Dr. April M Fetzer

Dr. Fetzer is amazing! She diagnosed and treated a situation that was quite debilitating for me with a perfect outcome! Her bedside manner is warm, compassionate, and intelligent. I felt like I was in excellent hands from our first meeting. I could not be happier about the results, and am walking pain-free for the first time in 2 years! Dr. Fetzer is a tremendous asset to the SW Florida community!

She is so professional, pleasant and caring. She has helped me with the pain I was having in both sides of my back for many years. I would recommend her for anyone who may be having back issues.

I was treated very rudely by Dr Fetzer and her assistant. I was referred to Dr. Fetzer by Dr. Henn for right hip and lower back pain. Dr Fetzer is a physiatrist and she first ordered physical therapy for me which I did and it helped somewhat but I was still in a lot of pain, so she suggested an SI joint injection which I had, and that did not seem to help either.. She gave me three options, surgery, trigger point injections, or an epidural. I had an epidural years ago for same problem which did not help so I chose the trigger point injection. I made the appointment for that and spoke with the appointment desk a couple times to make sure that I was scheduled for the right procedure. I was assured that I was. When I went for it, I was told I was not scheduled for that and just for a follow-up. I was upset because I felt I had made sure that I was going to get it that day because I've been suffering for quite a long time. I did say that somebody was incompetent and not doing their job because they did not schedule me for the injection. When Dr Fetzer walked in the room, she was very rude to me, she told me that I forget things and that I don't do the things that she tells me to do to get better, which is not true, I tried everything she asked of me. What she meant by the fact that I forget things is that she suggested putting me on cymbalta but I did not want to go on that medication and I told her that, so the next time I saw her she asked if I had tried it and I said I didn't, and that I did forget she suggested it but only because I did tell her I did not really want to take that medication since I was on something else similar to it. That is why I forgot about that suggestion. Other than that I had been doing everything she asked me to do to get better. However, she accused me of not doing the things that she was asking me to do and told me that I can't get better if I don't listen to her which is not true. I don't have early on set dementia, but if I did, and a doctor would say something like that to me that I forget things, I find that very rude and offensive. No doctor should treat you that way, I will not be going back to this practice. I've worked for doctors all my life and I know how they can have superior and rude attitudes, there are too many other choices of physicians in this area, I don't have to be treated that way. Also let me note that she did give me the trigger point injection, she did not say a word about what to expect afterwards or what to do to make it less painful such as icing, let's just say she gave me no advice at all she just did the injection and left the room. Very very unprofessional!

Great doctor

Everything and everyone was very professional. That alone made me comfortable.

Dr. Fetzer. Is the best. She always listen to me and answers all my questions. Have told any person I know if they are having back trouble go see her.

Dr. Fetzer took time to test my arm all over trying to find nerve damage.. I had no pain and we hope to find some results Mon.the 20th. Very nice person.

Dr. Fetzer showed me the MRI and explained three different ways to proceed with treatment very knowledgeable and explained it all in detail so I could understand!

Dr Fetzer listened to all my questions and concerns and answered them all. She’s caring and understanding. I’ll be getting a epidural for my sciatic nerve and I am so hoping it is the answer to this pain!

Dr. Fetzer gave very detailed answers to all my questions. Took the time to actually point out and explain my issues while reviewing my X-rays. Very personable!!

Thank you Dr. Fetzer and your team for making my procedure easier than I had expected. I had two injections into my lower spine. You all did a great job and I would recommend you and your team for anyone who is dealing with back pain.

I had my first visit with Dr. Fetzer today and am very grateful to have her as my doctor to deal with pain. She inspires me with 100% confidence. Smart, listens, excellent communication style. Entire office experience was positive. Top notch.

Dr. April Fetzer was an extremely nice and informative doctor. She checked both of my arms by preforming nerve induction studies. She explained everything that she was doing. The studies are no way pleasurable, but she made me as comfortable as possible for the whole thing! I really like this practice, and will be going here from now on as needed. Thank you doc for a job "well done"!!!

I have gone to this practice for many years and used the appropriate doctor for whatever was bothering me. I cannot say enough about the doctors they are excellent. They went over and above to fit me into their schedule for my latest problem.

one nice thing is the first room actually warms you up! Dr. offices are generally ice boxes but enjoyed the visit.

It was a very concise and informative first time visit. The doctor explained the various options for treating my problem given me different options.

Online paperwork was perfect Very organized office Dr. Fetzer was listened to my concerns and provided appropriate therapy.

I saw Dr. Fetzer today at 2:20 and was surprised that the injection was not very painful. The injection for the pain meds I felt, but when she inserted the meds I did ot feel it.

Took plenty of time to discuss my pain issues. Then discussed my options. Pleasant demeanor. Very thorough. Would deal recommend Dr Fetzer to anyone in need of pain management.
