Dr. Anthony W. Tolcher

Been seeing Dr. Tolcher for years and he is compassionate, caring and efficient. He always makes you feel like you can ask plenty of questions, never rushed, and is knowledgeable and up-to-date on all new medicines and treatments.

Highest possible rating! Dr. Tolcher is easily the BEST doctor of ANY kind or specialty I have ever had! I have followed him to several different locations because of how much I appreciate and like him. The best part is that his influence can be felt throughout his entire staff as well.

I am seeing too many changes that are going on that i do not like. My favorite nurses that left the START Center to follow Dr Tolcher are leaving for other jobs opportunities due to their unhappiness with Dr Tolcher. I left the START Center because of the quality care that I received with Dr Tolcher's staff. Do not like current nurse that takes my blood for labs, every time she works on me i have passed out. Not one time has she preformed a good draw from me, she scares me, I do not want her touching me! Also there's a new nurse that gave me the lupron injection knew nothing about the drug. She did not know that it burns as it is injected, she found out afterwards from me and the nurses at the desk, "Oh Yeah, by the way". She did not know to use the cold spray to numb the area before injecting me either. I also understand Dr Tolcher is under financial distress, and maybe covering too much ground. idk

I was referred to Dr. A. Tolcher by Dr. R. Mennel because a third tumor had been discovered. At the time I was resigned to an earlier prognosis of surviving five years from my first diagnosis of uterine sarcoma in May 2017. Dr. Tolcher took the time to listen to my history and concerns. He provided my, son, daughter-in-law and me a thorough explanation of the treatment plan he felt was best for me. I knew I was in good hands at that consultation. I appreciate everyone at Texas Oncology and at Next Oncology. Dr. Tolcher has always been very supportive, patient, professional and genuinely thoughtful. His positive words eased my fears and I’m extremely fortunate for the excellent outcome of my treatments. One last note. I get a kick hearing Dr.Tolcher refer to Dr.Mennel as Bob and Dr.Mennel refers to Dr. Tolcher as Tony. Both my mother and I are his patients. Dr Tolcher is amazing, as a Dr and person. He is simply the best you’ll ever find. Exceptionally caring, and thorough, to be under his care brings hope during very difficult times. His facility is impeccable and top notch, state of the art. Have been seeing Dr Tolcher for many years now. He is a excellent doctor, very knowledgeable and up to date on current treatments. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Tolcher is an excellent physician. He is so knowledgeable in all things cancer, he's compassionate, and a wonderful patient educator. He and his staff are top notch! Give clinical trials a chance. They put me in remission from stage 4 colon cancer and who knows, one of those trials just might be right for you!

Excellent! He and his staff are truly caring and compassionate. They are very knowledgeable and I feel comfortable and well cared for by each and every one there. Dr Tolcher is always encouraging, informative, and takes time to answer any questions. His answers and explanations have been such a comfort to me personally. I highly recommend Dr Tolcher.
