, and said that he could fix everything and to trust him. I did, without question, and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made!. He is far better than just competent. He is a true artist!! My follow ups were timely and very reassuring. The final result was well above my expectations! I would highly recommend Dr Mowlavi without reservation.

We've had nothing but great doctors since moving to OC four years ago. That is untl I saw Dr. Mowlavi. Extremely unprofessional...called me "dude". Asked inapprorpriate questions to my wife. Didn't introduce himself upon entering room and appeared to rush through my minor surgery. Condescending and arrogant. Didn't offer any post-operative instructions and I googled and found out what I needed to know. Dr. Mowlavi is not a pleasant individual and his skills are very suspect based on my visit.

Coming to this office was a great experience all around. The staff was exceptionally friendly, organized, and the office was very clean. Dr. Mowlavi is truly the best at what he does. He made the whole visit as comfortable as possible and his attention to detail from the consult to the follow ups has been seamless thus far. Nothing but good things to say, highly recommended.

This man is an artist, truly. He has a fantastic practice and his staff are amazing. He was very professional and didn't try to upset me on procedures I didn't need. I could not be happier with Doctor Mowlavi and the staff of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Institute. I have undergone a number of procedures there including a full body lift, tummy tuck, breast augmentation and a face lift. The results have been wonderful. Dr. Mowlavi is very through in providing information and managing patient expectations. I found him to be very trustworthy and reliable. Thank God for Dr. Mowlavi! After having twin girls my stomach was torn I had diastasis and hernia. I looked like I was still pregnant after a year. I found Dr. Mowlavi on RealSelf after months of searching for the right doctor. I decided on Dr. Mowlavi after looking through every single photo and reading the reviews. I submitted an inquiry through RealSelf and got a call from James on a Sunday to discuss my inquiry. I couldn't even believe he was taking the time to talk to me on the weekend. Dr. Mowlavi has done several procedures on me. When I first met him and his staff it was for Botox. I now am a regular visitor for Botox and during my visits I have signed up for other various procedures including: High Definition Vaser Lipo – Results are AMAZING! I now have the flattest stomach and zero excess back fat and my tummy is completely defined. I feel and look 15 years younger! Brazilian Butt Lift – Results are AMAZING! My butt is now lifted and shaped. A 10+ for all procedures!

I came in for liposuction and I am so happy with my new body. The Dr. and staff are wonderful and it is clear that they are very experienced in what they do. I had nothing but positive experiences each time I came in.

Dr. Mowlavi comes across very confident and a bit cocky. I went with him because he was recommended by my friend and because he boasted about having another world renown surgeon in to asssit with the surgery. I wanted to have just a breast reduction, but was talked into Laser/sculpting Lipo with fat transfer to my butt. Unfortunately my boobs are not smaller and I think he put the fat in my hips instead of my rear. I also have weird lumps and indentations from the procedure. I’m not Happy

Dr.Mowlavi is seriously the best surgeon I have ever met. He takes his time with you, listens to all your needs/wants, and best bed side manner I’ve ever experienced. All of his staff are amazing as well I am so happy I found Dr.Mowlavi and will definitely be coming back and spreading his name around to all.

On 5/5 I had a Tummy Tuck done and a little fixing to my breasts due to a breast reduction done by another doctor that did a chop job. I was so scared because this was going to be such a big procedure but every time I went into the office Dr. Mowlavi would just get me so hyped I couldn't wait to get it done & see the end results. Amazing Doctor! Happy :)

I had an excellent experience. I was very nervous about the procedure and questions after. Dr. Mowlavi answered all al my questions. Made me feel good about myself. Seems as excited as I was!! Was there through the entire process and all follow ups. The staff way so nice to work with. Everything was explained, no hidden costs. I am glad as well as my neck shoulder and back to have followed through with the process. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mowlavi and his team.

went in for a gynecomastia, was very pleased with the quick results. Definitely did an amazing job. Follow ups are prompt and very descriptive as to what's to come and how to care for it. Overall I am more than satisfied.

I'm 2 weeks post op and im more than ecstatic with the results! James Camie and Tiffany have been there every step of the way during my recovery. Just went back for some liposuction on my inner knees, he did another great job! Doctor Mowlavi is extremely sweet and caring. He answered all of our questions and was very professional. He repaired my son's after breaking it playing football. He was able to get us in really quickly to get everything fixed. The office is clean and the staff is extremely kind and made my son very comfortable going into surgery. Definitely would go back to Dr. Mowlavi and recommend him to my friends!

I had a benign tumor on my neck that I kept cutting when shaving my face. I had it removed surgically two years previous but it had come back. I came to Dr. Mowlavi and he surprised me and cut if off so I could shave again without hair sticking out. What was especially nice was that the pathologist was in the operating room so he was able to look at the benign tumor right away. I am so stoked about how it looks and show it off to my other doctors who are equally impressed.

Dr. Mowlavi and his entire team are amazing! From when I first arrived in his office the staff was very welcoming and I felt like I was going to be in good hands. I am very happy with my procedure it turned out exactly like I wanted. The doctor was easy to work with and very understanding, he is a very nice person. The office is amazing, my service is excellent, they always called to remind me of my appointments, I never had any problems with the staff, everyone I worked with was very nice.

From the first time we walked in Dr Mowlavi the staff treat you like family and with dignity, they dont over talk you. I remember for my first surgery he stroked my arm when I went to sleep, he was very comforting and has fantastic bed side manner. When i was in a wheel chair he was one of the few doctors who actually talked to ME and not above me to my family instead. I am going through reconstruction surgery due to a mastectomy. Dr & staff have been terrific. Dr. Mowlavi takes the time to address any questions or concerns I may have. He is forthwith and detailed in his answers. Yes, I have had to wait from time to time in his office, but it is worth the wait!

Dr was very rude , plus didn't follow through on what he said he would do . My mother will /is suffering for his arrogance!
