Dr. Ari Leonard Ginsberg

No wait time for appointment which was good. Furniture in the waiting room was worn and the vinyl was peeling. Cancer patients waiting for a Hematologist should not have to spend their last few months on earth in theses conditions .Very disappointing for an NYU Langone facility. Dr. Ginsberg was dismissive and condescending. He cut me off when I was asking a question and then told me I asked the same question twice. Sorry, sometimes people are nervous when they are sick or have "Chemo Brain" and may ask the same question twice. Its your job to explain it again to the patient perhaps in a different way so that the patient can understand it better. This is unacceptable in my opinion.

Saw this Dr because I lost 50 lbs of muscle and trying to find the cause. Was experiencing many other symptoms as well. My Internalist recommended I see a hematologist and endocrinologist based on my symptoms and blood work. I came here as it was the quickest appointment. He stopped me while I told him my symptoms saying he doesn't want to hear anymore. He said there's nothing wrong with me, I just have anxiety. When I asked if he can refer me to a endocrinologist he said I should see a psychiatrist instead as he can't recommend an endocrinologist in good faith based on my blood work. Turns out I have something the endocrinologist can treat. Based on this interaction, unless you have a textbook blood disorder I wouldn't recommend this Dr. Saw this Dr because I lost 50 lbs of muscle and trying to find the cause. Dr Ginsberg is an excellent physician, he listens, he answers, best of all he gets back to you. Don't have to say when you need to see an encologist. Yes, he is rushed at times as are almost every other doctor in a metro area, but have never felt that I was left untreated or that the staff in the Marcus Ave location was non attentive or rude. absolutely kind, wonderful physician.. We recommend him highly and have done so .

would definitely recommend. He is attentive to your needs, and as almost every doctor practicing in a metro area has more patients to see than time, but he keeps his answers to the point, he returns messages and test results, and I find him above par in his work.

Best doctor! Kind, sensitive, takes time to explain. He’s kept me healthy and I recommend him highly!

Dr. Ginsberg has been my doctor for over 2 1/2 yrs. I am very happy with him and he listens to me and discusses all options with me.

Dr Ginsberg is a wonderful oncologist who treats my mother. He is courteous, professional and informative. Dr Ginsberg always has time to ask questions and explain the reasons for the therapy. We don’t feel rushed and find Dr Ginsbergs demeanor to be exceptional. He is a mensch !!! Highly recommended

This doctor should be ashamed of himself. My father was treated by him, if you can call it that and he was awful. Always in a rush, arrogant, rude and dismissive. He or his office staff Never followed up to see how my father was doing after chemo. I had to ask him the stage of my father's cancer in his waiting room as he ran by. This guy should not be in the business of cancer. I'd say research would be a good alternate where he doesn't have to talk to people. Now he is joining with NYU? BEWARE this guy is a uncaring and in my opinion not up on the best or latest treatments. He certainly didn't even consider what he was doing to my father. I regret deeply that I went with him. This doctor is the most arrogant uncaring doctors I have ever come in contact with. Being in the cancer business is not where this guy should be. My father was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. . I had to ask the Dr in his waiting area what stage it was as he ran through. He or his staff Never called to see how he was after his treatments. Office staff is equally nasty except for Pat. He was abrupt rushed and uncaring to the point or ridiculousness. He made a very tough situation 100% worse

This is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. He is arrogant, uncaring and down right rude. Never took the time to talk to me or my father who is battling ling cancer. Was dismissive of any questions and condescending when approached with a question about what maybe could help. He or his office staff Never bothered to call my dad after treatments and see how he was tolerating it. Horrible experience stay away

If I could give this doctor a zero, I would. Mike from Garden City is correct, Dr. Ginsburg is very unprofessional, arrogant and condescending. If it wasn't for some of the staff like Alyssa and Rachel the nurse, nobody would patronize them. They give cancer patients scheduling priority and leave everyone else out to dry. This probably has something to do with the money they make from cancer patients vs. other patients. Very unethical and I recommend you find another practice to deal with.

Please do yourself and stay away . Dr Ari Ginsberg has a horrible attitude, and couldn't care less about the patient. His unprofessional nasty attitude and lack of knowledge about medicine makes him the worst choice for a doctor to visit. If you care about your health please visit another doctor.
