I spoke to Evelyn, the lady who answered the phone who stated she has worked there 21 years. From the get go, she was rude and had an attitude, when she asked me a question of what I needed to get done, I tried to explain to her but I'm not a doctor so I didn't know the correct way to say it, I just explained it, that made her become more rude. The lady had no customer service skills whatsoever so when I asked to speak to someone else, her next response was then maybe you should go to another doctor! Completely unprofessional and I would never trust a place like this if they have kept her employed for 21 years as she said, read other reviews on this nasty rude lady! Dr. Ong is an excellent general surgeon with decades of expertise and knowledge which he brings to his practice. I was fortunate to have him as my surgeon when undergoing difficult and complicated procedures. Dr. Ong truly cares about the well-being of each patient he treats and his post-sugical follow-up is commendable. His office assistant Evelyn is truly a treasure. She is straightforward and direct while being thorough, highly efficient, caring and kind. I am extremely satisfied with the level of care I received and highly recommend Dr. Ong and Evelyn to anyone seeking a great general surgeon and post surgery care. Hi my name is Lenette, I am 41 years of age. I recently needed a surgery on both breasts due to a banine growth on each side that caused me pain. I was a bit worried due to past surgeries because I remembered how painful it was, and how long the healing of scars had took. I did undergo surgery with Dr. Antonio Ong as my surgeon, on Jan. 29th 2020 and my recovery has been awesome. He stitched from inside out and the incision is visibly almost gone. When I asked for explanation, dr. Used to the word “trash” to explain what was wrong. Unprofessional much? Spent all of 1 minute with me and left when I still had questions, just refereed me to asked the staff. Did not go over with me about options, which I now found out I have a couple. Going to cancel my surgery.

Went to the ER to Beverly Hospital, for a gallbladder surgery....Dr.Ong was very amable explained to me what the procedure was going to be, everything came out a success, went to follow up to his clinic in Rosemead staff was nice, and took care of me asap...

First visit front desk extremely rude didn't want to call doctor for results and gave me attitude awful experience

I had a very horrible experience on my first appointment. The office assistant named Evelyn was so rude and disrespectful in the presence of other patients. Just absolutely rude. This lady should not work there. Here's my experience: I arrived for my scheduled appointment. As I am signing in, she asks for my name and appointment time. I relinquish that information. Evelyn then stated, "No, you don't have an appointment! (High pitched voice and attitude). I remained calm and polite. I demonstrated my phone to her letting her know when I initially placed the call to make the appointment and another call (the day of my appointment) to confirm it. Evelyn argued with me as if she forgot she was at work and maybe at some debate committee. I asked to speak with the doctor. She instead continued to argue and the patients in the office were shaking their heads. I still maintained calm. I informed her that proof was shown and she even checked her phone to confirm the calls I made to the office coincided with my cell phone history and that still wasn't enough. She even asked me why I needed to be seen. Ever heard of HIPPA? Patient privacy? But the way, I called her out on that to stating that I should not have to disclose that information in the presence of patients in the lobby. Long story short- I was seen by the doctor and his assistant- EVELYN- I told the Dr what had transpired and that I was uncomfortable with Evelyn. She got upset and left the office with a nasty look on her face. Before she left, I explained to Evelyn in the presence of Dr. Ong that I was going to file a formal complaint and post this on Google and Yelp. I told the doctor that it's not fair to him and his practice to receive such complaint. However, the seriousness of this matter needed this attention. Dr. Ong shook his head and apologized on her behalf. Evelyn- if you are reading this, learn. This post should be a reminder for you to change your ways and never treat anyone this way ever again. I'm posting this so that you don't do this and get away with it. It's unacceptable and I'm voicing it on here. I'm also gonna report Evelyn to the state and BBB. Thank you. I had a very horrible experience in my first appointment. The office assistant named Evelyn was so rude and disrespectful in the presence of other patients. Just absolutely rude. This lady should not work there. Does not respect HIPPA and very nasty. I told the dr. What transpired in the presence of Evelyn and he apologized on her behalf.

STAFF IS POLITE AND HELPFUL. LONG WAIT TIME FOR APPOINTMENT. EXAM ROOMS RUN-DOWN AND DIRTY, MAKES YOU WONDER IF DR. ACCEPTS THIS CONDITION HOW BOUT DURING SURGERY? ARE TOOLS STERILIZED HANDS CLEAN? DR, DOES NOT EXPLAIN PROCEDURE NOR RECOVERY. HE SPENT 2 MIN. WITH ME THEN BOOKED SURGERY. SCARY???
